K' and Zayn were ditched yet again. However, this time they had their girlfriends.
"Wait... so Max and Diana are together, what about Foxy and Kriz?" K' asked, confused. "Are they on double dates?"
"I'm honestly not sure," Zayn shrugged. "Foxy and Diana left, and you said Max and Kriz left too?"
"Foxy told me that they went on a grouting," Kula chimed in.
"A what?" K' asked, confused.
Isolde snorted. "She means group outing."
"Yeah, like that's believable," Zayn rolled his eyes. "Foxy never usually dresses up much. Now, she was even wearing a leather jacket!"
"It's not mine, right?" K' frowned, stirring his glass of sugarless tea.
"No..." Isolde shook his head. "I think it was Seirah's. She easily slipped into them, but it looked a little short for her, almost like a short cardigan. Still looks good on her though."
K' nodded thoughtfully, taking his phone out. "I'm gonna call him and ask."
"Dash, what are you doing?!" Zayn gasped.
"Dash, don't!" Isolde exclaimed.
"Ask him to buy sherbet and ask Foxy for honey!" Kula cheerfully exclaimed.
"Kula!" Zayn and Isolde exclaimed in an annoyed tone.
"Okay, fine!" Kula shrugged. "Regular ice cream is fine."
K' snorted and called Krizalid. Zayn made an attempt to yank the phone away, but K' stopped him.
"Chill, I'm only gonna ask him where he is and ask him to go buy cheese," K' smirked.
"Now why does that sound so familiar?" Zayn frowned.
"I used that reason to call him for his birthday," K' grinned, putting his call on speaker. "Alright, keep it down, I'm calling him."
The steady beeps of the ringtone broke through the silence as they eagerly waited for Krizalid to pick up.
"Dash?" Krizalid finally did. "What's up?"
"Where you guys at?" K' asked.
"Umm we're at the mall," Krizalid answered. "Why?"
"Oh, if you're gonna go to Trillion or something, can you buy cheese?" K' smirked.
There was a pause. "Cheese? Why? I thought I opened a fresh pack this morning?"
"Yeah but..." K' quickly thought of a reason. "We're making lasagne. So we're gonna use up the whole thing."
There was a gasp on the other end.
"Guys, Dash is making lasagne!" Krizalid exclaimed, sounding a little far away. "Let's buy cheese!"
"Who's even with you?" K' asked with a chuckle.
"I'm with Max and Diana. Foxy went for a hair treatment."
K' looked up from his phone with a disappointed frown, seeing that everyone around him were mirroring his expression.
"Sure, then," K' tried to not sound bitter. "You guys enjoy. We have enough cheese for now."
They exchanged goodbyes and hung up.
"They're not on double dates," K' scowled. "Foxy is in a salon while this idiot is third-wheeling Max and Diana."
"I have a question," Zayn raised a hand suddenly. "Are we actually gonna make lasagne?"
K' groaned.
"Well, you're the one who said that!" Zayn pointed out. "Dude! Are we actually making lasagne?"
K' sighed and got up, making his way to the kitchen. The others groaned and followed.
So K' started on it while the others sat at the kitchen table and watched, nibbling on Krizalid's leftover butter sandwich crackers.
K' painstakingly started on the lasagne, frowning all the while since his friends didn't even try to help. Well, maybe Kula deserves some credit for taking out the cheese and unwrapping them for him.
Soon, it was put in the oven. K' insisted to bake it on his right hand, with his flame, but his friends stopped him. He begrudgingly placed it in the oven on high.
K's phone suddenly started ringing. He had left it in the living room and had to go all the way to get it, groaning. It was Aiko.
"Hello?" K' answered in the living room.
"Dash!" Aiko exclaimed on the other end. "I need your help!"
"What is it?" K' asked, sitting down on the nearest couch. "Anything important?"
"You bet it is," Aiko chuckled. "I need your help to spy on Niisan's date with Honoka."
K' groaned. "You and your brother are both same... why? Honoka's a good girl, Aiko!"
"Yeah, but still?" Aiko sounded like she was frowning. "I wanna see it with my own eyes."
K' sighed. He remembered the time when he first brought them together. It was just to cheer Iori up on a bad day, but it ended up becoming the start of their romance.
