Chapter 85- How can you say that?

In the Kamazura Mansion,

Itonome grumbled loudly," How can he say such thing? It's been so long!"

Hikaru," He isn't lying though. I made his life a living hell."

Mirai patted his back and said," You can't blame yourself for this. What he went through was nothing compared to what he did to you!"

Hikaru looked at her in disbelief," Mom, how can you say that? Are you seriously blaming everything on him again?"

Mirai also protested," Well, he was a selfish brat. He literally molested you! How can a someone do that to their own younger brother? He took his revenge by doing what he did to you! And he was the reason you tried to-"

Hikaru shouted," MOM!! ENOUGH!!*sigh* This is the problem, mom. For every thing that went wrong in my life, it was his fault. It didn't matter if he was involved or not. You have always been like this. Tell me, why won't he hate me when I bullied him all the time and then also, you protected me?! Why won't he hate me when I was responsible for his bad childhood?! Why won't he hate me when I took his mom away from him?! I know it very well that what he did to me was extremely wrong and disgusting but I don't blame him for anything. Also, you told him to let the past go but you are still hung up on it, too. Don't be so selfish!"

Hakuto," Hikaru, your mom isn't being selfish. She is standing up for you! Why can't you see that?!"

Hikaru said with red eyes," Then how come she never stood up for Hiroki?!"

He left after saying this leaving stunned trio( Hakuto, Mirai & Itonome) behind. He went in his room and took out an old box from his closest. He slowly opened it and took out the photo album from it. There was KING written on the album with Big golden font. He laughed to himself when he saw it.' Aaaa.... good old memories.'

He slowly started flipping through it. There were many photos in them of him, his siblings, his cousins, his so called uncles and aunts but out of all of them, his favourite was that one. The one where Hiroki was painting and he was crying besides him. Hiroki completely ignored his presence in it. Well, why would such a picture be favourite of anyone? The story behind it was that Hikaru accidentally ruined his painting by splashing paint on it and he was very upset about it because the next day, there was art competition in his school. So, Hiroki took the initiative and made him a new painting which won him the first prize in the competition. After that day onwards, the relationship between two brothers was somewhat improved. But unfortunately, it didn't last long as Hikaru started getting involved with more and more bad friend circle.

Hikaru leaned back on his closest and started thinking about the old memories......

Flashback

Seven year old Hikaru angrily started throwing things at heavily pregnant Mirai. He started throwing a tantrum," I told you I don't want anymore brother!!! I don't want him!!!!"

Mirai tried to console him," Hikaru, please baby. Be a good boy, okay? If you will be good boy, then I will buy you the new cycle which you want."

Hikaru crossed his hands and pouted,"Really?"

"Really. But for that you have to be a good boy."

A maid entered in the room where they were and informed Mirai,"Madam, they have arrived."

Mirai smiled brightly at her," I will be there soon."

She looked back at Hikaru, brushed his hair a little bit and off they went to meet his new brother which he had not seen once.

They both arrived in the hall where everybody was already present. Hikaru looked at one stranger and one familiar face. Hikaru ran with excitement towards the familiar face," GRANDMAAA!!!You are here"

Hanah (grandma) picked him up and asked," How is my little King?"

"The King is happy."

Grandma laughed," Oh my! This servant is happy if the king is happy." She settled him down near the stranger boy who smiled at him slightly. Their grandma introduced them," Hiroki, say hello to him. He is your younger brother, Hikaru. You both have only one year age gap so get along well, okay?"

Hiroki nodded and looked at Hikaru gently. He said quietly," It's nice to meet you. I hope we will get along."

Hikaru blushed. This was the first time he saw his brother, his gorgeous older brother and couldn't help having a crush on him.

Mirai said from behind him," Hikaru say something."

Kai teased him," Oh! He has a crush on Hiroki! Hahahaha"

Mikarin and Itonome added fuel to fire and said together," Yes he does!"

Hikaru's face turned red with embarrassment and he shouted," No I don't! He is so ugly! How can I have a crush on him?!"

He glared at Hiroki and said," Because of you they are teasing me! How dare you do that?!"

And he pulled Hiroki's hair roughly. Hiroki was so startled that his reflex action was to push Hikaru off him and Hikaru's back landed directly on the corner of the table which gave him a spine injury.

Mirai ran towards crying Hikaru and asked worriedly," Baby, look at mommy. Where does it hurt? Tell me."

But Hikaru just went on crying and crying. She glared at Hiroki and scolded him," You brat. On your first day back, you started causing trouble!"

Their grandma shouted at her," How can you blame Hiroki for this? Hikaru was the one who pulled his hair. Of course Hiroki had to push him off like that."

Mirai reverted back," Hiroki is older than him! Can't he take a little bit of pulling hair?"

Hanah looked at her in disbelief but didn't continue as she knew Mirai wasn't going to listen. She crouched on Hiroki's level and asked him," Does it hurt?"

Hiroki shook his head but Hanah knew that he was lying. She gently petted his hair and took him away from everyone.

Mirai and her butler took Hikaru to the hospital. The doctor told them that his spinal cord was injured but luckily it wasn't serious. He just needed bed rest for three days and some extra care for two weeks. But Mirai took this small accident very big and scolded Hiroki untill he was on the verge of crying. She even made Hiroki apologise to Hikaru even though it wasn't his fault. She didn't even care to ask if his head was hurting. And this was the start of toxic behaviour of Mirai towards Hiroki.

After Mito was born, it became worse for almost a year because she was suffering from PPD. She and Hanah fought all the time. Even though Hanah knew Mirai was suffering from depression, she couldn't tolerate Mirai's toxic behaviour towards Hiroki at all. Hakuto also saw what was happening but rather than telling Mirai her faults and mistakes, he started supporting her. Even though later he realised it was wrong to do so, but still.

In such a bad situation, Hikaru always bullied Hiroki. From destroying his toys to burning his homework and he was never scolded for it. But if Hiroki even raised his voice a little bit on Hikaru, it was a mess. Mirai would shout at him and ground him for rest of the day. By seeing this, younger siblings started bullying Hiroki and elder siblings started ignoring him except Mikarin.

Mikarin would always support Hiroki, help him, play with him and would give her shoulder to him when he cried. That was how Mikarin and Hiroki became so close. For him, she was the best person in the world, of course after his grandma. She was the best sister he could ask from God. He was so fond of her that he would do anything for her even if was wrong. After all, she was the first person in that big mansion who accepted him as their family.
