"There's three e's in nineteen dumbass."
Cassie scanned over her History of Magic essay, "what the hell are you talking about?" Chance pointed out the misspelled word.
"That says nin-teen, was it nin-teen years ago? Was it? Was it Cassandra?" He teased. Cassie grumbled, fixing it.
"Merlin, should have just asked Katie to help."
Chance was currently helping Cassie finish her homework in the library, because, while she perfectly capable of doing it on her own, well, she just needed Chance to keep her on track. So far Cassie has dazed off five times and tried to leave twice.
Chance was sniggering at the girl, but cut himself off, when two Hufflepuffs walked in side by side whispering together.
When Cassie glanced up to see what was wrong, she lifted an eyebrow at Chance as he glared, confused as to why Cedric Diggory was strolling over to their table with Caterina.
"Don't say anything." She hissed at him, he was never really fond of the boy, so never had anything nice to say about him. Chance shrugged his shoulders, whispering "hey, anything can happen,".
"Hey Cassie, hello Kingston." Cedric nodded. Chance cringed at Cedric when he said Cassie, instead of her full name.
"Diggory." He mumbled, sinking down in his chair, trying to cover his angered expression with Cassies book.
Cass smiled, "hey guys, what class did you just have?" When Cedric opened his mouth to reply, Chance cut him off.
"Herbology." He answered automatically, but then realised what he said. "I think, maybe, I'm not sure. I don't know Cats schedule, like why- why would I know that."
"I wasn't really expecting you to know that, that's......why I didn't ask you." Cassie grinned. Chance turned red, glanced at Cat, spluttered out some incoherent sounds and went back to the book.
Cedric broke the silence, "we did actually have herbology yeah. It was disgusting, but fun. Definitely better than History of Magic. I could help you with that essay you know, I did it yesterday." He stared down at Cass, who had a blank face.
"What essa- oh right yeah. Em, no it's ok, Chance is helping me."
Chance puffed up his chest with pride. "That's right." He sounded strong and confident. Then he turned to Cat and spoke gently, "I could help you to, if you want."
Caterina giggled, "I did it last week, you know, when it was assigned."
"Eh yeah right, go you, so smart." Chance smiled in admiration, seemingly in a daze. Cassie squinted her eyes at the Slytherin and sighed.
