Today is the day I get my arm cast off. I was very excited because no one could stop me from skateboarding. Therapy is going fine, we haven't done much but she isn't pushing it. She's nice about taking it slow.
"Miss Skylar, are you excited?" Michael asked
"Yes, I want this off" I said
"I bet" he replied
I got into the car and drove off to the doctor's office. Michael came upstairs with me and signed in.
"Skylar" Dr. Sophia called out
"Hey Dr. Sophia" I said
"Ready to get the cast off?" She asked
"Yup" I replied
"So, I know you hate needles but we need to do another blood test" she said
"No, last time I passed out" I said begging not to do it
"I'm sorry skylar but it's mandatory to make sure you're getting better" she said
"Can you call Tyler?" I asked
"Sure" she replied
She called Tyler but he didn't pick up
"He isn't picking up" she said
"Are you sure we have to do this?" I asked
"Yes skylar" she said
"Can someone stay with me?" I asked
"Sure, I know the perfect person" she replied
She left the room and brought Anthony in
"Hey Anthony" I said
"Hi" he replied
"Anthony here will hold your hand, you can squeeze it as much as you want" dr. Sophia said
"Are you sure?" I asked Anthony
"Sure, I don't mind" he said
"Thanks" I replied
Dr. Sophia grabbed the tools and started taking it off. Once she was done my arm felt great being out of the cast.
"Ok, so you have a bit of physical therapy for your hand but nothing much." She said
"Ok" I replied
"Well skylar, you are officially cast free, but now blood test" she said
"Oh god" I said
"Lay down because that will not make you pass out" Dr. Sophia said
I nodded my head and laid down
"You can squeeze my hand" Anthony said
"Ok, look away" Dr. Sophia said
I grabbed Anthony's hand, squeezing it and closing my eyes
"How is it that you passed out last time?" Anthony asked
"I don't know, you're asking the wrong person" I said
"So what are you going to do now without the cast on?" He asked
"Skateboard a lot more and maybe even swim" I said
"I love swimming, it's gonna be hot so it will be a lot of fun" he replied
