The next couple of days went by fast. I was resting as much as humanly possible. The bleeding had subsided completely which was good but I was more exhausted and in pain than I was before.
I think pregnancy symptoms were really hitting me because my hips hurt really bad, and my ankles were starting to swell.
Today was my doctors appointment, and I was bringing Ki along. I was a little sad that Colby wasn't going to be here but he was having fun in Vegas with his friends.
I knew he was really concerned about me since the bleeding though, but I assured him that Nova and I were okay.
I was just glad that Ki wanted to join me on this appointment because I was actually pretty nervous for it.
"Vi!?" Ki yelled as I stood in the nursery, finishing up the spot of the wall I was painting. "Up here!" I called out as she skipped up the stairs.
"What are you doing?" She asked as she walked into the room. "Just finishing up. What do you think?" I asked and gestured to the wall. "Looks good! Wow, this is so cute. And awww! Nova's name. Oh, I love her so much already." Ki said and put her hands on her cheeks.
"I do too. I'm so nervous but excited to meet her." I said with a sigh and started cleaning up.
"I can't wait to see her! Does she have fingers and toes yet? I'm gonna scream if I see a finger on that ultrasound." She said with a laugh.
"A good scream or a bad scream?" I asked as she giggled. "A good scream. Baby fingers and toes are so cute." She gushed as I nodded. "They are pretty cute." I said then walked out of the room, taking my mask off.
"You should have a baby so Nova can have a best friend." I said as she snorted. "No way in hell is that happening. Ask Kat." She said as I laughed. "Whatever. I'm gonna go get ready then we can go." I said then walked into the bedroom.
When I got to the bedroom I went into the closet and got dressed in one of my maternity dresses. I heard my phone buzzing across the room, causing me to groan and jog over to it.
"Hey." I breathed out as I walked over to the mirror. "Hey, babe. Are you on your way to the appointment?" Colby asked as I smoothed my dress over my bump.
"No, I'm about to leave. Why, are you antsy?" I asked with a laugh as I turned to put my shoes on. "Very. I've been worried about you." He said as I frowned. "Don't worry about me, baby. The bleeding stopped and I'm feeling okay. My hips hurt really bad and my legs are swollen but other than that I'm okay." I said with a small smile as I walked out to the bedroom.
"Okay, just please keep me updated." He said with a sigh as I breathed a laugh. "I hope you're having fun. I miss you." I said and grabbed my bag. "I miss you, too. We're having fun though. We're going to drive luxury cars right now which is exciting." He said as I walked down to the foyer where Ki was.
"Oooo drive a lambo for me." I said as he laughed. "Okay, babe. I gotta go now, but I love you." He said as I nodded. "I love you more. Be safe." I said then hung up. "Ready?" I asked as she held her finger up at me. "Hold on, I have to gag." She teased as I rolled my eyes.
"Let's go." I said then walked to the car. We got in the car then turned on some music. "I'm so excited to see the little bean. Do you think we'll see her kick?" Ki asked as I started driving us to the doctors office.
"Probably not, but it's possible." I said with a shrug. "I hope so." She said with a grin then turned the music up. When we got to the doctor's office we went inside and got checked in. I was glad that Ki was here with me but it was honestly weird not having Colby be here.
