Charli sat on the porch with some of the girls, watching the boys skate the half-pipe.

Vinnie just finished his run then it was Chase's turn. He dropped down doing a kick-flip then popped back onto the ramp.

He fist-pumped Michael to go next.

"...arli?...Charli?"

Fingers snapped in front of her face taking her out of her stupor.

"Sorry what Avani?"

"You didn't hear a word I said this whole time."

"No, no I did."

She crossed her arms, "What did I say then?"

"Uh..." Charli sucked in her cheeks, "Talking about the new bike you got Anthony."

Avani bumped her shoulder into her. "Stop staring at your boy."

She blushed and fingered a loose bang behind her ear, "I wasn't just looking at Chase. I was wondering how they find riding down that ramp so fun."

Avani shrugged, "Anthony tried to teach me how to ride a skateboard but I landed flat on my ass too many times and then I quit."

She got a thoughtful look on her face and crossed her arms over her knees.

"Hottie! You ready to go?" Chase called after jumping down from the half-pipe.

Charli stood up, bringing Avani up with her to hug her goodbye.

Chase waited for her to meet him and link their fingers together. He carried his board by the trucks.

"Did you have fun?" She asked as soon as they got in his car.

"Yeah of course, it's always fun skating with the boys. The only thing they need to add is a rail to grind on and it'll be perfect."

"How did you get so good at skating?"

"I skated since I was a kid." He answered her, shrugging a shoulder.

"Can you teach me how to ride one?" She rubbed his forearm that was on her thigh.

His eyebrows raised as he glanced away from the road to look at her to see if she was serious or not. "You want to learn how to skate?"

"I just want to know what the appeal is. I mean most of you guys skate."

Chase tongued his cheek in thought. "Okay after my meeting today I'll teach you on the patio."

She kissed his cheek in thanks. They were headed to his house since he had a zoom meeting and Charli was just going to hang out in his room or spend time with some of the guys there until Chase was done.

She was in the theater room when Chase came to find her. "You ready Hottie?"

Linking fingers, He grabbed his two boards from his room and they went out to the back patio.
