Chapter 45- Failed(?) Investigation

Hikaru looked at him in shock. He fumbled while saying," Yesh.......I mean you took this case to prove Haru innocent?"

"Yeah."

"What? Then why didn't you say so earlier?"

Hiroki chuckled, " Do you think anyone would have believed in me?"

Hikaru thought for a while then asked," Then why didn't you take Haru's side rather than Mami's side?"

"Well, even if my main intention is to prove that Haru is innocent but at the same time I don't want Mami or her family to suffer from any injustice. What happened to her is indeed cruel and she didn't deserve it. That's why."

Hikaru was amazed by Hiroki. He smiled mildly and said," All the best. I hope for you to be successful."

Hiroki also returned his smile.

Tatsuya and Kirihitho were listening all this time and were also amazed by Hiroki. Hiroki indeed thought differently. 

Kirihitho said,"  Then I will go with Hiroki and Tatsuya will go with Hikaru."

Hiroki declined," No. You three go and do whatever you came here to do. No need to be stuck with me."

Hikaru," But-"

Hiroki," No buts. You already brought me here. That's enough. When are you getting free?"

Hikaru," At lunch time."

"Okay then. I will meet you here during lunch time."

Hiroki left after saying this. The three looked at Hiroki's back dumbfounded.

Tatsuya," Then, I guess we should also leave. The ceremony will start soon."

Hikaru and Kirihitho nodded.

Hiroki sat in front of Dean of the university. The dean didn't dare to not see Hiroki after knowing that he was one of the Kamazura's. Kamazura's were influential. Almost everyone was afraid to mess with them.

Hiroki stared at him for quite some time that it was getting awkward.

Dean cleared his throat and asked," Sir, what brings you here?"

Hiroki didn't answer immediately. He said," Hiroki."

Dean was confused,"Huh?"

"My name is Hiroki. No need to call me Sir. And you know it very well that what brings me here, don't you?"

Dean gave two awkward chuckles," Yes, yes I know. It's about Mami Sachio. Let me tell you something truthfully, that girl wasn't a nice person as her mother told you."

Hiroki frowned," Why?"

"I heard that Mami was a call girl and also worked in sex industry. And the cause of her death was one of her clients. I genuinely pity you, Hiroki. You should never associate yourself with snakes like her."
