Chapter 3- On bright Side

Mirai squealed," Myyy babyyyyyyy!!!!" She hugged Mito tightly and kept on kissing her," I am so proud of you!! You were damn awesome back there!"

Mito scrunched her eyebrows and tried to push Mirai away," Mom! Stop it! You are embarrassing me!"

Mirai hugged her more tightly in response and said," What? Now I can't even hug my baby girl?"

Mito whined," Come on mom~"

Mirai kissed her cheek for last time and broke the hug," Fine, fine. Too bad, my baby is not a baby anymore."

"Obviously! I am 15 turning 16 soon!"

Hakuto said," But seriously! You were really amazing! We are so proud of you! Tell me, what do you want? I will get you anything and everything!"

Mito's eyes shone and she asked," Seriously?!"

Kai smirked from besides," Of course! Dad will definitely not back up from his promise."

Mito said with excitement,"  Then, host the year end party!"

Mirai and Hakuto looked at each other but couldn't decide whether to say yes or no.

Hiroki, who was standing in the corner with Tatsuya, asked in confusion," What is year end party?"

Tatsuya," Right! You don't know what it is."

Hiroki said in duh tone," That's why I asked."

"Basically, the year end party is organised by one of the elite families in our circle. It is some sort of big honor to organise it. Whichever family organises it gets a lot of respect or something, I don't know. Last year, my family organised it."

Hiroki frowned," So basically, it is some rich people thing."

"Yeah."

"Means it's useless.", Hiroki said in dull voice.

"Yea-wait, what?!"

Hiroki shrugged his shoulders," It's useless. There is no point in it."

Tatsuya thought for a while but couldn't find how to counter Hiroki. So, he kept his mouth shut.

Hakuto said," Well, I have no problem in organising it but....... it's a lot of work, baby."

Mito whined," But you promised, dad! Every family in my friend circle has organised it atleast once. Inoue's has organised it three times!! And we can't even do it once?!! Do you know how embarassing it is for me whenever they talk about this?!"

Hakuto sighed in defeat," Fine! This year, we will do it!"

Mito hugged her father tightly and asked," Really?!!"

Hakuto hugged her back and said," Yes, my baby! Really!"

Hiroki sighed in disappointment and started walking towards his car. Tatsuya followed him like a lost puppy and asked," What was that?"

Hiroki asked in confusion," What?"

"That sigh of disappointment?"

Hiroki laughed lightly and said," I just realised, my siblings aren't some normal kids or atleast how I used to be. You know, if it would have been me, I would have asked for a new car or something. This brat, she asked for some nonsense party just so she would not feel left out!"

Tatsuya asked in confusion," Then, what did you ask from your parents when you won?"

Hiroki stopped dead in his tracks and thought for a while," Well…………they never asked me what I wanted. Actually, they didn't even know I won for three days. They knew only after siso, I mean, Ms.Mikarin reached home and told them."

Tatsuya was shook," That means, you got nothing?! For winning nationals?!"

Hiroki shook his head and started walking," No, I got a congratulations from them. That was more than enough."

"What!!"

Hiroki waved his hands when he spotted Mia who came rushing towards them. She took whatever Hiroki was holding and went ahead to wait for him in the car.
He looked at Tatsuya and smiled," By now, you already know what sort of relationship I have with my parents. It's not such a shocking thing or something."

Tatsuya frowned," But.......it's just…………sad."

Hiroki laughed," My life is a sea of sadness and depression. And it's not like this is the worst thing that has happened. I am just glad that I turned out much better than how I expected myself to be because of all my trauma."

"Do you love who you are right now?"

Hiroki shook his head and opened his car door," Of course not! I hate who I am right now. But, I could have been worse. So, on bright side, I hate myself a tad bit less."
He looked at Tatsuya and said honestly," But, not everyone is like me, Mr.Inoue. They break apart worse than me and it becomes impossible to attach them back together. Stop it before it gets worse than it already is."

After Hiroki left, Tatsuya was left alone in the parking lot with his thoughts,' It becomes impossible.'

Out of nowhere, Mikarin came and stood besides him quietly. She looked at her tense best friend and was amused, to say the least. She smiled to herself seeing Tatsuya's wrinkled forehead and couldn't help admiring how handsome he was. If only she was interested in boys rather than girls she would have definitely dated Tatsuya.

She cleared her throat loudly, announcing her presence and startling Tatsuya.
He jumped in fear and looked at her with wide eyes. He cursed her out loudly," What the f**k, Rin!!! You scared the crap out of me!!!!!"

Mikarin laughed," Sorry, my bad. But, you know, I saw a great opportunity to scare you and I snatched it!"

"F**k off.", Tatsuya said angrily and he started walking away.

Mikarin grabbed his hand and got dragged away with him. She asked after awhile," What were you thinking? You were completely lost. I have only seen Kirihitho behave like that."

Tatsuya sighed and said," It's Takara. You saw her today, right?"

Mikarin nodded," Yep. She was not herself. The always angry bubble was depressed bubble today."

"Even you noticed."

Mikarin asked seriously," Why? Is something wrong?"

Tatsuya shrugged his shoulders and said," I don't know. But Hiroki thinks something is very wrong."

She scowled and said angrily," And you believed in him!! You f**king moron!"

"Hey!", Tatsuya said, clearly offended.

Mikarin smacked him hard across his back and said," What Hey?!! You are taking Hiroki's words seriously!! How much more dumb can you be?!"

Tatsuya looked at her and sighed in disappointment," No matter how much you hate him or despise him, you have to admit that whatever Hiroki says or think, he is most of the time right about it! He is not a dumb, idiot who speaks without thinking. And that's what I am afraid of! That his words would come true! You know what he said to me before leaving?! That I will lose Takara forever if I don't take actions now. Even though he didn't say it directly but that's exactly what he meant. And....." He released a shaky breath which he didn't even realise he was holding and continued," I don't want to lose Takara! She is my only sibling, my baby sister."
