A nightmare for Beni

Benimaru drove back to the Yagami home and dropped Aiko off.
"Bye, Beni!" Aiko said, giving Benimaru a hug from the passenger seat. "See you tomorrow!"
Benimaru grinned and kissed her forehead, Aiko chuckled and kissed his cheek before leaving the car, waving at him. Benimaru smiled and watched her walk into the house, she dug in her bag for a moment and visibly groaned before ringing the doorbell. The door opened, and her brother towered over her with a confused look. His annoyed face instantly lit up when he saw her. He stepped aside and let her in before glaring straight at the Lamborghini parked in his driveway.
Benimaru felt his gaze burning right into his soul. Iori eventually closed the door, grimacing. Benimaru gulped and sped home as fast as he could. He was glad that he made home in once piece.
He sighed as he sank down on his couch. He took out his phone and saw the message from Kyo.
Kyo: Dude u better watch out
Benimaru raised an eyebrow at that text. He clasped his phone with both hands and typed out a reply.
Beni: Why?
Kyo: Tonight's a full moon
Kyo: Yagami might do something dangerous
Kyo: It's when the Yasakanis receive more power
Beni: Do they turn into werewolves or smth?
Kyo: No
Kyo: It's much worse
Kyo: According to legend
Kyo: This is the time where they would be able see everything through the eyes of the moon
Kyo: They will be watching
Kyo: Watching ur every step
Kyo: Everything...
Benimaru gulped and turned his phone off. He threw it aside and stared at the blank tv screen, eyes wide from shock. He was still processing what Kyo told him.
But it can't be, right? He's been with Aiko on so many full mooned nights. Nothing happened before? And now's not any different.
He snorted and threw his phone aside, making sure it landed on the soft surface of the sofa, and went up to his room to freshen up. He got out of his gleaming gold dress shirt and leather pants, and stepped into the tub of relaxing hot water. He even lit some candles and read an interesting book written by an author named Shasha Meow (sorry, couldn't resist 🤣🤣)
He got up when he was satisfied, and gladly changed into a worn tank top and almost falling apart shorts. It wasn't pretty, but definitely the most comfortable. If anyone saw him, a supermodel, wearing something like that, he'd be all over the Internet.
Benimaru crawled into bed and peacefully drifted off to sleep.

Benimaru POV
I walked around the bustling streets of Shibuya City, making my way to Takeshita Street. I saw the street sign and walked into the famous shopping street.
Instead of being filled with people like usual, it was deserted. The shops were still open, but the street was totally empty!
Well, next to empty. I was relieved to see a guy leaning against a lamppost with his phone. Couldn't see much of his face, though. He was wearing an unzipped hoodie, with the hood covering most of his face.
A low grumbling sound came from my abdomen. When was the last time I ate? I think I should get myself a crepe. There are lots of crepe shops here.
I make my way to one of the shops and looked at the array of artificial crepes displayed in the case. I decided to get myself a coffee ice cream crepe and went to the counter. I told the guy what I wanted and he started preparing for it. Like most crepe sellers, he was wearing a uniform and apron with a newsboy cap, but he topped it off with a white surgical mask.
He rolled up the crepe and topped it off with chopped nuts before handing it to me. I paid and took it, trying to keep from drooling. It looked so tasty, with coffee flavoured iced cream and nuts and caramel chips on top.
The man at the counter looked up and his eyes crinkled up slightly. I don't know why, but they sent shivers down my spine. There's something unsettlingly familiar about those blue eyes...
I turned on my heel and strolled through Harajuku while nibbling on my crepe. I looked around the Lolita shops, and dresses on display made me realise.
Aiko would look cute in those...
I finished my crepe, threw the wrapper into the trash and passed the hooded guy leaning on the lamppost before entering a boutique. There was a cute black hoodie dress with red cat ears on sale. I pictured Aiko wearing it, and realised that it really suited her. I took it and went to the cashier to pay. He was sitting on a black rolling stool, writing something down on a notebook. I cleared my throat and put the hoodie down on the counter.
The man looked up and smirked before putting the notebook and pen down on the counter. He stood up and started scanning the barcode. He looked up at me and smirked before taking the payment.
"For your girlfriend?" He asked in a nasally voice.
"Uh yeah," I said. "How did you know?"
"I know everything, Ojisan," the cashier said, handing me the bag. How old does he think I am? "Have a nice day."
He grinned at me. He was an odd-looking fella with straight hair, high cheekbones and a slight beard. But... his eyes.
