"We are getting too old to be having all nighters." I said as we slowly made our way inside. "We aren't even that old, V." Colby said as I chuckled. "Old enough. I'm exhausted." I said with a sigh.
"We have to get out of here before noon so if you want to take a little nap we can do that." Colby said as I nodded. "Nap time!" I yelled then took his hand and skipped towards the bedroom. "God, you're so cute." Colby said as I crawled into bed.
"The most adorable, now come here." I mumbled then patted the bed as he pulled his shirt off. "I'm coming." He said then crawled into bed. "We should set an alarm." I said as I snuggled into his embrace.
"Good idea. How long will you need to get ready?" Colby asked as he grabbed his phone. "Uh...maybe 20 minutes?" I said as he nodded and set the alarm. "Okay, I set it for 11:30." He said then set his phone down and wrapped his arms around me.
"Goodnight." I said then snuggled into him. "Goodnight, V." Colby said then kissed my head. I sighed with content then closed my eyes, melting into him.
I fell asleep almost instantly since I was exhausted from staying up all night. It felt like I was only asleep for a few minutes before Colby's alarm was going off.
"No. Fuck that." I grumbled and hid my face in Colby's chest. "We have to get up." Colby mumbled as I shook my head. "Noooooo." I groaned as he shifted so he could get out of bed. "You can sleep in the car." He said with a yawn.
"No, you'll fall asleep." I said then forced myself to get out of bed. "I promise I won't." He said as I shook my head. "Right, I'm still gonna stay awake to make sure." I said as he scrubbed his face with his hands.
"Makes sense." He said as I walked over to my bag so I could pack everything up. Once everything was packed I went into the bathroom so I could brush my teeth. When I got in there I realized how much of a mess I looked.
I had huge bags under my eyes and my skin was more pale than usual. "Ew." I mumbled to myself as I brushed my fingers through my hair. "Everything okay?" Colby asked as he trudged into the room.
"I just look like ass." I said as he laughed. "You look fine." He said as I shook my head. "Sweet, but very untrue." I said then started brushing my teeth.
Once we were both ready we brought our bags out to the car. "Thanks for taking me here." I said quietly as we went to get in the car. "You're welcome, love. Are you feeling a little more refreshed?" Colby asked as I nodded.
"I think so. It felt good to get away from our phones. I liked being left alone." I said with a laugh. "Yeah, no fucking assholes trying to apologize for beating you up." Colby said as he started the car.
"That's specific." I said as he started driving. "I'm just sick of him being obsessed with you. Only I'm allowed to be obsessed with you." He grumbled as I laughed. "And you are." I said then winked as he held his hand out to me.
"I mean can you blame me? Look at you." Colby said with a laugh as I rolled my eyes playfully. "Shut up, ya dork." I said then leaned my head on the window.
We spent the next couple hours driving home and trying to stay awake. Colby did a great job at driving safely and staying awake the entire time. I was grateful that he knew how nervous I was about driving in general but he was always so careful, even when he was extremely tired.
When we pulled into the driveway of our house I felt a wave of energy hit me because I was really excited to see the twins.
"I can't wait to see the girls." I squealed as we got out of the car. "I'm sure they can't wait to see you." Colby said as he grabbed our bags.
