"V, what's going on?" Kat asked as I sobbed and dialed Colby's number. "Somethings wrong." I cried out as my hands trembled so badly I thought I was going to seize up.
"Woah, breathe, V." Ki cooed as Colby's voicemail played in my ear. "S-somethings wrong!" I repeated as panic set in. I started hyperventilating as Sam and Colby's screams flooded through my brain.
"Violet. You have to breathe for me sweetie." Ki said as she took my face in her hands. "S-s-somethings not right." I whispered as I beat my chest with my hand.
In the back of my head I knew panicking like this wasn't good for the baby in my belly but I couldn't stop the panic attack from rippling through me.
"Shhh, I'm sure they are okay..it was just a bad dream." Devyn said quietly as Tara handed me a glass of water. I shook my head then tried to call Colby again, only to be sent to voicemail.
"He's not answering!" I said in a panic as Kat wrapped her arms around me. "They probably don't have service, V..you need to calm down." Kat said quietly as I melted into her embrace.
"I'm sorry." I whispered after a minute. "It's okay, babes. You're okay." Ki said and gave me a hug as my phone started ringing.
"Thank god." I whispered then answered the phone. "Are you okay?" I asked and sniffled. "V..I have to tell you something but please don't freak out." He said as my heart stopped.
"Please tell me you're okay." I said and rubbed my chest as tears formed in my eyes again. "Before I tell you what happened, just know that Sam and I are okay now." He said as my heart stopped again.
"Colby just tell me what's going on." I asked nervously as I rubbed my chest.
"We were robbed." He said as my eyes widened. "What do you mean you were robbed?" I asked as my voice cracked. "We were exploring the building when this group of guys came in and robbed us." He said as I brought my hand to my mouth.
"We're okay. They just took our money and left. We're going to the hotel now." He explained calmly as I shook my head.
"Please come home..." I whispered as the girls looked at me with concern. "We're catching a flight in the morning. I know you're scared baby, but we're gonna come home as soon as we can." He said as I shook my head.
"They didn't hurt you?" I asked and brushed the tears off of my cheeks. "No. We just gave them all of our money so they would leave." He explained. "Good." I said quietly as I fidgeted with my necklaces.
"Are you gonna be okay?" Colby asked as I scoffed. "You're asking if I'm gonna be okay?" I asked as he chuckled. "Yeah." He said simply as I sniffled. "I'll be okay. Just please come home to me." I said as he breathed a laugh
"I will. I love you so much, baby. I know it's gonna be hard but try to relax for the night. You shouldn't be so stressed right now, it's not good for you." He said as I nodded. "You're right. I love you too, please call me again when you can." I said as Ki took my hand and massaged it gently.
"Okay, baby. I love you, please try to get some rest." He said as I nodded. "I love you more." I said then hung up.
"What happened?" Ki asked as I covered my face with my hands. "They got robbed. He didn't tell me any of the details but they're coming home tomorrow." I said quietly as they all gasped.
"Holy shit." Ki whispered as Kat pulled out her phone and called Sam. "Are they okay?" Devyn asked as I nodded slowly. "I think so..." I said and looked down at my shaking hands.
I watched as Kat paced the room, talking to Sam on the phone. She looked about as worried as I felt, which only made sense.
"Did you want us to stay here?" Devyn asked quietly as I nodded. "Please." I said as Kat came back and sat next to me. "They're okay." She said quietly as I nodded.
"How did you know something was wrong?" Devyn asked as we all tried to settle down. "I don't know, I just had a bad dream." I said with a sigh. "That's crazy. It's like you and Colby have this crazy connection." She said as I laughed.
"Or I just have copeous amounts of anxiety." I said with a sigh. "That's more accurate." Ki said with a laugh. "I think I want to make some pancakes." I said then stood up.
"Pancakes? It's like 9pm." Tara said as I breathed a laugh. "Yeah, I'm just stressed out and need to do something with my hands and pancakes sound good right now." I said then started walking towards the kitchen.
"I'll help you." Kat said then followed me into the kitchen. "Are you okay?" I asked her as I pulled out the ingredients. "I will be. I just hate that they are always putting themselves in danger." Kat said and helped me by getting the mixing bowl out.
"Yeah. I'm just so grateful that they are okay. That could have went horribly wrong." I said and chewed my lip.
"Seriously. God, I don't know what I would do if they were killed or hurt." Kat said as I shook my head. "Me neither. I guess we would just have to marry eachother." I said, trying to lighten the mood.
"That's the perfect solution to that problem." Kat said with a small laugh as I nodded. "Well now we have a backup plan for when they leave town again." I said as she shook her head. "They aren't leaving town for a long ass time." She said as I laughed. "True." I said with a small laugh then started to get to work.
We ended up making our pancakes then sat and watched the movie. We watched movies until the early hours of the morning but by the second movie the rest of the girls were asleep. I couldn't possibly fall asleep so I just went upstairs so I could try and call Colby.
I set my phone up and facetimed him as I cuddled into bed. "Hey, baby girl." He answered as his face came up on the screen. "Hi." I said quietly as I rested my hand on my belly. "Can't sleep?" He asked as I shook my head.
"No. You?" I asked as he shook his head. "Not a chance." He said as I frowned. "Did they try to hurt you?" I asked quietly. "Yeah." He said as my heart broke. "Colby..." I whispered and chewed my lip. "It just happened so fast, V. One minute we were exploring, then the next minute I have a knife to my throat." He explained causing me to gasp.
"That's terrifying." I said and twisted my ring. "Yeah, all I could think about was you though..you and the baby." He said quietly. "We're okay here." I said with a reassuring smile. "I know, I just knew I needed to get back to you." He said as I nodded.
"I know how scary that must have been." I said with a frown. "I'm just glad it worked out." He said with a sigh. "I just wish you were here now." I admitted as he frowned. "I know. I don't think Sam and I will be traveling for a while. I've never seen Sam so shaken up." He said as I sighed.
"I bet. How much money did they steal?" I asked as he shrugged. "No idea, maybe a hundred bucks total." He said as I rolled my eyes. "Was it really fucking worth it?" I asked angrily as he sighed. "It must have been." He said as I shook my head. "It's not! Scarring two people for a hundred dollars?! That's fucked up!" I yelled as he frowned.
"Calm down, V. People do shitty things because they are shitty people. I would rather they took a hundred dollars than my life. Or Sam's life. Money is replaceable." He said as I shook my head.
"Your security and mental health isn't though. I don't want this to effect you because I know how hard it is to deal with." I whispered as tears formed in my eyes. "I'm okay, baby. Really. I'm a little shaken up but it's nothing I can't handle." He said then sighed.
"I think it will get even better when I'm home and with you." He said as I huffed out a breath. "I'll be here for you even though you're doing okay. I'll be with you through everything." I said as he nodded. "I know. Try to get some rest, baby girl. Sam and I will be back in LA before noon." He said as I nodded.
"Try to get some rest too, I know it'll be hard but you need some sleep." I said as he nodded. "I'll try. I love you so much." He said as I smiled slightly. "I love you so mucher." I said with a grin. "You're a dork." He said as I nodded. "Takes one to know one." I said and scrunched my nose.
"Goodnight, beautiful." He said then blew me a kiss. "Goodnight, love." I said then waved and hung up. I let out a sigh then leaned into the pillows, trying to get comfortable so I could fall asleep.
As I fell asleep I thought about how grateful I was and how proud of Colby I was for handling the situation with such courage.
I was just so glad he was okay.
