Chapter 83- We Smile a lot too

" All the things you did for me up until now, were they also because of your selfish reasons?"

Tatsuya and Kirihitho didn't know what to say. Should they tell the truth or lie? Whatever they were going to say, Hiroki was going to hate them for it. Tatsuya stuttered," A-all the things we did for you were equally because of  our selfishness and for your happiness."

Kirihitho and Hiroki stared at him with shock. He continued," You are indeed right, that we are spoilt brats who think the whole world revolves around us. We indeed are selfish and self-centred.........But don't say that we didn't appreciate what you have done for us up until now. We appreciate you a lot but we don't know how to show you that appreciation. You are maybe familiar with this. In our life, we have only met selfish people who have worked with us for their advantage only. Like our former legal advisor. We trusted her so much and showed our appreciation as much as possible only for her to betray us like that. When you first joined the company and we saw how much you were trust worthy, I couldn't believe it. I thought that you were trying to take Hikaru's place in our life. That you were trying to replace him. That you were taking advantage of us like others. And when I saw you two like that in your office, I thought that I was right." He paused for a while as if thinking about that incident," That's why I behaved like that with you. Selfishly, rudely, angrily. Not because I didn't appreciate you but because I thought you were just like those people who took advantage of us."

"Also the time when we visited you in the hospital every single day or the time when we took you to lake, it wasn't because of selfishness but we really wanted to see you. Happy and smiling. Because when you are happy, everyone around you becomes happy. Hikaru smiles a lot when he sees you like that. Your parents smile a lot.............And we smile a lot, too. You have no idea Hiroki, how many changes have occurred since you came back, in everyone's life including us...........And that's why, I want to request you. Can you please give us a second chance? We really don't want to lose you. You have become one of the most important person in our life and we can't afford to lose you."

Hiroki and Kirihitho stared at him with shock and........ disbelief . Well, Hiroki had never thought Tatsuya would say anything like this to anyone. But even Kirihitho had never thought Tatsuya would be like this. So desperate and afraid. A wild thought ran through his mind in that moment.' Does he like Hiroki? Is this a confession?'

There was utter silence in room for good two minutes before Tatsuya finally broke it. He said sheepishly," Why did it sound more like a confession than convincing?"

Kirihitho," Exactly."

Again the room was enveloped in silence and it was finally broke down by Hiroki's laughter. He was laughing mess while the confused duo looked at him as if he was a psycho. Hiroki wiped the tears in his eyes and said while still giggling," Wow, that was one hell of a convincing. And you are right! It totally sounded like confession." And he again started laughing.

Because of his laughter, Kirihitho and Tatsuya broke into a smile. Big, wide smile.

Hiroki finally stopped laughing and giggling," I want you to know that I never tried to take Hikaru's place in your life and will never try to do so. After all, he is my brother. I can never do such thing to him. Also, I had no idea that I became an one of the important person in your life.  And that I made you smile. Or that I brought any major changes in anyone's life.That's really surprising for me..............About the second chance, I need some time to think about it."

They both nodded in understanding. Tatsuya," You can have all the time you want but............can you tell me how much?"

Kirihitho looked at him in disbelief," Tatsuya!"

"What?! I just want to know how long!"

Hiroki smiled," Three days. That will be enough for me and also my father."

"Huh?"

"Huh?"

Someone said from behind," Three days? Even three centuries won't be enough to convince me."

All three of them looked at the man who was glaring at them. Tatsuya and Kirihitho straightened their back at his sight and Hiroki sighed in worry.

Hakuto came inside and sat besides Hiroki, opposite to the duo, on a stool. He first asked Hiroki," What did the doctor say? Is it serious?"

"They don't know yet. Reports are in the process."

Tatsuya asked with worry," What happened?"

Hakuto glared at him," What happened? Are you seriously asking that?"

"..."

Hiroki immediately defended him," This isn't their fault."

Hakuto," Do not defend them."

He glared at the duo and said angrily," I can't believe this. How can you two behave so selfishly? Huh?! Do you think that Hiroki is the one who needs you? No! You are the ones who need him and wanted him to work for you. But, what did you do?! You took him for granted. His efforts, his hardwork, his dedication! Every single thing, you took it for granted! Don't think that just because you are Hikaru's partners, I will forgive you! Now that I look back, it would have been better if I would not have allowed Hiroki to work for you."

Tatsuya and Kirihitho bowed their heads in shame. Hiroki felt pity for them and said," It isn't completely their fault. I  am also equally responsible for this. It was all because of lack of communication. You can't just blame them."

Hakuto looked at him with disbelief," Are you seriously blaming yourself for this?!"

Kirihitho spoke up," It isn't Hiroki's fault but ours. I was the one who requested you but failed you. And I am sorry for that. To both of you."

Hiroki frowned. He didn't like this at all. He didn't know why but he didn't like Hakuto blaming the duo. It was stinging him. Really bad.

Kirihitho continued," But, I promise you that if you send Hiroki back, we will take care of him and respect him. Not only him but his hardwork, dedication. So please" He bowed 90°," give us a second chance!"

Tatsuya copied his actions and said," Please sir!"
