25 March, Bora Bora
Iori woke up bright and early and made his way to the living room. It was still his birthday in Bora Bora, though it was already the next day in Japan. Whatever, it was still his birthday here.
He found Aiko sitting in the living room with Benimaru.
"Where's Honoka?" Iori yawned as he perched himself down on the armchair.
"Still asleep," Aiko said. "Niisan, it's like seven in the morning. Why are you even awake?"
Iori leaned forward, smirking. "I could ask you the same thing."
Benimaru sighed, defeated. "I couldn't sleep so I came over. Imagine this, I'm sharing a room with Kyo."
"Congratulations," Iori snorted. "You have gotten the best."
Benimaru groaned. "Yagami, please. I have to use concealer every day because of him. Because otherwise, I look like a raccoon."
"Aww, that sounds adorable!" Aiko cooed. "My raccoon."
Iori groaned and got up, shaking his head as he made his way towards the front door to go to the deck instead. It was definitely a lot better, peaceful and overlooking the sea. He kinda felt tempted to just walk towards the water and sit on the warm sand. Then again, he was still dressed in a faded blue yukata. Maybe he should go bother Kyo instead.
Just then, he spotted Saiki sauntering towards the beach.
"Oi, Psych!" Iori called, raising a hand.
Saiki grinned and waved back before continuing down the lane.
"What is he even doing at this time of the day?" Iori wondered aloud.
In the end, he retreated into the chalet, waved at his sister and her boyfriend, and made a beeline for the bathroom. When Iori came out, Benimaru was apparently done spending time with Aiko, and was now more interested in bothering him instead.
"Yagami, please, I'm begging you," Benimaru pleaded. "Please, let me move into your room."
Iori shook his head, walking straight to the kitchen instead. He ignored the blond's pleas and opened the fridge to take a chug of milk instead, with Benimaru hovering beside him all the while.
"Move," Iori said, opening the fridge door to return the carton of milk.
Benimaru sighed and dolefully left the room, leaving the redhead to shake his head in annoyance.
"I'm gonna take a walk around the resort to escape Beni's yapping," Iori grumbled as he walked past them to go back to his room, slamming the door shut as soon as he was inside.
Aiko shrugged. "Well, I guess Niisan's back to being himself." She turned to Benimaru and gave him a comforting smile, placing a hand on his shoulder. "Don't worry, he'll come around."
Iori soon came out of his room, wearing a half-buttoned yellow Hawaiian shirt and floral shorts. He told them to let him in once he returned and left.
"Wanna plan Niisan a second birthday party?" Aiko asked. "Poor Niisan, he didn't even celebrate properly yesterday if it wasn't for the cake and food."
"You're right, he was sleeping the whole day," Benimaru agreed, nodding. "Only now is he up on his feet."
Aiko grinned. "Wanna whisk him off to the resort spa?"
Benimaru frowned, then shrugged. "So long as we're getting something other than a foot scrub and aromatherapy massage."
Aiko gasped. "Aromatherapy massage?! They have those?"
"They do," Benimaru nodded. "Though I'm not sure if it's a good idea for me to go again so soon..."
"When did you go?" Aiko asked.
"On Yuki's birthday," Benimaru sighed, shaking his head as he remembered all the chaos that occurred that day. "Yeah, right before the mayhem happened."
Aiko patted his back understandingly. "You need another one, babe. Which is why we're going again."
"Swell," Benimaru shrugged.
"I'll go get Honoka so that we can plan," Aiko said, running off to find her friend. "She can help with this too."

Iori was already at the breakfast cafe when they entered, waving at them to join him.
"Hey, Niisan," Aiko greeted, seating herself beside him. "How was your walk?"
Iori nodded. "Good. How's the food here? This is my first time."
"It's good," Benimaru said. "Really good. You should try the scones."
Iori nodded and followed him to the buffet table.
Aiko grinned and turned to Honoka. "So, you remember the plan?"
Honoka yawned. "Yeah, but did you have to wake me up so early?"
"The early bird gets the worm!" Aiko cheerfully said.
Honoka frowned. "The early worm gets eaten, Aiko. Think about the poor worm as well."
Aiko thought about it and nodded slowly. "Oh, I didn't think about it that way. Worms are actually great, they help with gardening." She frowned. "Mealworms don't deserve credit though. Niisan brought those once for a fish that we had a few years ago, it ate through everything. There was even one in my hand bag. Imagine rummaging in your bag to take your phone out but found a slimy worm on your hand instead. I ended up screaming and running around the shop till it fell off and the shopkeeper bagged it. He said he was taking it home for some reason—I can't imagine what he wanted to do with it—and stuffed it in his backpack." She snorted. "Thing is, he put it in a plastic bag. That thing can eat through that."
"Ohhh yeah!" Honoka added, nodding excitedly. "So remember I went to Mugen Tenshin a few days ago, right? Hayabusa brought his falcon and he fed it those worms too. Slimy little things, I never went near those even though I was excited to see his pet."
