Chapter 16 - A small 'Thank You'

Hiroki woke up after three hours. It was dark outside.

"You awake?"

Hiroki looked at the voice's direction in daze.

"You still seem sleepy."

Hiroki sat straight and asked that person in hoarse voice," Why are you still here? " 

The person replied," Mr.Kirihitho asked me to. "

"You don't need to do this , Shin. This isn't your job to do."

"..."

Hiroki continued," Anyways, now I am awake. You can take your leave."

"Sir will get mad at me. I will bring something for you to eat."

"Bu-"

Shin left before Hiroki would further argue. He sighed and leaned back on his bed. After sometime , Shin came back and arranged the dishes in front of Hiroki. 

Hiroki looked at the dishes and said," I can't eat that much."

Shin replied back plainly," I didn't ask whether you can finish it or not. You have to eat everything."

Hiroki looked at Shin with tired eyes. He didn't have any strength in him to argue with her anymore. He just sighed and started eating.

Not a single word was spoken during this time. Hiroki was too tired and Shin didn't know what to say.

After a long time Shin finally broke the silence," Why aren't you taking any actions against my sirs? "

Hiroki looked at her in surprise and then said," I don't want anymore trouble."

"That can't be the reason. You are a lawyer. You definitely won't think like this. It.......it is because of Hikaru sir , right?"

"..."

"You really are naive , aren't you?"

"Hikaru cares for both of them a lot. I don't want to hurt him."

Shin was irritated by hearing this. She decided to ask this question to Hiroki just out of curiosity. She really thought this person will sue her bosses for some money no matter how uninterested he looked in all of this. But her guess was wrong. Or this person is trying to act all goody goody to get on better side of his bosses. After all they both hated him to core.

She said angrily," Huh! Do you really think I believe in your bull crap! You can act all good in front of my sirs and get on their good side but you can't fool me . I have seen many people like you. Remember this, you can never replace Hikaru-sama (Lord) no matter what you do!"

Shin was president of Hikaru's fanclub in their office.

Hiroki was shocked after listening to Shin. He said," What are you talking about? I never wanted or want to replace Hikaru. And I never tried to get on good side of your sirs. You know this very well that they were the ones who asked me come at their office today. Not me. "

Hiroki was right. It was her bosses who told him to come . Then also she was not ready to give up.

"Even if today they told you to come but what about the times before that, huh? You always came in office to talk to them or ask them about something! You even went on lunch with both of them! You must have definitely manipulated them during these times!"

Hiroki was dumbfounded. " You think your bosses are so easy to be manipulated? "

Shin showed a big smile and said," So , you indeed tried to manipulate them. You bi-"

"Enough!"

Someone said.

"Dr.Lee." , Hiroki said lightly.

"Miss, please take your leave. You are disturbing the patient."

"Wh-"

"I said leave. Do you want me to call guards to escort you out?

Shin glared at him. She cleared up the utensils in front of Hiroki and left with an angry huff.

Hiroki really found her amusing.

Lee asked," How are you feeling?"

"I guess I still have fever but my headache is gone. "

Lee looked at Hiroki with complicated expression. He wanted to say something to Hiroki but didn't know how to do it.

"What's wrong?"

Lee let out a sigh and said with guilt," There was a heart donor............ Your heart didn't match. I am sorry."

Hiroki smiled and said gently," What are you sorry about? This isn't your fault. Maybe, I really have an unique heart. I guess this is the third one , right?"

Hiroki was laughing a bit. He really found this situation to be funny. He had no idea why.

Dr.Lee was mad.

"You find this funny?! I really want to hit you !"

Hiroki finally started laughing after holding it for a while.

Lee was somewhat glad that Hiroki took the situation lightly. But not before thinking of providing him with a psychiatrist.

Lee said," Take some rest. And stop laughing. This is not funny."

"Okay okay. Sorry."

Lee did a regular check-up on Hiroki. Scolded him a bit. He didn't find anything serious during the check-up. But Lee knew this was a calm before big disaster. He was extremely worried about Hiroki.

Lee said lightly," Can't you find someone to live with you ? Your condition is not to take lightly. I just don't want you to faint like yesterday and be brought by some stranger in ER. You can't be lucky all the time."

Hiroki stared outside the window and said," Don't worry. I will find someone to stay with me."

Lee smiled a bit and started leaving .

When he reached door he heard Hiroki say," Thank you for caring for me so much."

Lee hold the door knob for a while . Tremendous guilt was building in his heart. He hurriedly left the room and went back in his cabin.

The truth was, the donor's  heart matched with Hiroki's but he decided to give it to some rich guy for money and let them jump the line. But after hearing Hiroki's 'thank you' , he just couldn't control his feelings.

What he did today was terribly wrong.........
