"Woah," Cassandra breathed out softly, admiring the ring Chance got Caterina. They were all on Hogwarts Express on their back to school. After Christmas Day passed, the rest of the holidays seemed to fly by. A lot happened over Christmas for Cassie.
She met Fred and George's whole family, she told the boys about the Marauders Map, she learned that it was ok to stumble along the way sometimes, she gained a little hope of going back home, when her father sent her her old broom, she learned how to bake and most importantly, 'Berties Botts Beans', won the 'food fight'.
Currently, Cassie, Caterina, Lee, Fred and George were sitting in a compartment for eight, catching up on everyone's Christmases. So far it was just Cat and Cass showing each other their Christmas gifts, while Fred sat with a pout on his face that Cassie didn't sit beside him and was instead admiring some expensive rings, her Slytherin friend got her and not just any Slytherin, no.......a boy Slytherin.
"It's gorgeous, how come there isn't a little button?" Cass questioned, thinking about her own ring that stuck to her, so she couldn't lose it.
"Because she isn't a clumsy little shit like you, and won't lose it within two days, while casually tumbling down some stairs." A familiar voice stated teasingly. They turned there heads to see Chance strut in, he had a large grin spread across he is face. Cassie sneered at him.
"Well, don't you know how to make a girl feel special."
Fred lifted his eyebrows in satisfaction and grinned at the two bickering. Caterina let out a small whisper, but it was loud enough for everyone to hear.
"This ring makes me feel special."
Chances breath caught in his throat. "Really." He shoved Cass out of the way and sat down beside the Hufflepuff. "I eh- picked it out myself." He bragged.
"Well, duh, who else would?" Lee questioned. There was an awkward silence. Cassie didn't notice it though and instead staring at the empty spot by Fred, debating on sitting there or not.
Chance spluttered and looked over at Cass with a pleading face, but she was in a daze.
"Thank you Chance, it's beautiful." Cat spoke up softly, with a dreamy smile. Chance just blushed and admired her.
Cassie went to go sit beside Fred, but stood up too fast and tripped over her own two feet. She bashed into the compartment door, hitting her head in the process.
"Ow," she whined quietly, George looked up at the girl.
"How is it that your better at flying than actually walking, or even standing?" He questioned. His other half spoke up.
"Where are you going anyways?" He asked, obviously not wanting her to leave. Cassie blushed, and laughed sheepishly.
"Eh, I- I wanted to sit beside you." Now it was Fred's turn to blush, they both kind of just froze for a moment or two. Cassie flopped down on the empty seat beside Fred.
"Why?" Chance asked bluntly, both Fred and Cassie scowled at him.
"Well do you want me to come back and sit with you?" Chance looked very cautious at the girl.
"No." He replied slowly. Cass hummed and looked at him with a look that said 'that's what I thought'.
"And whys that?" She question simply as if she was talking to a five year old.
"Because if you come back over, your gonna hit me." He answered. Cassie gave a nod that slightly said 'that's right, now hush'.
While Lee went into detail over the Christmas gift he sent Angelina. Fred noticed Cass rub her head where she hit it off the door.
"Here, lay your head on my shoulder, if it hurts to much." Cassie sighed gratefully and gently rested her head against him.
"Thanks Freddie."

Halfway through the ride to Hogwarts, everyone in the compartment was chatting away, Fred and Cassie were once again laughing at cheesy pick-up-lines.
Cassie face lit up, "ohhh I got a good one," she cleared her throat, "you remind me of a golden snitch," she paused "'cause your quite the catch." They both burst into laughter, until Lee hushed them all frantically.
"Angelinas coming in, pretend I said something funny!"
It startled them all, but when Angelina slid open the door, they all bust out faking laughing, which sounded awfully forced. Angelina furrowed her eyebrows and Lee started at them at with astonishment mixed with disappointment.
When the odd laughter died down, Cassie croaked out a small, "so funny." Fred held his breath trying not to snigger at the girl, but was unsuccessful as Cassie swatted his arm.
Angelina scanned them all, as if looking for someone and not taking a second glance at Lee, who was gazing up at her with hope. "Hey everyone," then her eyes zeroed in on someone, "hey George." She breathed out twisting her hair around her fingers.
Fred elbowed George, the boy looked up at her after stuffing his face, with one of the chocolate frogs they bought from the trolly lady. He spoke, but only muffled words came out and so did some chocolate.
"Ey Agila."
Lee glanced back and fourth at the two, and tried catching the girls attention. "You- eh like my Christmas present?"
Angelina absentmindedly nodded, still gazing at George, who just kept eating. "Yeah, yeah I've......eaten it already." Lee looked deflated.
Cassie gritted her teeth together, squinting her eyes at the girl. "Hello Angelina!" She practically shouted, trying to take her attention way from the younger twin. "Where's the girls?!"
Angelina jumped, "wh-what? Oh right yes the girls, right, I should probably go back to them yeah. Bye." She took one more glance at George and left. Nobody spoke for a bit, until Lee whispered, so quietly in fact that you almost had to strain your ears to hear him.
"I got her a notebook and quill."
Fred, tried to lighten the mood. "Wow, and here I was, giving out about mums beef stew being tough to chew."
Everyone stayed quiet, not finding it funny at all, so they just stared at him shaking their heads. Cassie on the other hand, buried her face in Fred's shoulder, trying her best not to snort with laughter.
Fred gazed down at the girl and smiled at her.
Soon enough they arrived at Hogwarts, had dinner and headed up to their dorms after a long day. Cassie made a mental note to ask Angelina about what happened on the train, and slept with her new quaffle cushion under her arm.
