Kyo woke up way before sunrise and jumped into his car. He drove straight to Shingo's house and called him.
"Shingo, are you awake?" Kyo asked.
"Yes!" Shingo exclaimed. "Where are you?"
"Outside," Kyo informed. "Right in your driveway."
Shingo scrambled to his feet and grabbed two duffel bags before heading outside. He saw Kyo's Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross and quickly got in.
"Where's your father?" Kyo asked.
"Still asleep," Shingo said. "The plan's set, right?"
"Yeah," Kyo said. "Now we need to go somewhere and wait till they both wake up.my dad's stuff's in the back."
They went to a park and stopped the car. Shingo got out and stuffed his bag, and his father's bag in the boot.
"How do we bring them in one car?" Shingo questioned. "Is one car even enough?"
"Definitely not," Kyo frowned. "We need to take a taxi. A taxi to spaceship. K' and his team will take care of the rest."
"Good," Shingo sighed. "Yagami is coming too, right?"
"Yeah," Kyo smirked. "K' couldn't resist bringing him along. They're best friends. Our good friends too."
"What about Beni?" Shingo grinned. "You said you'll ask him, but you never told me if he's free."
"He's always free if Aiko is," Kyo laughed. "Alright, you want some breakfast?"
They stopped at a vending machine and bought some Taiyaki and katsudon. Despite coming out of a vending machine, it felt and tasted like it was freshly cooked right in front of them.
As soon as the sub rose, and taxis started showing up, Kyo went home and parked his car in the garage. While he went up to wake his parents, Shingo took the time to book a taxi big enough for his family's and Kyo's.Kyo had a hard time explaining too his father and making him take a shower and get dressed. Saisyu seemed to only want to know what's up, and didn't really want to cooperate.
That was until Shizuka pointed her naginata at him.
"You already packed his things, right?" Shizuka asked her son as soon as Saisyu entered the bathroom.
"Yeah mom, they're in my car," Kyo whispered. "Shingo booked a taxi, and we'll transfer things later."
Shizuka nodded. "I'll get changed too."
"Shower?" Kyo asked, puzzled.
"I woke up early just now and showered without your father's knowledge," Shizuka smirked. "Now run along. I need to get changed."
Kyo nodded and rushed downstairs. He made a beeline for the kitchen and took out a few containers of food from the fridge and stuffed them into his backpack. Most of them were cold delicacies like Hiyashi Chuka, Kuzumochi and Anmitsu. Kyo helped his mother prepare all of this and put them in the fridge while Saisyu was out the day before.
He regretted a little when condensation made the cold containers wet, but knew it would be worth it. He went outside and saw that the taxi has already arrived. He unlocked his car and took out the baggage and loaded them into the taxi. Shingo helped too, and asked the driver to wait for a few minutes.
Shizuka brought a confused Saisyu out and brought him to the taxi.
"Where are we going?" Saisyu asked. "And why are we taking a taxi when we have two cars?"
"Just get in, Dad," Kyo said, pushing Saisyu towards the car. "You'll know soon."
Saisyu begrudgingly got into the car, next to his laughing wife. Shingo and Kyo insisted on sitting in the back row. Shingo then directed the driver to drive over to his house, before heading off to the secluded location where the K' team parked the spaceship. It was a good thing he already keyed those locations into the driver's GPS.
"Shingo, where are we going?" Mr. Yabuki asked, getting into the car, with his grinning wife. "Oi Shingo!"
"Just get in, pop!" Shingo grinned.
"Now to our last destination?" The driver asked.
"Yep!" The two men in the back row exclaimed.
"Where are we even going?!" Saisyu demanded.
"Wait, you don't know too?" Mr. Yabuki asked in surprise.
"Nope," Saisyu shook his head. "Your son came by, then Kyo forced me to get into this taxi."
"That's strange..." Mr. Yabuki said with a frown. "Shingo! What are you planning?"
"You'll see soon, pop!" Shingo exclaimed cheerfully.
"He's not gonna tell you, ya know," Mrs. Yabuki grinned next to him. "He didn't tell me either, though I'm in on this."
"I don't want you breaking the secret, ma," Shingo chuckled. "Anyway, are we there yet?"
"Almost there, sir," the driver said, eyes on the road.
"Good," Kyo sighed, leaning back on the crammed seat.
They arrived at the location and got out of the car. The driver was a little confused at why they were getting out on a lonely place, with baggage in the boot.
"Here, take this money, and don't tell anyone," Kyo said, handing the driver some money.
"But the fare has already been paid!"
"Consider it tips," Kyo stuffed the money into his hand. "Now scram!"
The confused driver promptly got into his car and drove off.
"What was the deal of that?" Saisyu asked, surprised. "And why are we here?"
"Can't you see where we are?" Kyo said, gesturing towards his surroundings. "Wait, where are the others?"
He took his phone out and started calling K'.
"Hello?" K' said as soon as he picked up.
"Where are you guys at?" Kyo asked.
"That's what we're supposed to ask you. Where are you guys at?"
"We're at the field, and we don't see you anywhere."
"What, you're already here?" There was a slight shuffling sound in the background before K' spoke again. "Oh. Yeah, I see you now."
The spaceship soon materialised next to them, and the doors opened, revealing K' and Zayn at the doorway.
"Took ya long enough," K' said, hanging up on his call with Kyo. "Come on in."
"So that's what this was all about," Saisyu shook his head, going towards the spaceship. "Okay, where are we going?"
"We're finally going to the Isle of Eigg," Zayn chuckled. "Come on in guys!"
"Wait, hold on," Mr. Yabuki suddenly said. "Who are these guys? And what the heck is this thing?!"