They were blue... it wasn't a common eye colour in Japan, but I've seen two people, three including myself, right here in one street.
I left the store and stood on the pavement outside the store. Something's not right here...
I turned to look at the store again, and almost jumped when I saw the hooded guy leaning against the window of the shop. He wasn't looking at his phone this time, rather just standing there with his arms crossed. His face was shadowed, but I could see a clear smirk on the bottom half of his face. I couldn't see the rest of him, besides his hands, since he was wearing a long-sleeved hoodie with a skull-print black shirt underneath.
I ignored him and went to a cafe to relax a little. I sat myself at a table next to the air conditioner and immediately a waiter came up to me and handed me a menu.
"Hi sir, what would you like to have?" He asked in a deep voice.
I browsed through the menu and looked up at the waiter. His notebook was quite large, and he held it up near his face, covering half of it.
"I think I'll have a tiramisu and an espresso," I said. "And a slice of apple pie."
"Good choice, sir," the waiter said and looked down at me, a smile clear in his eyes. "I'll be right back."
He left and went to the counter to prepare the stuff. He shouted the orders to the kitchen and started making the coffee.
I took out my phone and browsed through social media while waiting for the food. The waiter soon appeared with a tray and put the food down on the table. I looked to see if it was the right food, and noticed how muscular his arms were, and his fingers were topped with short but sharp and pointy nails. I couldn't help but stare at them.
"Enjoy your food, mister," the waiter said before leaving with the tray.
I took a sip of the espresso and started to feast on the apple pie. It was really good. But it finished surprisingly fast, though. The bell at the entrance suddenly jingled.
I pulled the tiramisu closer and looked over at the entrance to see who had just came in. To my surprise, it was the hooded guy from the street. His head rolled back slightly when he looked at me, as if he was surprised to see me. He came towards me and sat at the table next to mine.
Is he following me? The waiter went to him and started taking his order. I could hear his voice, and it was rather gruff.
I continued eating my soufflé and soon finished my coffee. I called the waiter and asked for the bill.
"¥5000," the waiter said and put the receipt down in front of me. I took out a five thousand yen note and gave it to him.
"Thank you, sir," the waiter said. He collected the money and waited as I got up to leave. "Have a nice day, sir."
I turned to him and smiled. But... it quickly faded as I recognised the man before me.
IT WAS YAGAMI!
I looked over at the counter and saw a man leaning out of the window from the kitchen. He put a plate down on the counter and looked at me questioningly. That guy was Yagami too.
I quickly ran out of the cafe and stood in the middle of the street. What the heck? Since when did Yagami become a waiter?
And since when did he have a twin?!
I staggered to a nearby bar to get myself a cocktail or something. I don't think I'm drunk, but might as well be drunk. I went to the drinks bar and saw that there was a man sitting there. He was wearing a cap with a black face mask. He was looking at his phone, evidently waiting for his drink to be made. The bartender turned around and handed a cocktail to the other man before turning to me.
He was wearing a typical bartender's suit, with a masquerade mask. He had slicked back red hair.
"Can I get you anything to drink, sir?" He asked me.
I ordered a martini and waited. The other man at the bar turned to me ever so slightly. I feel like he's watching me. I scowled and turned to the other side as soon as my drink was made.
I faced the entrance and drank my martini, letting the cool drink slide down my throat. It was surprisingly entertaining to watch rain suddenly pelt down the street outside. A man quickly ran into the bar, pulling his hood on tighter. It was the man that followed me into the cafe earlier!
He scanned the bar and walked in. His gaze met mine and he stared at me for a second before making his way to the stage. I watched after him, turning around on my barstool. The strange man soon disappeared behind the stage. So he's a performer?
And then I caught sight of the capped man on the other end of the bar. He was done with his drink, and pulled his mask back on. He was still watching me.
"What do you want?" I asked, wanting to know the reason. "Never seen blond hair before?"
The guy shook his head and chuckled. He suddenly raised his hand and took his cap off, letting a tuft of red hair fall over his face. Arashi no Saxophone from KOF '98 started playing out of nowhere. I looked over at the stage and saw a bunch of guys, wearing fedoras pulled low, playing the song on stage, with the hooded guy as the saxophonist.
I looked back at the man in front of me and he slowly took his mask off, his blue eyes never leaving me for even a second. He confirmed what I already knew.
It was Yagami.
"You... weren't you the waiter?!" I blurted out in shock. "How many of you are there?!"
The bartender chuckled. I turned to him as he casually untied his mask. He ran his fingers through his hair with one hand, and took the mask off with his other.
