Chapter 61- You are No Saint

Hiroki hastily went in the bathroom and started splashing cold water on his face. He did so for very long time. He was trembling with fear, disgust and hatred towards himself. He cursed himself with every splash. Slowly, his face and lips were turning pale due to coldness of water. After that, he even srubbed his neck until it started bleeding which made him finally stop. He looked at his reflection in the mirror and couldn't help hating himself more and more. He slumped back on the ground and started crying.

Someone knocked on the bathroom door. It was Hakuto. He asked gently," Hiroki, are you okay?"

There was no response.

Hakuto sighed but continued," Hiroki, come out. We can talk. I will tell Mikarin to apologise. Don't lock yourself like this."

There was still no response.

"Hey, come on now. Today is your first day at office. Don't spoil your mood. Come on out. You have to get ready."

Hiroki finally opened the door but didn't look at Hakuto and directly walked towards his walk in closet. Hakuto followed him closely. He tried his best to cheer Hiroki's mood but to no avail. Hiroki wasn't even looking at him, talking was far away. He finally gave up by saying all the best and left.

Hiroki soon got ready and left the mansion. Mia was waiting for him outside. She smiled at him but the next sentence immediately replaced that smile with a frown.

Hiroki said softly," I am going by bus."

Mia frowned," What are you saying? You shouldn't go by bus. And that also so far. I will drop you. Please don't be like this."

He wasn't convinced and was firm on his decision. Mia didn't know what to do. Until she called Hakuto to tell about the situation, Hiroki already left. He took the bus and sat at the farthest corner. It was completely empty due to the mansion being present in a high class area where not many people took bus. But as it entered the city, it started filling up. Finally, it was filled to it's maximum capacity causing Hiroki to feel suffocated but it was bearable. 

He sat there, leaning on the window for a long time. He was so lost in his thoughts that he didn't notice others who were either taking his picture or talking about him. Finally his stop arrived and he got down with most of the people, making the bus almost empty. Just as he was going to enter in the building, Mia grabbed his hand and dragged him towards the parking lot where not many people were present.

By the looks of her, she was really angry. She said with anger laced in her voice," Sir, what are you doing? What if something bad would have happened? Don't be like this because of someone's mistake. You should forget such thing and move on. What's the use of holding it in?"

Hiroki looked at her with disgust and said," Mistake? Forget about such thing? It's really easy for you to say so, right? But it's not easy for me to forget."

Mia was still angry," So you are going to hold it? Sir, I am sorry to say this but you are also not a saint. You have also committed such acts. Wh-"

Hiroki was confused," What? What nonsense are you talking about? What acts?"

Mia was going to continue but their conversation was interrupted by Ravi.

Ravi said cheerfully," Head, what are you doing here? Let's go!"

Ravi dragged him away from Mia while he was still thinking about what she said. They both reached legal office with Sheila and Anna already present there.

Ravi said with enthusiasm," Hey, girls! What's up?"

Anna gave him a high-five and said with same enthusiasm," Ceiling!"

Ravi made a face at her dumb joke and went to give high-five to Sheila who completely ignored his presence and walked straight to Hiroki. She gave him a file and said with business voice," Head, this is the contract for AD company. They are going to come today by 3pm to sign this. Have a look and tell me if there are any changes required."

Hiroki nodded in response.

Ravi said," Oh, come on Sheila! It's his first day! At least try being humble!"

She gave him a side eye and said," It doesn't matter if it's his first day or last. He has to do his job properly. And you also get back on your seat and complete the contract of Naari Enterprises. It is important for our company. Also, Anna go today to court and see what is happening with that land dealing. And if they are still not ready, file the complaint on the spot. Get it?"

Anna saluted," On it!" And she left immediately.

Hiroki was impressed by Sheila. He smiled and said," Sheila, can I talk to you? If you have time."

Sheila looked at him coldly and said," If it is about work, I will come in ten minutes in your office."

Hiroki nodded and left.

Ravi walked towards Sheila and said," Something happened to him today. I was in the parking lot and saw him arguing with someone. He wasn't in very pleasant mood so be careful when you go into his office. If anything happens, shout and I will come immediately."

Sheila nodded.

Hiroki was sitting on his table and was going through the contract when Sheila knocked on his cabin door and came in.

He didn't look at her but said," Sit down. Just give me five minutes."

Sheila sat in front of him with caution. She looked at him for some time and couldn't help thinking that he was gorgeous. Hiroki put his file aside and said seriously," I saw just now that they both listen to you."

Sheila," That's because I am their senior."

Hiroki shook his head," That's not the only reason. They also respect you. A lot. And to be honest, I was impressed by you. That's why I want your help to understand how you three work and how everything works here. It will require me some time to adjust but I will definitely try my best to cope up with you three as soon as possible."

Sheila nodded," Okay. You can ask me anything."

Hiroki and Sheila then started talking about all the projects that were currently in their hands. He asked her to sort them out from most important to least important and give him that list by tomorrow. Their meeting soon came to an end.