"Uncle, how else do you think your son came with us to Ireland the last time?" Kyo grinned. "And to all the trips he came with us before that?"
"SHINGOOOO!" Said guy almost jumped out of his skin, trembling.
"Whoa whoa, relax pal," Saisyu said with a chuckle. "He was with all of us. Those boys are our friends too."
"Hi!" Zayn smiled, cheerfully waving his hand at them, much to K's surprise and amusement.
"Yeah, they even came over for Shogatsu!" Kyo added. He turned back to the two men at the doorway and grinned. "Hey fellas!"
"Hey," they both said, with Zayn saying it in a more friendly manner.
They got in and spotted Iori, clad in a black suit, arguing with Benimaru.
"I still don't know why you're here," Iori spat through gritted teeth. "I thought your father's still alive!"
"He is," Benimaru said, equally annoyed.
"Then why are you here instead of celebrating Father's Day with him?!" Iori demanded.
"Oh no, not again..." Kyo groaned, going towards them to intervene. "Guys, can you shut up?! We're here going to celebrate Father's Day, not for a brawl!"
"Okay, then why is he here?" Iori asked, pointing a hand at the blond man. "Instead of celebrating with his father?"
"He's my friend, and he's coming with us," Kyo said, pulling Benimaru towards him.
"Just say the word, Iori, we'll throw him out," K' grinned.
"You'll do nothing of the sort," Maxima stepped in. "Yagami-"
"Iori!" Iori corrected.
"Okay fine, Iori," Maxima sighed. "Let Benimaru come. He's never been to Eigg too, thanks to someone."
Iori looked Benimaru up and down and sighed, finally nodding. "Fine, let him come. But let me tell you this, Beni. You better spend as much time as you can with your father as long as he's still with you. Or else, you're gonna regret it once he's gone."
"Whoa those are some deep words, Iori," Krizalid smirked, clapping slowly.
"I'll call my parents to meet me at the Isle of Eigg," Benimaru finally said.
"No, we're stopping at wherever they are to pick them up," K' said. "What do you say, Zayn?"
"It's on," Zayn smirked. "Tell me where he is."
Benimaru did, and soon, they were flying towards Scotland on their spaceship. The Ikari Warriors were with them too. They wanted to treat Heidern out since he was not only a father figure for Leona, but for all of them as well.
"What's with that outfit anyway?" Kyo asked, seeing how both Iori and Aiko were dressed in black. The latter was even wearing a veiled hat. It finally hit Kyo. "Oh..."
"Yeah, we went to Tsukishima," Iori said. "And visited our family cemetery."
"I'm sorry..." Kyo said.
Iori started laughing. "You're saying it as if we only just lost our father."
Kyo only chuckled.
Before they knew it, they were already at the Isle of Eigg. They got out of the spaceship and booked a few taxis to go to the hotel. Krizalid was still their travel agent though, being the one who booked everything.
"Finally, we're in Scotland," K' sighed as soon as they set foot in his hotel room that he shared with Zayn. "Or else it's Ireland again for us."
"Let's just hope we don't meet any whackos this time," Zayn added, laying down on his bed. "Especially not that whacko..."
"Yeah..." K' agreed. "Let's just enjoy our trip here. It's not like we can relate to the others for the Father's Day celebration they're gonna have in the banquet hall downstairs."
There changed into comfortable clothes and decided to watch tv when they heard a knock on the door adjoining their room with the Yagamis'. K' went over and opened it to see Iori, now changed into a casual, smirking in front of him.
"Not ready yet?" Iori asked, seeing how K' was only wearing a hoodie, even that was because of how cold it was. "Dash, there's only an hour left for the party!"
"It's not like we have a father to celebrate," K' sighed, stepping aside to let his friend in. "Well, I did, but it's not like I can remember much of him, besides the fact that I take after him."
"Still?" Iori shrugged. "Dash, today is about honouring our fathers, not just celebrating with our dads. Our father is dead too, but we can still honour him and his life on Earth, right?"
"I guess you're right," K' sighed. "Zayn, what do you say we go down for the party later?"
"Sure!" Zayn grinned.
"That's more like it," Iori grinned. "We'll wait for you guys at the lobby."
And so, they got dressed and went downstairs. Of course, Krizalid and Maxima were already there, together with the girls from their team. They were more interested in wolfing down the desserts than actually enjoying the party. Well, the food was one of the reasons to enjoy a party, right?
The BOF had a performance on the stage too. But sadly, Terry wasn't with them, so they had to hire another drummer. They knew Rock would've rigged something up for his adoptive father as well.
K' joined in too, as the DJ.
They started off by playing In Spite of One's Age, then played an improvised version of HAL to Bass to Melody. Of course, the bassist had the most fun in this song. Iori's fingers were kinda sore, but he thought it was worth it, considering how fun it was to play that song.
Then they played Sadistic Eyes since Iori insisted that it reminded him of his father a little, and Aiko actually agreed to this fact. They played that too, and eventually played Desert Requiem for Heidern, and he was proud of it.
After that they got lazy and just wired their favourite songs into the PA system and got off the stage to enjoy the party and food instead.
Some got drunk, some had to watch for their drunk friends, and some were just laughing at the situation, snacking on the food.
A great example for the first one would be Krizalid, the second would be Maxima, Zayn and K', and the third one were basically everyone else who were there, besides Kyo and a few more, who were just as blackout drunk. Benimaru and Shingo had to drag Kyo up to his room again.
They still enjoyed their trip to Scotland anyway, and spent the next few days sightseeing around the beautiful island.
