Bora Bora Birthdays (Part 8)

22 March, Shibuya
Aiko sighed as she tried to plan everything out for her brother's birthday. It was just so hard, having to plan a major party without her brother or Benimaru. It was a good thing that the ninjas were planning on celebrating Honoka's birthday at their village
At least the K' team helped, but it was just K' and Zayn for the most part. Krizalid stayed out of it for some reason, but insisted that he was still at their disposal if they ever needed anything.
"Are you sure it's a good idea to just ambush him like that?" Aiko said doubtfully. "Like... what if he launches his flames out on you guys or scratch you up? I know I would."
K' chuckled. "It will be fine, we just need some equipment," he nonchalantly said.
Aiko was concerned now. "What kind of equipment?"
"Mostly bulletproof vests and armoured jackets," Zayn shrugged.
"Hey, if planning for a birthday seems more like preparing for an attack, it's better that we don't go with the plan," Aiko reasoned. "Guys, I still think it's a bad idea. Now, you're gonna look like the SWAT team instead of just random thugs..."
"Fine, then we just wear leather jackets," K' said. "That should be enough."
Aiko sighed. "Don't blame me if anything goes wrong."
Zayn grinned. "Don't worry, we won't. Because there is nothing that could go wrong."
"Yeah!" K' added, nodding.
"Nothing?" Aiko gave them a doubtful frown. "Guys, literally everything can go wrong!"
"Just leave this to us, we'll take care of everything," Zayn assured. "Trust me, it will all go according to plan."
Aiko sighed. "I sure hope so."

25 March, Shibuya, morning
"Why do you never come with me?" Iori complained as he put his tie on in the living room. "You always send me off alone. Won't you come for once?"
Aiko frowned thoughtfully. She knew that the K' team were planning something stupid, and Iori was literally on his way to fall into their trap. Might as well be there to see it.
"You know what, I'll come," she said. "Just give me some time to get ready."
Iori nodded and waited, preparing himself to wait an eternity for her to finish up. To his surprise, she didn't take five minutes.
"I'm ready," Aiko said, straightening her black dress. "We're going to the shrine first, right?"
Iori nodded. "Yeah, and after that we're going to see our family."
Aiko nodded, grabbing her bag. "Let's go."
The two of them got into Iori's car and took off to Tsukishima. There, they went to the shrine that they grew up going to before making their way to the florist. Aiko bought some incense at a nearby shop as well.
"I don't wanna meet them empty handed," Aiko said.
Iori shrugged. "Sure. I usually light cigars for Dad anyway."
Aiko smiled. "I'm just glad that you no longer light one for yourself."
"I'm glad too," Iori chuckled. "Come on."
They went over to their family's resting place and paid their respects, lighting the incense and placing the flowers, then telling them about whatever that went on in their lives, spoke of their encounter to the past.
"We thought that it might not be real, but how else can this be explained?" Iori held onto the Magatama he wore around his neck.
"And the kanzashi," Aiko added. "I left it at home, or I would actually show you."
They updated them about everything that happened as of late, prayed, then left. Aiko was getting a little anxious now, especially since the K' gang had fully planned on ambushing Iori right when he set foot out of the cemetery.
Well, it seemed like they were true to their word since a van suddenly pulled up before them and two men, which Aiko guessed to be K' and Zayn, jumped out and grabbed Iori. One of them sprayed something up Iori's nose, which made him fall limp in an instant, before chucking him into the van. Aiko shook her head as she watched them drive off.
She felt her watch vibrate and looked at it to see a message from K'.
On our way
Where you at?
Aiko gasped and turned to the van that just drove off. If that wasn't the K' team, then who took Iori?
She rummaged in her bag for Iori's car keys since he had given it to her earlier to keep. She unlocked Iori's Subaru Legacy and started pursuing the van, calling K' with the car's system while at it.
