𝗖𝗛𝗔𝗖𝗛𝗔 𝗖𝗢𝗟𝗟𝗘𝗖𝗧𝗜𝗢𝗡

𝘄𝗵𝘆 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗵𝗲𝗿𝗲

Chase was hesitant to say he was going to Kell's concert afterparty. He finished performing at a festival in LA.  ModSun wanted him to go and so did Iann. He invited Baron and Nessa to go with him. 

He already knew Travis was going to be here and chances are his son as well. He hasn't spoken to them since the news broke about the relationship. How he was foolishly invited as the plus one to the wedding meanwhile he went behind his back to talk to his first love. 

Since then he has been 100% focused on his music, putting all of his mixed feelings about the whole situation into his new album. 

As soon as they walked through the doors, he noted how big the party was. Chase sighed in relief the chances of running into him would be slim. 

He acknowledged industry people he met before. 

"Huddy!" ModSun yelled, holding his hand was Avril Lavigne. 

"Hey, guys." He bro hugged him and one arm hugged Avril. 

"I'm happy you decided to come." 

Chase shrugged, "My boys convinced me. It's been a while since I've seen a lot of these people." 

ModSun's smile slowly disappeared, "Travis actually wanted to talk to you." 

He raised an eyebrow, "Oh yeah? He had three months to say something to me." 

The older musician leaned in closer, "This was too personal to talk over the phone."

"Ok even I'm curious," Baron stated. 

Nessa hit Chase in the arm, "I think you should hear him out. You might get better closure." 

He thought about it for a second before giving in. "Do you know where he's at?" 

ModSun pointed into the crowd. "Over there with Kells." 

"Thanks, man." 

He weaved his way through the crowd. He spotted Travis, drinking with Jaden. 

"Travis! You wanted to talk?" He interrupted. Jaden's forehead wrinkled seeing Nessa behind his taller frame. 

Travis sobered up, standing to beckon him over to a more secluded place. 

Chase bent down to whisper to Nessa. "Obviously you don't want to be around Jaden, I saw Iann go through the kitchen way. I'll meet up with you guys in there." 

Nessa nodded, "Thank you." 

Baron clapped him on the back, "Good luck."

Nessa wandered off to the kitchen as soon as Chase was out of sight. 

"Oh my god! Nessa?" 

She turned once hearing her name. 

Charli was leaning against the counter, a drink in hand. Beside her talking were Iann and Landon. 

"Charli!" She walked over to give her friend a hug. 

"What are you doing here?" I thought you wanted to avoid Jaden?" 

Nessa nodded, I do but I realized we're working in the same industry and if I were going to grow musically then it would be impossible for me to avoid him." 

Charli smiled, "that's awesome to hear. Did you come alone?" 

"I actually came with Baron and Chase." 

Her eyes widened as the smile slipped off her face. 

"Oh...uh...Chase is here?" 

"Mhm. Kells invited him."
