CHAPTER 15 - Mama

Flashback

   A young boy was running in the garden of the mansion followed by a trail of nannies and servants.

A nanny said , panicking, " Young master! Please don't run like that! If you get injured we will be punished!"

The young boy stopped and looked at that nanny. He walked towards her and signed her get at his level.

The nanny crouched down and was immediately met with a slap on her face. She held her slapped cheek in horror and looked at the young boy who slapped her.

The young boy shouted," HOW DARE A MERE SERVANT TOLD ME WHAT TO DO? WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE TO TALK LIKE THAT WITH ME?!"

The nanny was terrified. She was almost on the verge of crying. She wanted to apologise.

At the same time , a stern voice sounded in garden.

"Tatsuya! What are you doing?!"

Tatsuya was extremely happy to see whose voice it was . He shouted excitedly," Mama!" and ran towards her. He hugged her tightly and looked up at her with stars in his eyes but he didn't receive a hug back from her.

Everyone present in the garden was shocked. They all thought, ' How did a child who acted like a devil turned into an angel into mere seconds?'

Tatsuya's mama again asked," Tatsuya, what did you do ?"

Tatsuya was confused. He didn't know why his mama was mad at him.

Mama said to one of the servants," Bring me a stick."

"Yes , my lady."

Young Tatsuya was crying very hard. His mama was beating him with a stick on his legs but he didn't know why.

Young Tatsuya asked with shaky voice," Mama! Why are you hitting me? What did I do wrong?"

"You don't know what you did wrong? You slapped your Nanny's face! She was worried about you that you will fall and then also you slapped her. And also she is way older than you are! You should not behave like that with her rather you should not behave like that with anyone."

"But she is just a mere servant! Why should I talk properly with her?"

Mama looked at Tatsuya very gently and said," She is not just a mere servant. She is way more than that. Who is the person who always wake you up so that you will not get late for breakfast and be scolded by dad? Who is the person who helps you to get ready for school? Who is the person who takes blame on themselves for your wrongdoings? Who is the person who reads a story for you everyday? There are many, many things she does for you , even more than what I do for you. And then also you call her a mere servant? According to me she is more than a mother to you."

Tatsuya looked at the nanny with innocent eyes.

Mama stroked his hair and said," Tatsuya, no one in this world will be truly successful if that person don't respect anyone. You should learn to respect everyone and everything around you who truly deserve it  . Like your nanny. So what do you say to someone if you did something wrong?"

Tatsuya trotted towards nanny and said," I am sorry. I shouldn't have done that. Please forgive me."

Nanny was startled. She spoke in broken sentences," It's......fi-fine y-y-young master."

Tatsuya smiled at her and gave a kiss at the cheek where he slapped her .

"Pain pain go away. Mama always do this to me when I get hurt."

The nanny looked at Tatsuya with teary eyes and said," I feel better now! Thank you , young master."

Tatsuya again trotted towards his mama and hugged her .

"Tatsuya did right?"

Mama smiled at him very proudly and said," Yes, you did it right. Mama is very proud of you. From now on don't behave like that with anyone. "

Tatsuya nodded at her eagerly.

She continued," And , mama is also very sorry. I hit you very hard , right? Let's go and apply some medicine on it!"

She picked him in her hands and walked back towards mansion.

End of flashback

At the hospital bed Tatsuya hugged Hiroki very tightly. He suddenly remembered that day . And sadly, his mama passed away after a short while from that incident . Tatsuya was devastated. After that , no one ever taught him , loved him , cared for him like his mama. That's why he became a ruthless bastard to the world due to how cruel the world behave with him after his Mama's death.

But suddenly, today he was reminded of his mama due to Hiroki. He was very thankful about it.

After sometime, he finally stopped crying.

Hiroki asked gently," Feeling better?"

Hiroki didn't ask him the reason for his breakdown and Tatsuya was even more thankful about it.

He nodded in response.

Door opened and in came Kirihitho. He was shocked to see swollen eyes of Tatsuya. Kirihitho knew Tatsuya cried just now.

He asked , panicking," Why are you crying? Is his condition that bad for you to cry? No! You wouldn't cry about it!" 

Kirihitho looked at Hiroki angrily and asked," Did you say anything to him?!"

Hiroki said," N-"

Tatsuya cut him off and said," He didn't say anything to me. Something just went in my eye . Don't worry so much about me baby."

Kirihitho didn't believe in him but decided not ask him any  questions further.

He instead asked Hiroki," You okay?"

Hiroki nodded and leaned back in his bed . His headache was getting worse.

Kirihitho said looking at him," Rest for a while. Shin will bring something for you to eat. We will be returning back as we have some important work to do. Take care."

Hiroki looked at him with tired eyes and just closed them.

Kirihitho wanted to stay in hospital but he couldn't as he and Tatsuya needed to visit his family due to some emergency.

He glanced at Kirihitho one last time before living.......