K' suddenly cleared his throat. "Why are you filling my head with images of slimy worms when I'm trying to have my breakfast in peace?"
Aiko and Honoka laughed sheepishly.
"Sorry about that, Dash," Honoka chuckled. "It's just that we both have bad experiences with mealworms."
"Yeah, don't make me have a bad experience with my first luxury breakfast here in Bora Bora," K' added, picking his cutlery up again.
Ash suddenly appeared and perched himself beside K' as soon as he pulled his scone towards him. K' paused mid cutting the scone and turned to the French boy, a questioning look on his face. Ash was literally sitting there, his chin resting on his hands as he leaned forward to watch K' as if he was an interesting movie.
Ash straightened himself slightly. "Oh, don't mind me. Just go on with your scone, I just wanna see."
K' shook his head and turned back to his scone, neatly giving it a horizontal cut along the centre before spreading some cream and jam along the cut surface. He placed it back down on the plate before picking up the second piece to do the same thing. Ash then turned to Zayn and saw him doing the same thing as well, even taking his time to enjoy each bite, same with Krizalid, Aiko, Honoka, and the others. The French boy nodded approvingly before proceeding to get up and leave.
K' didn't let him, pulling the back of his coat to make him sit down again. "Alright, Freckles. What's this really about?"
Ash grinned. "Just wanted to see if you know the correct way of eating a scone."
"What makes you think I don't know the correct way of eating a scone?" K' questioned.
"Dash doesn't know the correct way of eating a scone?" Iori said in surprise as he settled himself back on his seat with his plate piled high with sausages and eggs, bacon and beans.
K' smirked. "And you do?"
"Nah, nah, Dash knows perfectly well how to eat a scone," Ash chuckled. "I was just curious since I saw some really... questionable ways scones have been eaten."
"I heard that!" Scott called from his table.
Iori snorted. "I wanna know how it went."
"Yeah, do tell," Benimaru added, grinning.
"Ash, if you do, I will strangle you," Scott shouted again.
Ash totally ignored him and started telling all of them about Scott's unfortunate scone. Scott scowled and continued with his breakfast, meaning to ambush Ash later.
"Anyway, Happy Birthday again, Yagami," Ash wished. "You're having a part two because of time zone and whatnot."
Iori nodded. "Thanks, Ash."
"So what are your plans for today?" Ash asked. "You guys had cake and party yesterday, what about today?"
Iori shrugged. "I don't know, but I wanna enjoy today. Been sleeping the whole day yesterday, and I don't wanna do the same today."
"Good on you, Yagami," Ash grinned, getting up. "Also, Au Revoir, everyone. Notify me if there's anything fun... like a party."
With that, Ash left them and danced away.
"Okay, that was... weird," Zayn remarked, picking up the second half of his scone. "I wanna see if Scott eats his scone like that still."
Iori chuckled. "Zayn, leave that kid alone."
Zayn looked at him in surprise. "Kid? But Iori, he's older than me."
Krizalid started coughing as he laughed. "What makes you think that you're not a kid as well?"
Zayn sighed. "Fine. It's just that, most of my childhood was wasted. I didn't even have any childhood at all."
"Who says, you can always have one," Maxima said. He pointed a hand at Krizalid. "See, take this guy as an example. He's more than ten years older than you, but look at him. Still acting like a child."
Krizalid grinned. "See? I'm a good example!"
"No, you're not," K' added, shaking his head.
"Yes, I am," Krizalid countered.
Benimaru snorted. "In a way, yes, you are, Kriz."
"See, Beni agrees with me," Krizalid proudly said. "I just wanna enjoy after all the terrible things I went through."
Zayn nodded regretfully. "You're right. I'm just glad I have you guys as therapists."
"Yeah, we are all therapists for each other," Iori agreed. "Especially Honoka and Aiko."
"What about me?" Benimaru asked, feeling slightly left out.
Iori patted the blond's back. "Oh, no one can teach patience like you, Beni."
"Is that a good thing?" Benimaru asked, confused. "Because the way you say it kinda suggests the opposite..."
"Think what you like, I can't change that," Iori shrugged. "Anyway, you guys have been here for longer than us, right?"
"Iori, we came with you," K' pointed out.
"Not you, I was referring to this guy," Iori raised his hand above Benimaru's head and pointed his index finger down at him. "Beni, go."
Benimaru shrugged and started getting up with his plate to leave. Iori quickly stopped him. "Beni, seriously. I meant tell us what's fun here."
"Oh, that go," Benimaru relaxed and sat down. "Well, the beach is good. Hiking up the mountain gives us a good view too, then there some really good tearooms, and... oh! There's the spa too."
Iori smirked. "I guess that's where I'll be."
"And we're all going together," Honoka grinned. "How about that?"
Iori shrugged. "Sounds great."
