And  just like that, four years passed.

Hiroki's and his parents relationship was really strained. It was painful to watch them growing more and more apart, especially for Hanah. She tried to do everything possible for them to be close, like sending the trio on lunch/dinner or sending them to small trips. But nothing worked. It was as if Mirai wanted nothing to work. She would always point faults and mistakes in Hiroki, shouted and scolded him and in the end spoiling entire mood and then also she blamed it on Hiroki. Every single thing was Hiroki's fault. From a breaking of vase to someone getting hurt. It was all Hiroki's doing.

After some time, Hanah stopped sending Hiroki anywhere. Not to any parties, not any trips and not any family dinners. She isolated him for some time so that it won't worsen Hiroki's mental health. It was painful for her to watch Hiroki smiling and laughing less and less as days passed by.

Hiroki also started getting more involved in books and less involved in games. He rarely played with his siblings and spent most of his time in school library, not even in the mansion's library. Even though he was young, it was clear to him that his mother and father weren't fond of him. It didn't matter to them if he was hurt or not. It was as if he meant nothing to them. He thought of them as selfish and hypocritical. But he never voiced it out. Everything just kept getting bottling up in him and finally the day of his breakdown arrived.

Everyone was sitting outside near the lake enjoying the warm day. Surprisingly, everything was calm on that day. No shouting, no fighting, no scolding. It was very peaceful. But this peace was soon disrupted by Hikaru's another tantrum.

He shouted at Hiroki," AAAAHHHHH!! I WANT THAT PLANE!!!"

Hiroki was firm on his ground," No. This is my gift. First, I will play with it and then you will."

Hikaru glared at him," NO!NO!NO! I WANT IT! I WILL PLAY WITH IT FIRST!!!"

Hiroki," No is a no."

Hikaru got so mad at this point that he tried to yank it out of Hiroki's grasp. Hiroki gripped it more tightly as Hikaru started using more force. Hiroki saw his opportunity and let go of the plane causing Hikaru to fall in the lake. Hikaru didn't know how to swim, so he started drowning. On the other hand, Hiroki knew how to swim but didn't lift any of  his finger to help his younger brother. All the hatred from past few years was clear on his face. On that day, Hiroki really wanted from bottom of his heart for Hikaru to die.

Mirai and Hakuto saw the commotion and immediately ran towards the lake to help Hikaru. Hakuto jumped in the lake and fished out Hikaru who wasn't breathing at that point.
Back on the land, Hakuto started performing CPR and mouth-to-mouth while rest of them were panicking. Hiroki realised what he did but didn't regret it at all.

Mirai was crying mess when Hikaru finally threw up water and started breathing. She picked him up and kissed him all over the face and thanked God. Her attention finally went to Hiroki who was looking blankly at them.

She walked near him and asked," You did this on purpose, didn't you?"

Hanah said in disbelief," How can you say that?! Are you out-"

Hiroki," Yes and I don't regret it."

All of them looked at Hiroki with wide eyes. Mirai said with disgust," So you don't regret almost killing your brother?"

Hakuto tried to stop them both from going any further," Mirai, enough. Hikaru is fine."

She ignored him and continued," It would have been better if you would have never come back."

Hanah and Hakuto both shouted at her in disbelief," Mirai!"

Mikarin said with trembling voice," Mom, what are you saying?"

Kai," Mom, it isn't his fault only. Hikaru is also at the fault."

Itonome," Exactly! You can't just blame Hiroki for this."

Mirai scoffed," Wow. Now I am the bad guy here, ain't I? Look Hiroki, everyone is putting up with your attitude."

Hakuto grabbed Mirai's arm and whisper shouted so none of his children would hear," Mirai, enough. They are just kids. Such things happen."

Mirai," Him killing my son happens? What are you saying?"

"Hiroki is also your son."

"I never wanted such son."

Before Hakuto could reply, Hiroki said," Even I never wanted you as my parents."

*SLAP*

Mirai slapped Hiroki hard across his face and shouted," HOW CAN YOU SAY THAT?! WE DID SO MANY THINGS FOR YOU AND THIS IS HOW YOU BEHAVE WITH US!!"

Hiroki held his slapped cheek, looked at his parents and left. Mirai and Hakuto were stunned by that look. Even though his face was blank, pure hatred was written in his eyes. None of them ever saw Hiroki like that. They tried to run after Hiroki but were stopped by Hanah.

She said as calmly as possible," Enough you two. You have already done enough. Go and take care of your precious son and don't even try to get near Hiroki for a while."

She followed Hiroki back in the mansion, while everyone looked at her back.

Hiroki was in his room, colouring something. His eyes were filled with tears which were threatening to fall down. Hanah looked at her grandson's pitiful sight and couldn't help tearing up. She slowly approached him and sat opposite to him. She started a light conversation," Hey, that's a beautiful drawing."

Hiroki whispered," Why?"

"Hm?"

The tears finally fell from his eyes," Why did you bring me back?*sob* I hate it here grandma!*sob* I want to go home.*sob* Please take me home."

Mirai held his face with both hands and made him look at her," This is your home, Hiroki."

He wailed," This isn't my home. Nothing here feels like home. Everyone hates me here! I have no friends! Everyone bullies me! Mom and dad hates me! Even you hate me! I want to go back! Take me back! Please! I want to go home!"

He started crying loudly. Hanah hugged him tightly and let him cry as much as he wanted. They were all the build up emotions in him of past four years. Everything just came pouring out on that day.
