Chapter 2-Run

I ran out of the house, everything was hurting but I didn't care, I needed to run as fast as I could to get out. I got to the front of my house, running down the street. I heard a car speeding up, I turned around to see it is one of the cars the person owns.

Run Skylar, run

I turned into a corner when another car pulls up onto the sidewalk. I turned around and the other car pulled up onto the sidewalk

Men came out of the car, they were going to hurt me. I always end up getting hurt

I start running in another direction, trying to climb the fence but I felt hand wrap around my torso and pull me off the fence. I tried thrashing around but a small person compared to a big guy can easily make me stop by grabbing on my legs and arms.

The guy shoved me into the car, I directly hit my stitches onto the seatbelt part where you click it in. I mentally cursed in pain. I looked down to see no blood, thank god,

Two people opened the door, sitting next to me. I was squished in the middle.

"What are you going to do with me?" I asked with this new courage I found

They didn't answer me.

The drive was quick and one of the men sitting next to me pulled me out and grabbed me so I wouldn't run. We entered the house and I was pushed to sit next to my stepdad

The man slowly walks over to me, looking into my eyes but I quickly divert my attention to my shoes

I wish I could get new shoes

"What's your name" the guy asked

I didn't give it up. I stayed quiet

"I asked you for your name" the man shouted causing me to flinch. God I hate how weak I am

"S-s-sky-Skylar" I said stuttering. I was terrified, there is a strange man in my house with a gun. Anything could happen.

He grabbed my chin making me look up at him

"When I'm talking to you, look at me not at your shoes" he said

I nodded my head quickly

"Good" he said

"Lucas, since you don't have the money. I'll be taking your lovely daughter as compensation until you can pay me back" the man said making my eyes shoot up to him with a shocked expression

"No, take anything else. The locket she's wearing it's made out of gold" Lucas said offering my mother's locket of her and I and on the other side my biological father.

"My decision is made" the man said

He snapped his finger and two man came up to my, one holding my backpack and the other gripping my arm

"Please no, I didn't do anything" I begged

This man can kill me, or hurt me more than my step dad. I didn't have much with me, pretty much everything is in my backpack.

I was shoved into a car that was waiting for us, then door was slammed

The other side door opened and stepped in the estranged man.

"Please let me go, I didn't do anything" I begged with tears streaming down

"No" is all he said

"Please" I shouted

"No, now put your seatbelt on, stop crying and be quiet" he shouted

I quickly moved and put my seatbelt on. I tried stop crying but it wouldn't stop. I was holding in my sobs.
