Chapter 24-therapist visit

We reached the office, Michael helped me fill out the forms because I didn't know a lot of the information.

"Ok, so I will be out here" he said

"Ok" I replied

"Skylar" the therapist called out

I got up and I followed the therapist to the room.

"Hi Skylar, I'm Dr. Genevieve" she said

"Hi" I said

"How are you today?" She asked

"Good, a bit nervous" I said

"That's normal, but you can relax. Today we are just going to get to know each other" she said

"Ok" I replied

"So what do you like to do?" She asked

"I like to skateboard, mostly skateboard" I said

"That's fun, I could never skateboard. I would fall all the time" she said

"I fell too but still tried. My mom taught me" I said

"That's good, at least you never stopped" she said

"Yeah, thank god" I said

"What is your mom like?" She asked

"She was very sweet, and very determined. The best and I wish I could see her again" I said

"I'm very sorry for your loss" she said

"Thank you" I said

"What was it like when she left?" She asked

"I.. umm" I said

I didn't want to say, I wasn't ready

"It's okay, you don't have to talk about it. It's okay" she said

"Thank you" I replied

"So, have you been watching any shows and movies lately?" She asked

"Yeah I recently just watched 10 things I hate about you" I said

"That's a classic, it's one of my favorites" she said

"I know, it was funny and I loved Patrick Verona" I said

"Ahh Heath ledger, he was an amazing actor. It is a great movie. One of my top ten" she replied

"Yeah, and I've been watching Lucifer. I like it so far" I said

"I've heard about it. I will add it to my list" she replied

We talked for some more, getting to know each other. She asked about tyler and my mom a bit but they were intruding questions, just basic questions.

"Ok Skylar, that is the end of our session. I will see you next week and then we will start the session where we have it twice a week" she said

"Ok, thank you Dr. Genevieve" I said

"No problem" she replied

I walked out of the office and to find Michael on his phone.

"I'm done Michael" I said

"How was it?" He asked

"Good, we just got to know each other" I replied

"That's good" he said

We got to the car and we got some food before we headed home.

"Why did you decide to work for tyler?" I asked
