I felt my hands shaking as I pressed 1. My mind was going a million miles a minute as the phone rang twice. "Violet?" Colby asked as I sighed. "Why the hell are you an inmate?" I asked angrily as I brought my hand to my forehead.

"I can't tell you. Just come see me." He said as my brow scrunched. The phone was low quality so it was breaking out a lot. "Okay. I'm coming...what do I do when I get there?" I asked and stood up to go downstairs.

"Just tell them your name." He said as I nodded. Before I could answer another automated message was playing through the speaker. "The call has now ended. Goodbye." It said then hung up.

"Jesus Christ." I groaned then grabbed my keys. I ran out to my car then got in as I typed the address into my phone. I think it hadn't set in yet that Colby had been arrested, considering he wrote a note that he was going to the store.

Did he get arrested at the store?

I took a shaky breath then started driving. Luckily it was only ten minutes away so I didn't have to worry for too long. I thought about calling Sam to ask if he knew anything but I didn't want to waste any time.

I needed to get to Colby.

When I walked into the detention center I went to the front desk. I noticed that there were a bunch of people in the lobby. "Hi, how can I help you?" The officer behind the desk asked. "I'm here to see an inmate." I said as she nodded. "Name?" She asked and looked at her clipboard.

"Violet Richards." I said as she nodded. "You'll be at booth 3. We'll start bringing people into the holding center in a couple minutes. You can take a seat." She said as I nodded and turned to sit down.

I pulled my phone out and tried to call Sam but there was no service in this building. It didn't matter though because I was going to find out what happened in a few minutes anyways.

I waited in the waiting area for a while before they called all of us into the holding center. It was a long line of booths made of cement and glass. There were phones at each station and a tiny cut out in the bottom of the glass.

Every booth was labeled with a number at the top. I walked to the one labeled 3 then sat down and waited. I could feel my heart beating out of my chest as I waited. Inmates slowly started walking out of a door that was off to the side. Each person was accompanied by a police officer which gave me chills.

After a couple minutes the officer brought someone in an orange jumpsuit to my booth. I had to hold back a scream when I realized it wasn't Colby.

It was Peter.

He smiled a disgusting smile as I froze with fear. He pointed to the phone as I started hyperventilating. I couldn't believe that I was tricked so easily into coming here. I should have known better.

"Answer the phone, Violet." Peter said as I shook my head. I knew I should have just grabbed my bag and ran but I was frozen. I couldn't breathe, I couldn't see, I couldn't do anything but stare at the disgusting person in front of me that haunted my dreams.

It's been years since I have seen him but he looked exactly how I remembered. He was a little skinnier though and his eyes were even crazier.

"ANSWER THE PHONE!" He screamed causing me to flinch and involuntarily reach for the phone.  I brought it to my ear as my hands trembled. "What do you want?" I whispered as he smiled. "To see my beautiful bride." He said as I shook my head. "How did you get my phone number?" I asked as the fear bubbled in my belly.

"I know everything about you. I know how to get you to come to me too." He said as my jaw quivered. "I can be Colby, too." He said in an impression of Colby's voice which was almost perfect. "Leave us the fuck alone." I said, trying to keep my voice steady. I think he could tell I was scared though because he just grinned a disgusting grin.

"You're mine forever, Violet. No matter what happens you'll always be mine." He said then reached his hand through the slot at the bottom of the glass. I pulled my hand back as reality finally set in. "Rot in hell." I said then hung the phone up and grabbed my bag.

"You're mine, Violet!!" I heard him yell as I quickly made my way out of the room. I didn't turn back or stop at all on the way to the car. I could feel a panic attack bubbling within me as my mind soaked in what just happened.

Even in prison he was stalking me.

When I got to the car I shakily reached for my phone as my chest clenched. I was trying so desperately to keep myself together but this was my worst nightmare.

I called Colby and put the phone on speaker so I wouldn't have to hold the phone.

"Hey baby, where are you?" Colby asked as I hyperventilated. "What's going on, V? Where are you?" He asked as I covered my face with my hands. "H-h-he t-tricked me." I said shakily as I tried to breathe.

"Who? Baby, you have to tell me where you are." Colby asked frantically. "H-he's still s-talking me." I said and beat my hand against my chest. "Violet. Where are you. I'm gonna come get you." He said as I shook my head. "H-he tricked me." I said as I slowly started regaining my composure.

"Baby girl, please just tell me where you are." He said as I leaned back in my seat. "I-I'm coming h-home." I said and tried to start the car but my hands were shaking too much. "No. That's not safe, just tell me where you are. I'll uber there and we can drive home together." He said as I nodded. "Prison." I said quietly as I rubbed my aching chest.

"Which one?" He asked as I closed my eyes. "M-metropolitan." I mumbled. "Okay, baby. I'm on my way to you." He said as I looked around, feeling paranoid. "Please hurry." I whispered.

Colby ended up staying on the phone with me until he got to the parking lot. When he got there he came over to my side of the car and opened my door. As soon as he did this I lunged forwards, wrapping my arms around him.

"I'm here, baby. I'm here." He said and held me tightly. "I-I'm sorry." I whispered as he rubbed my back gently. "What happened?" He asked and tucked my head under his chin. I took a deep shaky breath as I tried to keep myself together.

"I got a call f-from the prison a-and I-it was you." I said as he pulled away to look at me. "What do you mean?" He asked as I shivered. "It was Peter. H-he was impersonating you." I whispered as his jaw clenched. "Did you see him?" He asked as I nodded. "I thought it was you...I thought you got arrested. H-he knows my p-phone number." I said and closed my eyes as he pulled me into his chest again.

"We'll get it changed. He's never gonna hurt you again." He said as I shook my head and pulled away from him. "He's still stalking me. I-I don't know how but he is. I can't do this again Colby." I said as he brushed my hair behind my ear.

"I'm not gonna let him hurt you again. I'm gonna call some people tomorrow and see what we can do about this but for right now, let me just protect you." He said as I nodded. "I love you." I whispered then cupped his cheek with my hand. "I love you too, Violet." He said then kissed me.

When we pulled away from each other he helped me get out of the car so he could drive us home. It was still so surreal to me that Peter could easily coax me back into his presence after all these years. It made me worried about what he was doing with his free time since I thought he would have gotten over me in the past 3 years.

I guess he didn't.

When we got home we went upstairs. Colby got a bath ready for me as I went to grab some fresh clothes. "Can you make sure there's nobody in the house?" I asked quietly as I walked into the bathroom. "Yeah, I'll be right back." He said then came over and kissed my head.

As he did this I got undressed so I could get in the tub. When I got in the tub I let the warm water relax me. I sat there for a minute before Colby came back in. "Coast is clear, and the doors are locked." He said then came over to the tub. "Are you feeling a little better?" He asked as I nodded.

"I'll be okay." I said with a small smile as he leaned over and kissed my head. "I know you will be. You're pretty tough." He said as I nodded. I knew that this could possibly fuck me up for a while and spark up some paranoia but I would get through it.

I would always get through it and come out stronger than ever.
