When I woke up in the morning I felt more refreshed than I usually would feel. I noticed that both Sam and Colby weren't in the room anymore which led me to believe they were going to get breakfast or something.
I scrubbed my face with my hands then leaned over and grabbed my phone. I was expecting to see a message from Colby but instead there was only one text displayed on the screen.
Jarrod: Hope I can see you today!
I sighed then sent Colby a text, asking him where he was before I responded to Jarrod.
Violet: I think we are going to visit Chad at his restaurant so I'll see you if you're there.
I sighed then tossed my phone to side then got up and went to my suitcase. I grabbed the outfit I wanted to wear today then went into the bathroom. I quickly took a shower and got myself ready for the day.
I could hear people talking in the main part of the bedroom, which either meant Sam and Colby were back or there were a bunch of ghosts just hanging out in our room.
I finished getting ready then made my way out to the room. "Hi girls!" I gasped out as Colby turned to me with the girls in his arms. "Surprise, you slept so long that we were able to get the girls." He said as I smiled and pulled Luna into my arms.
"Hi, honey." I said and kissed her head as I rocked her back and forth. "What are we? Chopped liver?" Ki asked as I chuckled and turned to her and Kat.
"Hi guys, how was your night?" I asked and rocked Luna. "It was good. Your kids sleep like ass sometimes though." Ki said as I nodded. "Yeah, I don't think they like the change in scenery all that much." I said as Sam came into the room holding bags of food from McDonald's.
"You guys got food too? What fucking time is it?" I asked then looked at Colby. "Like...12:30." He said as I pursed my lips. "Shit, I'm sorry." I said as Sam started handing out the food. "Did the girls eat?" I asked and looked at Ki. "Not since this morning. We ran out of titty milk." Kat said as I nodded.
"Okay, I'm gonna feed them. Would you guys be down to visit an old friend with me?" I asked and sat on the bed, grabbing a blanket so I could cover myself up. Colby laid Nova in my other arm as I got Luna situated.
"Yeah, restaurant dude or creepy dude?" Ki asked as I breathed a laugh and started feeding the girls. "Restaurant dude, and Jarrod isn't creepy. He's just...." I said, trailing off. "A douche." Colby finished as I chuckled.
"He's just confused." I said as Sam shook his head. "What did he do?" He asked as Colby rolled his eyes. "He's the asshole who kissed Violet while she was drunk when we first started dating." Colby explained as I focused on feeding the girls.
"He's a nice guy, it was my fault that he kissed me." I said as Kat shook her head. "No. He shouldn't have done it." She said as I shrugged. "It's in the past." I said then looked down.
I think they got the hint that I didn't want to talk about it anymore, since they changed the subject. I finished feeding the girls then handed Luna off to Colby so I could burp Nova.
We ended up sitting and eating our breakfast before we made our way back to the RV so we could go to Fort Collins.
"I'm sorry if I upset you." Colby said as we got the girls situated in their carseats. "What?" I asked and looked at him with confusion. "Talking about Jarrod and him being a dick." He said as I shook my head.
"I'm not upset." I said and gave him a reassuring smile then turned to put a pacifier in Nova's mouth. I then turned and sat down across from the girls. When Colby sat down next to me I grabbed his hand, showing him that I wasn't upset.
