The month of February is bittersweet. I hate seeing couples with there teddy bears and flowers and chocolates. It makes me want to throw up, I hate Valentine's Day, plus February is so short for no reason.
I finished my homework and decided to skateboard around the neighborhood but I had to ask Tyler first
"Tyler" I knocked on his office door which was open.
"Yes" he replied
"I finished my homework, can I skateboard around the neighborhood?" I asked
"Sure, be back before dinner" he replied
"Ok" I rushed out with my skateboard and put my earbuds in. The neighborhood is pretty big so doing one circle was enough.
Once I got home I put my skateboard away ate dinner with Tyler
"My parents are coming this weekend for dinner" Tyler stated
"Just your parents?" I questioned
"Yes" he replied
"Ok" I said finishing my dinner. Once dinner was over I went upstairs and started to get ready for bed. Once I was done I headed to bed not ready to see it everyones stupid valentines
I woke up and got ready for school. I went downstairs to eat some breakfast
"Skylar I made you special pancakes" she passed the plate to me to show heart shaped pancakes.
"Thank you" I said. I started eating it and once finished Tyler drove me to school
He groaned as he saw the Valentine's Day banners
"You don't like Valentine's Day either?" I asked
"Why have a day where we celebrate love" he replied
"I know it sucks" I said. At least someone is on my side. We approached school and I got out of the car. I waved him goodbye and went inside where I found Ava by my locker
"Hey" I said
"Hi, I have something for you" she pulled out a small bag and handed it to me "happy Valentine's Day" she smiled
"Ava you didn't have to do that" I shook my head
"I wanted to, you're my best friend" she replied
"I'm sorry Ava I didn't know we were doing this or I would have gotten you one" I said
"No don't worry, I wanted to do this for you" she replied. She ushered me to open and I saw she gave me a small bear that is holding a heart and my favorite candy
"Thank you" I hugged her
"You're welcome, now come on we are going to miss class" she pulled on my arm and dragged me to class.
The first half of the school day wasn't bad and I was more excited for lunch and to go home. I didn't have practice today for once so I'm very excited to relax for once.
"Hey so I'm not gonna sit with the others so do you want to get a table or are you going to sit with your cousin and his friends" Ava asked
"We can get our own table" I suggested pointing out to an empty one. We bought lunch and headed to the table. We both enjoyed lunch and we pointed out the couples and decided whether or not it's cringy on what they are doing or subtle.
If I were to get a Valentine I like a mix of it. I can be cheesy and want that bear with flowers but I also don't want it to be so cringy either.
Once lunch was over I went to the last class of the day which I had with Anthony
