I woke up the next morning feeling sore. I almost expected it because of how hard we went last night. I laid against Colby's chest, basking in the calmness that was surrounding us.

It felt good to be able to sleep in without having to worry about the girls but I couldn't help but feel a little sad that they weren't here. I loved getting to snuggle them in the morning and just getting to love on them every day.

I laid there for a while before Colby woke up, tightening his grip around me. "Good morning, love." I said and looked up at him. "Good morning, baby." He said with a gravely voice, causing a shiver to run down my spine.

I loved his morning voice.

"What are we doing today?" I asked with a smile as he kissed my forehead. "Hmm, I don't know. Were you thinking of doing anything in particular?" Colby asked as I shrugged. "Hmm...we could have sex again." I said as he chuckled.

"You think you can handle it?" He asked as I nodded and sat up. "Always." I said then grabbed his face and kissed him.

An hour later we were finally getting out of bed...well we were trying. "God damn it, I'm sore." I said as I stumbled into the dresser. "Told you that you wouldn't be able to walk." Colby teased as I laughed and flipped him off.

"Do you think the kitchen is stocked?" I asked as I pulled a crewneck over my head. "Probably not. We can go to the store or we can try to order something. "Hmmm...we went to the store yesterday so we can try to order something." I said then pulled my sweatpants on.

"Sounds like a plan. Maybe we can have a little picnic outside." Colby said as I smiled. "I'd love that." I said quietly then turned to go into the bathroom.

We both got ready for the day then went into the living room. "Ya know we actually can't order anything because we don't have internet or service." Colby said with a laugh as I sighed. "Well I guess I'm having fruit snacks for breakfast." I said then slowly walked towards the kitchen.

"Healthy." Colby said as I nodded. "It's fruit." I said then grabbed a pack and tossed it to him. "We can go to the store later." I said then popped a fruit snack in my mouth.

We sat around for a little while before we got ready to go to the store. "What did you want to make?" Colby asked as we got in the car. "Hmmmm...what are some picnic foods?" I asked as Colby shrugged.

"Honestly we can just do whatever." He said as we started driving. "Kraft Mac and cheese, eaten out of the pot." I said as he chuckled. "That actually sounds so good." Colby said as he held his hand out to me.

"Well then that's the plan." I said with a grin then took his hand.

We had to drive 15 minutes to get to the Walmart that we went to last night. When we got there we went inside and went straight to where the mac and cheese was. "Should we get shapes?" I asked with a laugh and pointed to the box of Spongebob shaped mac and cheese.

"Absolutely." Colby said then grabbed it. "What else should we get?" I asked then turned to look at the signs in the aisles. "Maybe we can make a salad, too." Colby suggested as I nodded. "Good plan. We need to get some veggies in us." I said then took his hand and started walking towards the produce section.

We grabbed all the stuff we needed to get to make a salad then grabbed a couple more things before making our way to the registers. We paid for our stuff then made our way back to the car.

"Have I mentioned how happy being here has made me." I said quietly as Colby drove. "I can tell." Colby said with a smiled as he caressed my hand with his thumb. "It reminds me of when we first met." I said as we got in the car.

"Yeah, the only thing we need to really bring us back is a haunted asylum." Colby said as I chuckled. "Right. I think I'd be alright with the airbnb we have." I said as he nodded.

"Have you thought about going to Ohio with us? We want to go to the Mansfield Reformatory." He said as I nodded. "I've thought about it. I've been thinking about what you said." I said and looked down in my lap.

"About what?" Colby asked as I sighed. "I guess I just don't know if I've actually seen my parents since they died. I think I see them in my dreams...but I'm starting to believe that when that happens, it's just a figment of my imagination." I said as he sighed.

"I know how hard this has been for you." Colby said quietly as I nodded. "It's been hard but I think I need to go to the scene of the accident. I think if I'm ever going to see them, then it will be there." I said and looked over at him.

"Do you think we saw them when we did the elevator game?" Colby asked as I sighed. "I have no idea at this point." I said then looked out the window again. "I want to think since we both saw them that it was really them but I had this dream.." I said as Colby caressed my hand with his thumb.

"It was them, but they told me that they weren't real. They just kept repeating it...telling me that they were dead. Gone forever." I said as he frowned. "I'm so sorry, V. I'm so sorry that you have to deal with this. I think it could be good for you to go with us, and I want you to, but I just don't want to reopen the wound that you've been working on keeping closed." He said as I breathed a laugh.

"It was never truly closed. I don't think it will ever be fully closed, but I think now that I've been working on my clairvoyance I might be able to see them." I said as we drove. "I think you'll be able to. Or at least you'll feel them." Colby said then brought my hand to his lips.

"I'm gonna come with. I don't know if I want to go to a reformatory though. That feels like it'll be too much for me." I said as he nodded. "You don't have to go if you don't want to. You're always welcome to join us though." He said as I grinned.

"We'll see." I said then looked at him with a small smile.

When we got back to the airbnb we went inside and started cooking the mac n cheese. "If you want to go set up the picnic, I can finish this." Colby said as I nodded. "I'm about to set up the best fucking picnic ever." I said then skipped towards the living room, grabbing the two bottles of wine we got last night and some glasses.

"Hmm." I hummed as I looked around for a blanket. I noticed there was a little closet off to the side so I went to look in there. When I opened it I saw a bunch of blankets folded up on the ground.

"Perfect." I said then grabbed the biggest one and looked up at the shelf that was in the closet. On the shelf was a bunch of painting supplies including canvases. "Fun!" I said then grabbed the supplies and went to go outside.

When I got outside I laid the blanket out out then opened the wine bottles. I set the glasses next to the bottles then set up the paint supplies. Once I was done with that I went back inside and grabbed a couple pillows so we could sit on them.

Colby came outside a few minutes later with a pot of mac and cheese, two forks, and the salad. "Well look at you." He said with a smile as I sat down on one of the pillows.

"I found painting stuff." I said with a smile as he set the food down. "I see that! You set up the cutest picnic ever." Colby said as he pulled his phone out. "Smile." He said then held his phone up so he could take a picture.

I smiled widely as he took my picture. "Beautiful." He said quietly then sat down next to me. "This looks so good." I said and gestured to the mac and cheese. "I know, it's such a gourmet meal." He said as I opened one of the bottles of wine.

We sat and enjoyed our lunch, which was absolutely delicious. When we were done we set up the stuff to start painting. I was so happy that this place didn't have any internet or service because it felt good to just unplug and spend time with Colby.

I couldn't help but miss the girls though. I knew that they were probably having the best time with Colby's parents but the separation anxiety was starting to get to me.

I just couldn't wait to cuddle them again.
