Cassandra frowned at the ground beneath her, questions circling over and over in her mind. She never thought someone would ever have a problem with her sexuality, apart from her mother of course, but, she was just a bitch.
Cass thought of her friends, non of them have ever said anything about it, Lee was clueless about it at first, but then when he understood he supported her no matter what. It wasn't like being bi was a bad thing, it wasn't hurting anyone, was it?
The girl was so wrapped up in her thoughts, she didn't hear the soft footsteps following her. But when a branch snapped behind her, she finally glanced up from the ground. Before she had time to react however, everything went black.

Cass gasped for a breath, desperately trying to fill her lungs with air, but all she got was a mouthful of water. She panicked and grabbed at her throat, scrapping her neck as if it would somehow release the water she had swallowed.
Cassie looked up, searching for the surface, but it was nowhere to be seen. Her eyes stung from keeping them open, and her lungs felt as if they were about to burst. Cass tried to swim upwards, but was tugged down, an inaudible scream slipping past her lips as something dug into her ankle.
When she glanced down, she could see that her ankle had some type of bracelet around it, with spikes all around the inside, drawing blood from her skin, staining the water surrounding her red. The bracelet was attached to a heavy chain that disappeared into the sand.
Cassie was stuck, but in her struggle to get out, a flashing light struck her. Suddenly her throat cleared of the suffocating liquid and she was able to breath again, if she worked for it. Cass recognised the bubble charm covering from her nose down, she remembers her and Fred practising it together, having to jump in the black lake as a hide out after they pranked Percy on the beach.
Cassies body slumped, but only slightly, taking a moment just to breath. She calmed a bit before reaching for her wand, scolding herself for not using it earlier. Cass' stomach dropped when she couldn't feel her wand in her back pocket. She moved about, trying to feel her wand, but the struggle caused the spikes around her ankle to tighten, making her tense up in pain.
Some seaweed up ahead rustled and Cass snapped her head up, she could tell it wasn't just from the movement of the water. She glanced around, noticing the circle of green around her. Cassie brought her hands to squeeze her head, trying to think, then she realised how she wasn't shivering from the icy water.
It was if a lightbulb went off in her head as she turned and grabbed the chain at her feet, pulling her body downwards, while trying not to let her guard down. Cassie concentrated hard, feeling her hands give that familiar tingle. The old metal began to turn red with heat.
Cass continuously glanced around her, her head never in the same place for more than a second. The rustling that was only in front of her, started spreading and soon, there was no piece of seaweed that gently waved at her, they all shook violently.