Yagami...
The two Yagamis started laughing at me, hysterically.
I got off the stool and ran away from there as fast as I could. The saxophone music distorted slightly, and the music soon stopped playing, instrument by instrument. I turned towards the stage and watched as all of the musicians removed their hats to reveal red hair and blue eyes. They were all Yagami. The saxophonist jumped off the stage and slowly walked towards me.
He stopped and took his hood off. He was Yagami too.
I couldn't control myself as I screamed and ran out of the bar as fast as I could. I need to get out of here as fast as I can. I ran down the empty street and bumped into someone.
It was the cashier from the Lolita boutique.
"What is it, ojisan?" He asked, smirking. "You seem like you're in a rush."
"The... the bar!" I said, pointing towards it. "All... Yagami! What's going on?!"
The man laughed. "Nonsense..." he doesn't believe me?
"You don't believe me?!" I blurted. "Go see for yourself."
He chuckled again. "Oh I believe you," he said. "But what I find nonsensical is that you don't know what happens around here during the full moon."
"Wha-What do you mean?" I asked, confused. "So you're saying that everyone becomes Yagami during the full moon?! But you're not Yagami!"
The man started laughing like a maniac. He reached for his head and slowly pulled his hair off. He was wearing a wig. His real hair was red.
"We are all Yagami here, besides you, Beni," Yagami said in an eerily slow voice. "You're the odd one here."
He smirked at something behind me. I turned around and saw an army of Yagamis, led by the Yagami with the hoodie.
"We need to change you too, Beni..." hoodie Yagami said with a smirk. "Come join us. You'll become one of us!"
They started nearing me.
"Join us!" All the Yagamis said at once.
I turned around and the Yagami from the Lolita boutique neared me too. I tried to run, but he suddenly caught hold of my neck with both of his hands. His hair covered both of his eyes, and there was blood dripping down the side of his mouth, together with steam.
"Kill..." Yagami growled in a strange voice. "I'll kill you... Beni!"

Third Person POV
Benimaru startled awake and sat up on his bed, panting. He looked around and realised that he was in his room, on his bed.
'It... it was just a dream?' Benimaru thought, relaxing a little. He reached for his phone on the nightstand and realised that it was two in the morning.
"Darn..." Benimaru found himself muttering.
He turned the night lamp on and pulled the blanket off. He crossed his legs and started dialling Kyo's number.
Sure enough, that idiot was still awake. He picked up the phone, sounding more awake than ever.
"Hey Ben," Kyo greeted with a grinning voice. "What's up? You're usually not awake this late."
"I've got a bone to pick with you," Benimaru scowled. "What the heck were those messages about?"
"Which messages?" Kyo asked, sounding confused. "That meme?"
"Full moon, Yagami," was all Benimaru said to make the other man to burst into laughter. "The heck, Kusanagi?"
"Yeah I was drunk," Kyo said with a laugh. "Went out with my cousins just now."
"How did you snap out of it so fast?" Benimaru asked, confused. He didn't sound drunk now, but he certainly did when he was messaging him. "What did you do?"
"Dad gave me something called 'wake up' juice," Kyo snorted. "Don't try it. It doesn't taste good."
"What is that...?" Benimaru asked, surprised. "Such a thing actually exists?"
"Apparently..." Kyo said. He could just about picture him shrugging. "The main ingredient is wasabi... and umeboshi..."
"What?"
"And miso paste..." Kyo continued. "Coffee, matcha powder, nattō, and a raw egg."
Benimaru gagged. "Gross... I don't wanna know more..."
"You wouldn't," Kyo said with a chuckle. "And that wasn't even the mainest ingredient. And that is-"
Benimaru hung up and put the phone down. He shuddered at what Kyo's 'wake up' juice might taste like. He laughed at how stupid he was to believe Kyo's drunk story.
He put his phone back on the nightstand and straightened his legs before pulling his blanket back on. He slowly drifted back to sleep when...
Saxophone music broke out of his backyard.
"DARN YOU, YAGAMI!" Benimaru yelled, scrambling out of bed. He went to the window and yelled. "I didn't do anything this time, you jerk!"
The music instantly stopped. Turns out it wasn't Iori. It was one of Kusabimaru's goons, hired to ruin Benimaru's sleep and get him fired the next day. He was still a little sour that Benimaru managed to get a better job despite being fired from work before that...

A/N: Alright, so this chapter was sorta inspired by a comment from Arashi no Saxophone from KOF '98 lol. Anyway, I hope you enjoy!
