"What the hell are you thinking?"

Kai stared at Hiroki in disbelief," Hiroki, are you seriously thinking over such obvious matter?"

Haru and Mito stared at their brothers in worry. This was not good. Kai was extremely mad. If Hiroki didn't agree to give them the rights, Kai was going to go on rampage.

Haru," Brother, calm down. He didn't say anything yet."

Kai glared at Hiroki expecting some answer but Hiroki went in trance. Kai had enough of his bulls**it and dragged him towards their father.
Kai said sarcastically," Dad! Look. Your precious son, Hiroki, is thinking about whether to give us the rights or not."

Hakuto frowned," What's their to think about, Hiroki?"

Hiroki sighed," I want to give rights to Mikasa."

There was dead silence in the room.

After a while, Hakuto scoffed," Hiroki, please tell me you are joking."

Hiroki looked at his angry father and said," No, I am not joking."

Hakuto released a shaky breath. He was so angry that he picked up a vase and threw it on the wall. That, somehow triggered Hiroki's  worst memory of his father. He recalled that memory which he was desperately trying to forget.........

Flashback

12 year old Hiroki was dragged in the Kamazura Mansion by Hakuto who was looking furious. No, not even furious. There was murderous look on his face. He threw Hiroki on the ground and paced around in the room. Little Hiroki was very terrified. He had never seen his father like that......as if he wanted to kill Hiroki right there and then.

Mirai rushed in the room and held Hakuto tightly. She looked at her angry husband who was only seeing red. He tried to shook her off of him but she held more tightly.

Hakuto growled," Let me go!"

Mirai stayed firm," No!"

"Mirai! Let. Me. Go."

Mirai looked at him, terrified," Hakuto, you are going insane. Stop it. We have all lost her, you are not the only one who is angry or sad. Don't do this. Please!"

Hakuto started crying," My mom, why she had to die like that? Huh? What did she do wrong? Why is my mother dead? HUUUUHHHHH?! I DID EVERYTHING FOR HER!! HOW CAN SHE LEAVE JUST LIKE THAT?!!"
He looked murderously towards Hiroki. He marched towards his son and yanked him to stand straight causing Hiroki to dislocate his shoulder due to such a strong force. He groaned painfully at the painful sensation but Hakuto only saw red and slapped him hard across his face.

This startled Mirai and she dragged away Hakuto from Hiroki. She shouted at her husband," What are you doing?! Don't be like this! He is terrified of you!"

Hakuto shouted," So what?! It's all his fault!! IT'S ALL HIS FAULT THAT MY MOM IS GONE!!"

Hiroki whimpered," I-I  a-a-am-"

Hakuto barked at him," SHUT THE F**K UP! YOU F**KING MURDERER!"
He squeezed Hiroki's shoulders tightly and said venomously," Are you happy now, Hiroki?! Are you f**king happy that you have ruined a happy family?! It's all your fault! You should have  never been born! It would have been better if you would have died in that f**king crash instead of my mom. At least, I would have hated you less!"

This caused Hiroki to finally break down. He was just a 12 year old boy at that time. The word Hate was a big, bad word to him.

Hakuto laughed sarcastically," Are you seriously crying?! WHAT BLOODY RIGHT YOU HAVE TO CRY??!!"
He picked up a nearby vase and threw it towards Hiroki's direction. Thankfully, Hiroki moved and the vase missed to hit him by mere centimetres.

Mirai shouted," HAKUTO!! WHAT IS WRONG WITH YOU?!! THAT'S OUR SON!! YOU CAN'T BEHAVE LIKE THIS!!"

Hakuto scoffed and sat down," Our son? No, Mirai. Our son died in that crash! He is a f**king murder! NOT MY SON!!!"
He looked at petrified Hiroki whose tears were still streaming from his eyes. This angered Hakuto even more," Get the f**k out of here and wash those tears off your face. If I see even a single drop of tear in your eyes..... I will gouge them out."

Mirai wasn't able to handle Hakuto so the last resort was to send Hiroki away.
She slowly approached him and looked at his terrified eyes from which the tears were threatening to fall. She couldn't help tearing up at such a sight of her son. She tried to stroke his face gently but Hiroki flinched back thinking she was going to hit him like Hakuto. This pained her a lot and she hugged him tightly.

She whispered," It's fine, Hiroki. It's going to be fine. Now, go to your sister and wait with her for me, okay?"

This was the first and last time Hiroki ever saw his mother caring for him in such a way. She was actually there for him when he needed her and it startled Hiroki. He was terrified of his own mother's warmth and care.

He slowly walked towards his bathroom, dragged a stool in front of basin and stood on it. He looked at his crying face and hated it. He hated himself. He slowly started the water faucet and splashed water on his face. But it didn't stop his crying. So, he kept on doing that untill he stopped crying. It was from this day that Hiroki started having this habit, splashing water on his face whenever he was on verge of venerablty. It gave him a sense of relief.

After that, Hiroki's memory was very fuzzy but he remembered clearly that Mirai barged in the room when he passed out completely due to pain and exhaustion.

End of Flashback

"...ki......Hiroki! HIROKI!"

Hiroki looked at Hakuto, terrified.
Hakuto realised what he had done and immediately apologised," I-I am sorry. I didn't mean to do it."

Kai looked at the duo in confusion. He had no idea what was happening. In fact, no one in the Kamazura Mansion knew what happened on that day, what was the main reason Hiroki went mute, what was the main reason for Hiroki to suffer from childhood depression and why did Hiroki distant himself so much from his own family?
