Chapter 100- She isn't Gonna Stop

Mikasa looked at Hiroki in utter shock. She had rough idea about what happened at that time but she had no idea it was that terrible.

Hiroki continued," After losing all of my part time jobs, I didn't have any other option but to take loan from loan sharks because my parents made sure that I would not be able to take any education loan..........It was terrible back then. I don't want to think about it further."

Mikasa said angrily," You never confronted them?!"

"No....we all pretend that everything is okay infront of my siblings."

"This is unacceptable! You can't do this to yourself! You should confront your parents!"

Hiroki chuckled," Why should I? Look, Mikasa, I don't want to waste my energy by fighting with them. There are so many things I want to confront my parents for. If i decide to talk about every horrible thing they did to me in the past, whatever relationship we have right now will be completely destroyed........And honestly, I don't want it. I want my parents to be part of my life. I hate to admit it but I like that my family is caring for me. I don't care if it's out of guilt or love. I am just glad that they are here......for me."

Mikasa looked at him in pity," But Hiroki, are you truly happy? Are you able to forget all those things so easily? I don't know what a family means but whatever they did to you, a family would never do that."

Hiroki chuckled dryly," I know. But I want to deny reality as long as possible. I don't even have much time remaining anyway. Maybe as long as I am alive I want to believe that my family cares."

Mikasa frowned," Don't say such things! Nothing is going to happen to you!"

Sou looked at him with tears in her eyes," Are you going to leave me?"

Hiroki hugged her tightly and said," I really don't want to."

"Mikasa?!"

Mikasa looked startled when she saw Shin there. She immediately got up and stared at her in shock. Shin looked at Sou who was sitting on Hiroki's lap. They both looked awfully similar. Shin's eyes widen with realisation and she looked at Mikasa in disbelief.
Shin growled," Mikasa, would you like to explain what the hell is happening? Whose daughter is she?"

Mikasa started cold sweating," That's- that's....."

Shin shouted," That's what?!"

Hiroki interrupted," Hey, there is a child here." He looked at Sou who was looking at Shin terrified and consoled her," Hey, baby. Why don't you go play over there? Mommy needs to talk with aunty."

Sou shook her head as if sensing her mom was in danger.

Hiroki continued," Look, I am here with Mommy. So, don't worry. You trust me, right?"

Sou looked at him with innocent eyes and nodded. She got off his lap and ran towards a far corner where she could not hear anything.

Shin continued," Is she your daughter, Mikasa?"

Mikasa sighed and nodded.

"Is she.....is she mine?"

Mikasa glared at Shin but replied," Yeah. She is."

Shin looked at her in shock and disbelief," How could not say anything??!! SHE IS MY CHILD AND YOU DIDN'T TELL ME?!!"

Hiroki looked at duo in utter confusion. What hell was going on between them?

Mikasa walked near Shin and said," Don't you dare shout at me! You were the one who left me! It was you!! All. F**king. You."

Shin laughed sarcastically," It was me?! F**k, you didn't even tell me I have a child and it's my fault?! How? HOW?!"

Mikasa shouted," Do you think I didn't want my child to have a father?! Do you?"

Shin shook her head," I listened enough! Let's take this to court. I will take her full custody. Just wait and watch."
She left in anger not before passing Hiroki a glare.

Mikasa sighed in frustration and looked at Sou with teary eyes.

Hiroki who was standing besides, awkwardly, asked," Mikasa, what the hell was that? You seriously hid Sou from her father?"

Mikasa shouted at him," I didn't hide her!! I-I didn't mean to. Hiroki, what am I gonna do? I-I don't want to lose my daughter. Please, help me."

Hiroki frowned," Hey, I will always help you. But.....let me give you a reality check. If you have really hidden the fact that Sou is Shin's daughter then it will be worst. Mikasa, you are a lawyer. You know how nasty this situation can get. And given your past........it's going to be difficult."

Mikasa sobbed," I-I know. Oh, god. What am I gonna do?"

Hiroki hugged her slightly," You should try to stop her from going to court. And if she still decides to go" He made her look him in the eyes and said confidently," Then also we will do our best. Do you hear me? Noone is going to take your child away from you."

Mikasa sniffled," You promise?"

Hiroki smiled," I promise."

The next day in Hiroki's office, Tatsuya visited him and immediately asked," What the hell, Hiroki? How can Mikasa do that?"

Hiroki got defensive," Hey, don't judge her! You don't know her situation."

Tatsuya frowned," What are you saying? What situation stopped Mikasa from letting Shin know about her own child?"

"..."

"See, even you don't know what to say. I am telling you. Shin is furious. She is looking for best lawyers in the country. She is going to do whatever it takes to get that child's full custody."

Hiroki sighed," I know. I saw her face yesterday and I was terrified......Mikasa did f**ked up but she doesn't deserve her daughter to be taken away from her. I have got to do something."

Tatsuya played with paper weight and replied nonchalantly," I don't think Shin is going to stop just at shared custody."

Hiroki said angrily," Can you stop being so nonchalant?!"

"Hey! Don't get mad at me!"

Hiroki sighed," I am sorry. It's just I am in under lot of pressure. Let it be. Where is Mr.Kirihitho? I haven't seen him since morning."

Tatsuya got tense," That......We broke up with Hikaru. He isn't-"

Hiroki stared at him with wide eyes," WHAT?! Why?! How?!"
