Chapter 110- Why should I Care?

Hiroki twisted and turned in his bed, groaning in pain. His head was hurting as if tonnes of weight had been put on it. He thought to himself,' When the f**k did he take over? I didn't even realise! God! It hurts!!'

Aunt Min asked with concern," You okay, Hiro?"

Hiroki smiled slightly but didn't move from bed. He gasped out," When did you come?"

Aunt Min sighed," I am here since last one hour."

Hiroki groaned again," Really? I didn't notice.........What's the time?"

"7am. If you want, take a day off today."

He sat up with eyes still closed," No. I need to go." He looked at Min with scrunched eyes and whined," Aunt Min~ help me."

Min laughed slightly," Get ready and I will make you hangover soup."

In the kitchen, Mia came looking for Hiroki as he was not in his room. She gave a look to Hiroki who was pressing heat pad on one side of his head and a cool pad on other side. He was still groaning in pain. She looked at Aunt Min who just shrugged her shoulders in response.

Mia cleared her throat startling Hiroki. He frowned and asked," What is it?"

"You okay?"

"Nope. Definately not okay."

Min put down the hangover soup infront of him and commanded," Drink it. Completely!"

Hiroki nodded his head weakly. As soon as he tasted the soup, a string of satisfaction ran through his mind. He complimented her," Wah!! This is amazing. Thanks, Aunt Min."

But his satisfaction was instantly destroyed by Ian's crying.
A tired Kai entered in kitchen and glared at particularly nothing. Clearly, he didn't sleep last night. In one hand, he held a crying Ian and in other hand, a sad Ai. The moment he saw Hiroki looking at him weirdly, he marched towards him and handed him Ian. He settled Ai in her chair and said grimly," You are responsible for this! Take care of them!"

Hiroki looked at him, shocked," What do you mean by that?!"
Kai left without even answering his question.

Aunt Min and Mia, both, tried to take Ian from Hiroki but the little baby held on to his uncle so tightly that he wouldn't even budge. He cried non stop.

Min said with urgency," Ms.Mia, can you please see where his nanny is and call her here!"

Hiroki stopped them," No, it's fine."

Mia," But sir-"

He looked at her and assured her," It's okay. I can take care of him until I will go to work."

He sighed and looked at Ian whose face was covered in tears. Now, his first priority was making Ian stop crying. He checked if the baby needed diaper change or if he had an upset stomach. Yep, Ian definately needed a diaper change and he was also hungry. He asked Mia to bring him diapers and Aunt Min to make formula while he patted Ian slightly on his back to calm him down and looked at Ai with concern.

She was not herself that day or else she would have already started grumbling about Ian crying.........after all, she was Kai's daughter. She seemed very sad for some reason. And where the hell was Itsuki? Yeah, it was his first day back at the college but he would not just left his kids with Kai.

He pushed his thoughts behind and changed Ian's diaper as soon as Mia brought it(obviously not in kitchen because that's not hygienic). Soon, he started feeding him and Ian finally calmed down. Hiroki smiled at his nephew slightly and looked at Ai again.

Mia was staring at Ian who was completely engrossed in drinking milk and asked curiously," How are you so good at taking care of babies?"

Aunt Min nodded," Yeah. It was honestly surprising."

Hiroki replied while still looking at Ai," I took care Sou when she was a baby. That's why, I know about baby stuffs decently."

Aunt Min looked confused at who the hell was Sou but didn't ask as it was not her place.

Mia exclaimed," Oh! He is done!"

Hiroki put the bottle aside and took Ian on his shoulder to make him burp. Now, he looked like a well fed baby. So cute!

Hiroki," Ai, what do you want to eat for breakfast? Today is your first day at kindergarten, right? Aren't you excited?"

Ai didn't say anything and kept staring at particularly nothing.

Aunt Min and Mia exchanged a look but didn't say anything.

Hiroki sighed," Aunt Min, can you cut some fruits for her? And make her a jelly-jam sandwich for her lunch box and some chocolates."

Aunt Min nodded and started preparing things Hiroki told her to do.

Hiroki sat more close to her and said calmly," Baby, what's wrong? Are you mad? Do you not wanna go to kindergarten? Tell me."

Ai looked at him with tear filled eyes and said," Mommy.........Mommy and daddy fought yestalday. Mommy*sob**sob* didn't come back aftel that. Whele dil he go?"

Hiroki looked at her with shock," Are you sure, baby? Mommy must have just gone to work or something."

Ai shook her head," No. He diln't come back since yestelday."

Hiroki knew something was wrong but didn't want to say anything to a four year old kid. So, he lied," Of course not, baby. Mommy just went out to do some work. Your Mommy and daddy" He looked at Mia and continued," they have no reason to fight, right?"

Mia avoided his gaze causing Hiroki to sigh.
He smiled brightly at Ai and said," Come on, now. Don't you wanna make new friends today?"

Ai rubbed her eyes of any stray tears and nodded.

Aunt Min put down a bowl of fruits infront of Ai who immediately scrunched her face in disgust and said," I don't like this."

Hiroki got up while still patting Ian and said sternly," I don't care about that. You have to finish what is given to you."

Ai whined," Nooo~ I want chocolate, nol this!"

Hiroki ignored her and continued what he was doing. Ai whined for a bit but eventually gave up when she realised her uncle wasn't listening to her. She quietly finished eating her fruits and eventually went back in her room to get ready.

Hiroki gave sleeping Ian to babysitter and he went looking for Kai.

Kai was in his room, typing furiously on his laptop when Hiroki knocked on his door. Kai was already mad and even the slightest noise annoyed the hell out of him. He snapped," What the hell do you want?!"

Hiroki," Are you not coming?"

"Where?!"

"It's Ai's first day at her school. You have to come."

Kai rolled his eyes," It's not like she is going to remember this day. She is four. Now, go away. Don't disturb me."

Hiroki said angrily," It doesn't matter if she remembers it or not but as a father you should be there. Don't behave like a b*thchy teenager."

Kai also said angrily," I don't f**king care. I have much more important things to do than attending some kindergartener's first day!"

Hiroki sighed in defeat," I hope you won't regret this."

Kai snarled," I am not regretting anything. Even her mother is not going so why the hell should I bother?"

Hiroki frowned," Itsuki is not going?"

"No, he isn't. He.........I don't what the f**k his is doing! Who just gets up and leaves after a small fight! And on top of that, it was his fault to being with!"

"Did you fight........ because of me?"

Kai looked at Hiroki with complicated expressions and said honestly," No. It wasn't your fault."

Hiroki didn't believe him but nodded in response. He looked at the time and frowned," I need to leave." He looked at his brother and asked for last time," Are you sure you don't want to come?"

Kai nodded his head tiredly," I am 100% sure."
