Chapter 64- He was Thankful

The next day, Hiroki woke up in the bathroom. He realised he feel asleep there last night. He got up slowly which was very difficult due to his actions last night and his shoulder was hurting really bad. He walked near the cabinet, opened it and put the razor back where no one would see it.

He then cleaned up the cuts and applied ointment and bandages on them. Soon he was done with everything and went to kitchen to prepare his breakfast and lunch. As usual everyone greeted him and he also greeted them back. Everything seemed normal, just too normal that yesterday's events felt like a nightmare.

That day also he took a bus to the company but this time Mia also got on the bus with him. She didn't allow any passenger to get on it after that. Hiroki completely ignored her existence as he was in no mood to deal with her. What was happening in his life was more than enough already. He didn't bother stopping her and just leaned his head on the window quietly. He looked at the streets and saw everyone busy with their own lives and problems.

He closed his eyes and felt the vibrations of the moving bus. He smiled with this feeling of familiarity. During his college days, even though he was an external student, he needed to give exams offline. So he always used to take bus to go to college. The nervousness of passing his exams and maintaining his scholarship was always lingering in his mind. So, he used to lean on the window like this and felt the vibrations of the moving bus which calmed his nervousness and racing thoughts. Even if those days were hard but he had the strength in him to face them. But now, he didn't have any strength or capacity to face anything. He sighed tiredly and sat back straight. 

Mia observed every single of his actions and frowned. She thought to herself,' What is wrong with him? He wasn't like this yesterday. Did something happen again?'

Hiroki got off the bus and touched his shoulder. The pain was increasing every passing second. He touched it slightly but winced. Mia asked with concern," Sir, what's wrong?"

Hiroki didn't reply her and went straight in the company. At his office, Tatsuya was waiting for him. Tatsuya saw him and smiled brightly. He got up and touched Hiroki's injured shoulder to say Hi but Hiroki winced back. Tatsuya," Hey, was I too rough?"

Hiroki sighed," No..... I fell yesterday, that's why it's hurting."

Tatsuya," You should have been careful!"

"Yeah."

Tatsuya noticed Hiroki's strange behavior. He was not himself. Something was definitely wrong but Tatsuya didn't dare to ask as he knew Hiroki won't like it, so they just continued with their meeting and soon he left.

Later, Sheila came in. She asked," Head, what are we going to do about yesterday's contract?"

Hiroki asked her," Do you have any plan or idea?"

She shook her head.

Hiroki sighed," Later in afternoon we will have a meeting on this with Anna and Ravi. Also, take this." He handed her a sheet.

Sheila," What's this?"

"This is our to do list. I have planned everything on it. Stick it on the green board so you will be able to keep track of your work. Follow it properly and maybe in one month we will be out of this current mess."

Sheila nodded.

"Also, do you guys need extra hands? I am thinking of hiring more people. Of course, not right now. But once everything is on track we can hire more people."

Sheila thought for a while and said," Well if we hire more people, that will be really amazing. I will discuss this with those two and will inform you about it in today's meeting. Also, thanks for this time table. It will help us a lot."

Hiroki smiled at her and she left.

He slumped back in his chair and held his shoulder tightly. It was hurting more and more. He thought,' Maybe I need to see the doctor.'

Soon, another knock came in and Shin came inside. She handed him a box of cookies without saying anything and left. Hiroki looked at the box in confusion but opened it. There was a note inside. He opened it and started reading it.

Hey Hiroki, 

                 I know it must be hard for you to take so much responsibilities and clean up our mess. I am sorry that I am making you go through this. But I just want to tell you that, you are the best thing that has happened to us after many years. Because of you we have learned a lot. I mean it. If it weren't for you, we would have given up a long time ago and would have already asked our parents help. But you made us realise that we are worth something and we should take responsibility for our own mistakes rather than depending on anyone. Thank you. You must be thinking that it is too soon to say thank you but you know, I just couldn't resist it and wrote this letter.

          Also, sometimes it's fine to cry and rely on someone. I don't know what you have gone through but I assure you everything will be fine. We are here, Mikasa is here and your family is here. So, don't think you are alone. It's fine to let go sometimes, you know. It's fine if you are sad or angry. No need to hide it. You should know this that there are many people who care for you and love you. Don't give up, okay.^_^

At the end of the letter, Hiroki started crying. No one had ever appreciated him so much. He was so thankful for what Tatsuya did. He clenched the letter tightly in his hands and couldn't stop crying for a long time. Tatsuya had no idea how much this letter meant to Hiroki.
