We spent the rest of the night chilling and researching baby stuff. Now that I told Colby about how I've been feeling about the pregnancy I felt a little more excited.

I was still really nervous to tell people but Colby was right. This was supposed to be a happy thing and I needed to just enjoy it because I wasn't going to be pregnant forever.

When we woke up though I was feeling extremely sick, which I was hoping would have gone away in the second trimester. I couldn't get out of bed as my stomach churned.

"Good morning, beautiful." Colby said as I groaned and hid my face in the pillow. "I need a bucket." I mumbled as he sighed and brushed my hair from my face. "Oh, baby. You feel sick?" He asked as I nodded. "Okay, don't move." He said then slipped out of bed.

I closed my eyes and put my hands on my head as he walked across the room to grab the empty ice bucket. "Do you think you can make it to the bathroom?" He asked as I shook my head and whimpered. "Okay, sit up." He said then gently helped me sit up.

I let out a deep breath as Colby held the bucket in front of me then carefully tied my hair into a bun. "God, this sucks." I groaned as I held onto the bucket, waiting for my stomach to settle.

We sat there for a while before I finally threw up into the bucket. Once I was done, Colby looked at me with a frown on his face.

"I feel better." I mumbled as my stomach started to settle. "I was dumb for thinking the sickness would just go away because I'm in the second trimester." I said and put the bucket on the table.

"According to my book it should die down soon." Colby said as I grinned at him. "You and your book are so cute." I said then laid back in the bed so I could make sure my stomach was settled.

"I just feel so bad that you're over here, doing all the work and getting sick everyday. I at least have to do my part." He said then stood up so he could clean out the bucket.

"Well I really appreciate you." I said with a small smile as I grabbed my phone. My stomach was settled for the most part so I wanted to text Beatrice since we were going to lunch with her before going to the airport later.

"Do you think we should tell Beatrice about the baby? It's okay if you want your parents to be the first to know." I said as Colby got ready to go take a shower.

"We can if you want. I know she's like your second mom." He said as I sighed. "Yeah, it'll be good practice for when we tell your parents too." I said with a smile.

"Yeah, are you feeling okay though?" He asked then opened the door to the bathroom. "Yeah, throwing up really helped." I said with a sigh then got up.

"Good, are you gonna come shower with me?" He asked as I giggled. "Sure." I said then grabbed the clothes I wanted to wear.

We ended up taking a long shower then packed our stuff up since we were leaving tonight. It was bittersweet leaving so soon but there wasn't much to see or do here.

Once we were ready we brought our stuff to the car then made our way to the lunch spot that we were meeting Beatrice at.

When we got to the restaurant we were sat in the back by a fireplace. "I don't know if I'm gonna eat." I said as we slid into the booth.

"I think you should try to eat something. I know my parents will have food when we get to their place but you're eating for two." Colby said as we looked at the menu.

"Maybe I'll have some soup." I said as Beatrice came over to the table. "Violet!" She said as I smiled and stood up. "Hey! How are you?" I asked as she rubbed my back. "I'm good! You look so good,  you look happy." She said and cupped my chin.

"You have no idea." I said then a smiled as she sighed. "I'm so sorry I couldn't come to your wedding. You know how hospitals can be sometimes." Beatrice said as we sat down.

"It's okay, I can show you the pictures if you want." I said with a smile as Colby put his hand on my leg. "Oh, I'd love that." Beatrice said with a smile as the waitress came over.

We ordered our food then started looking at the wedding photos. "You guys look so nice!" Beatrice said with a smile as she put her hand on her cheek. "It was so beautiful. We got married in a barn with fairy lights hung everywhere." I explained as she scrolled through the photos.

"I know you and Daisy don't talk anymore but I think she would love to see these." Beatrice said as I nodded. "I'll send you some so you can show her." I said quietly as she nodded. "She's doing better ya know. She's really grown since you've seen her last time." She explained as I nodded.

"I think about her from time to time. I'm glad she's doing well though." I said then looked over at Colby as he smiled at me. I knew he hated when I talked about Daisy because he didn't want me to slip into old ways with how much I thought I was worth. Over the years though I think he started to understand where I was coming from.

We sat and talked for a while before our food got to the table. I decided to just get a bowl of soup and some bread because I was scared of getting sick again. I was also extremely worried about telling Beatrice about the baby.

"What brings you back to Ohio anyways? There's not much to do here." Beatrice asked as we ate. "Well we came to see my parents and grams, we kinda had to tell them something." I said quietly as I ate my bread. "Oh?" She asked as I nodded.

"Yeah...Colby and I are actually expecting." I said and reached for my bag so I could get the sonogram out. "No way." Beatrice said as a smile bloomed on her face. "I'm pregnant." I said with a smile and handed her the sonogram.

"Oh my god! Oh, Violet...you're gonna be such a good mom." Beatrice said as Colby put his hand on my leg again, caressing it with his thumb. "Yeah?" I asked quietly a my eyes watered. "Yeah. Are you excited?" She asked as we nodded. "We are so excited. I agree with you that Violet is gonna be a great mom." Colby said as I held the tears back.

"Guys stop, I'm so emotional." I said with a laugh as I grabbed my napkin. "We're just being honest. This is so exciting! How far along are you?" Beatrice asked as I grabbed my water. "Fourteen weeks." I said as I put my hand on my belly.

"Wow! That is so amazing. I am so happy for you." She said with a smile as I nodded. "Thanks, Beatrice. You're the first real person we've told." I said as she gasped. "I'm honored. My lips are sealed." She said as I leaned my head on Colby's shoulder.

"Thanks, Beatrice." I said with a smile as she handed me the sonogram. I looked at it for a second before carefully putting it in my bag.

We sat and enjoyed the rest of our dinner before it was time for us to go to the airport. "It was so good to see you, honey." Beatrice said then gave me a big hug. "It's always good to see you." I said and pulled away. "I'll keep you updated on the pregnancy if you want me to." I said as Colby hugged her.

"Yes! If you have any questions or anything, just reach out!" Beatrice said with a smile. "Will do. Thanks for meeting with us." I said and opened my car door. "Of course! Have a safe flight." She said with a smile then waved as she walked to her car.

When we got in the car I looked over at Colby. "We did it." I said as he grinned. "No, you did it." He said as I smiled. "I guess I did." I said then put my hand on my belly. "You're telling your parents though." I said as he grinned. "You got it. Are you ready for it?" He asked as he started the car.

"I'm ready." I said with a nod.
