Chapter 27- Convincing

"We need to talk."

Hiroki stared at Hakuto's serious face.

Hakuto said," The reason you fainted today was not just due to blood loss but also lack of oxygen and blood supply to your brain. So, Dr.Noman suggested to perform a surgery. LVAD surgery. I guess you know about it."

Hiroki sighed and looked out the window.

He said," I knew this situation will come soon. My previous doctor also suggested me to get this surgery done."

"Then, why didn't you?"

Hiroki replied plainly," Didn't have enough money and also not interested."

Hakuto looked at him like he was some sort of idiot," Not interested? Are you dumb? That VAD will increase your surviving chances more untill the heart transplant! How can you not be interested? Even if in past you didn't have enough money but now I am providing it to you. You need to get this surgery done."

Hiroki didn't say anything.

Hakuto used his final card," So, if something terrible happens to you and you don't find a heart donor, your mother will carry that guilt for rest of her life. Do you want such thing to happen just because you are not interested?"

Hiroki frowned. He didn't want Mirai to carry the blame if something happened to him. Yes, he knew that the infection was due to that accident. And even if that accident was Mirai's fault but the rest of the things that happened afterwards wasn't for her to take blame upon.

Hiroki had no intention of going through this surgery. Even if it increased his surviving chances, it was too much of hustle for his daily life. If he had just few months to live, he will choose to live them freely rather being binded with a machine. But, he didn't have any other option..............so he reluctantly agreed.

Hakuto was extremely happy after hearing Hiroki's response. He immediately contacted Dr.Noman and decided to perform surgery by tomorrow only.

But, there was a problem. Hiroki's blood type was AB- and currently there was no AB- blood present in hospital. Hiroki's and Hikaru's blood types were same but currently, Hikaru was suffering from flu so it was not possible for him to donate blood.

Hakuto told his secretary to find someone having AB- blood type as he was in hurry to perform the surgery.

After sometime, Hikaru came in hospital with Kenny and her husband.

Hakuto greeted them and looked at them in confusion.

Kenny's husband, Aito, said," Kenny's blood type is same as your son's. That's why we came here after Hikaru told us about your situation."

Kenny nodded.

Hakuto and Hikaru were extremely thankful to them.

Kenny donated her blood and asked Hikaru," Can I talk with your brother? I just want to know him if you don't have any problem."

Hikaru said," No it's okay, they are going to perform surgery tommorow afternoon so you can talk with him."

Kenny smiled at Hikaru and went inside the room with him.

As soon as Kenny looked at Hiroki, she shouted," ARROGANT BASTARD?!"

Hiroki and Hikaru both looked at her in shock.

She immediately composed herself and said," Sorry. My bad."

Hikaru gave her a weird look and said," Brother, she is Kirihitho's elder sister, Kenny. Kenny Minamoto. And he is my brother, Hiroki Kamazura."

Kenny put on her most fake smile," Nice to meet you."

Hiroki smiled at her," Nice to meet you too."

Hikaru left after introducing them to check on his father.

After Hikaru left, Kenny stopped smiling and glared at Hiroki," So we meet again."

Hiroki was confused at first but realized that she was the crazy drunk lady from that day.

Kenny sneered," If I would have known it was you, I would have never donated my blood to you."

Someone entered the room and said," Kenny that's enough."

That person looked at Hiroki and introduced himself," Minamoto Aito. Kenny's husband."

Hiroki nodded in response and stared at him for a while.

Hiroki remembered where he had seen this person earlier and then looked at Kenny.

Aito saw his reaction and chuckled," So you remember who we are."

Kenny looked at Aito with confusion.

Aito talked with Hiroki very rudely," Even if you were a bastard at that time we aren't. We understand when it's time to show ego and when it isn't."

Aito smiled at Kenny," I guess, you don't want to talk with him anymore. So, shall we leave, darling?"

Kenny nodded and they both left.

Hiroki just looked at the door dumbfounded.' They misunderstood me, huh.'

Hiroki spent the complete night in the hospital. As no relatives were allowed to stay in hospital with the patient, Hakuto and Hiroki went home.

Hiroki couldn't sleep on that night at all. He was worried about the next day's surgery. After all, it was an open heart surgery. Who would not worry about it?

In the morning, Kai and Itonome came. Hiroki was somewhat disappointed that Mikarin didn't come but kept it to himself.Kai and Itonome spend entire morning with him. Finally it was time to shift him to operation theater and give anesthesia.

The anesthesiologist asked Hiroki," Nervous?"

Hiroki nodded.

She chuckled and said," Don't be. Dr.Noman is an amazing doctor. You are under great hands."

Hiroki gave her a sweet smile and started falling asleep.The dose of anesthesia was very strong. Therefore, Hiroki went in deep slumber just in few minutes.

When Hiroki fell asleep, a ventilator was attached to him during entire surgery. It lasted for at least 6 hours.

After the surgery, Hiroki was shifted in ICU........
