"Shit!" I hissed as the water trickled down my legs. "No...no no no. You guys aren't ready!" I said and looked down as panic coursed through my veins.

I felt my hands shaking substantially as a contraction hit. It felt like a really bad period cramp, but it still hurt pretty bad.

"Fuck..okay, V. Call Colby. You can do this." I whispered to myself as I turned to get my phone.

Every move I made, caused more liquid to come out of me which freaked me out a little bit.

I was so scared because I knew that the girls were premature. I knew they were going to be small and that scared the shit out of me.

I shakily reached for my phone as another contraction hit. "Oh fuck." I mumbled as I set a timer.

They were probably seven to ten minutes apart, which meant we had some time before I had to go to the hospital.

I shakily dialed Colby's number then sat on the couch and rubbed my belly. I was trying so desperately to stay calm so I could keep the girls safe but I was terrified.

"Hey, everything okay?" Colby asked as I put my hand on my chest. "V?" He asked after a second.

"It broke, Colby. It broke." I said in a panic. "What are you talking about? What broke?" He asked slowly.

"Colby..my...my water broke." I said and looked down at my belly. There was a long moment of silence as my heart raced. "Colby, please answer." I whimpered as tears formed in my eyes.

"What did you say?" Colby asked slowly. "My water broke. Please come home...I'm so scared, Colby." I cried out, feeling the panic boil over.

"Okay, baby. Just stay calm. I'm coming to you, just try to breathe. You're okay." Colby said as I nodded. "Plea- Owwww." I groaned as another contraction rippled through me.

"Breathe, baby. You're doing good. I'm leaving now. I'll be there soon. Just try to stay calm." Colby said frantically as I groaned from the pain.

"Drive safe. Please. I have to call Amy, just get here fast, please." I begged then hung up the phone so I could call Amy.

I let out a deep breath then dialed her number as I struggled to stand up. I needed to shower and finish packing a hospital bag so we could leave right when Colby got here. Otherwise I was going to have these babies on my bathroom floor.

"Hello, Dr. Ross." Amy said as I let out a breath. "Amy, it's Violet. My water just broke." I whispered shakily. "Okay, take a deep breath. Are you timing your contractions?" She asked as I slowly made my up the stairs.

"Yeah. They're...7 minutes apart." I said as another one rippled through me. "Okay, try to get here as soon as possible. I know it's scary but I'll be with you every step of the way." Amy said as I shook my head. "They're early...." I whispered as I got to the bathroom.

"We're gonna take care of them, just try to stay calm and get here as soon as you can." She explained as I nodded. "Okay..Colby isn't home. He's coming, then we're gonna leave." I said and turned the shower on.

"Okay, I'll see you when you get here." She said then hung up. "Stay in there girls...please stay in there." I begged then started to get undressed. When I got in the shower I let the warm water relax me.

I didn't like that I was so stressed when I should have been excited. I think it was because Colby wasn't here and because the girls were premature.

I knew stressing out would just make the situation worse though so I was trying to stay moderately calm.

Once I was done showering I went to put on some comfortable clothes. I was grateful that my contractions weren't too bad because I wouldn't be able to get anything done if they were.