"Fine, come over," K' finally said. "The others are here too and I'm sure they'll only be too happy to come."
"Are the girls there?"
"Only Kula and Isolde."
"Great, I'm coming now, with a disguise."
K' hung up and sighed, going back to the kitchen.
"Who was it?" Kula asked as soon as he entered.
"Aiko wants to spy on her brother's date," K' sighed. "And she wants our help."
Everyone groaned.
"Just when I wanted to have a nice lasagne," Zayn sighed.
The alarm suddenly went off. K' panicked and ran to the oven. It was black with smoke, and it soon covered the whole kitchen. K' opened it and pulled the lasagne pan out with his right hand since it was heat resistant.
The top cheese layer of the lasagne was no longer yellow, but a dark brown instead. K' groaned and dropped it onto the counter.
"Well, so much for lasagne," Isolde sighed.
"What a waste of cheese," Kula frowned.
"What are we gonna tell the others now?" Zayn gulped. "That we finished the cheese to create this?"
K' frowned. "We don't have time to make another. Aiko's on her way."
"It's about time we start getting paid for doing stuff like this," Zayn frowned, his hands swiftly moving around his hair to fix it. "My hair looks okay, right?"
Isolde grinned and ruffled his hair, much to his dismay.
"Yeah, it looks okay," Isolde smiled. "My Zayn looks best with messy hair."
To her surprise, Zayn easily lifted her off the ground. Kula quickly snapped a photo of them, grinning.
The doorbell suddenly rang gaining their attention.
"Hide that!" K' exclaimed, pointing at the lasagne before running to answer the door.
He fixed his hair a little and grinned, opened the door to see Aiko standing there with bags of stuff.
"Hi!" Aiko greeted, stepping past him to enter. "I hope I didn't interrupt anything."
K' closed the door and smiled. "Nah, you didn't. Well, you did interrupt bickering about lasagne, though."
"Lasagne?" Aiko repeated in surprise.
K' quickly shook his head. "It's nothing. You got here pretty quick."
Aiko smiled. "I was actually in the mall, nearby. Got you guys something too."
"Aww, you shouldn't have," K' chuckled, sheepishly rubbing the back of his neck. Though he was still eager to find out what she got them.
Aiko chuckled and went to the coffee table. She took out a pack of beef jerky, butter sandwich crackers, grapes, two tubs of sherbet, and more snacks.
"Sherbet!" Kula exclaimed, running towards the cold treat. Aiko chuckled at how she acknowledged the sherbet before acknowledging her. "Aiko!" She finally did, hugging her.
"Hi!" Aiko laughed. "How are you?"
"I'm fine!" Kula grinned.
Zayn and Isolde soon joined them, grinning. They tried not to look at the tasty snacks strewn on the table and sat down on the couch.
"So what's the plan?" Isolde asked, eyeing the sherbet.
"Spying on Niisan's date," Aiko smirked. "Can you guys help?"
K' shrugged. "Sure. But I don't see why. Honoka's a really nice person."
Aiko just frowned. "Sure and I came with you guys to Ireland. You know, Niisan outright ditched me while he had an adventure with you guys. So I don't know."
K' sighed. "Fine..." he looked at Aiko and frowned when he realised how she was just wearing a frilly top and slacks, not a disguise. "I thought you were coming with a disguise?"
"I did," Aiko chuckled, taking out a paper bag. "I went shopping."
She grinned and opened the bag, revealing a black hoodie and a cap. She even bought a black face mask.
"You're gonna look like a stalker," Isolde smirked.
"Well, how else am I supposed to hide from Niisan?" Aiko frowned. "My hair is too long to hide in a cap, and my face is too noticeable without a mask. Also, I have a very strong aura. It's hard for me to hide out of sight. Niisan is better at sneaking around."
"So I've seen," K' laughed. "No one actually notices him in the tournament, though he's not even hiding."
"I think it's because he usually doesn't have teammates," Kula shrugged. "But his fringe! And flame! Very obvious!"
"Maybe Dash just avoided looking at him," Zayn smirked. "You used to think he was an eyesore or something, right?"
"It was the other way around, idiot," K' frowned. "Yagami thought I was an eyesore. But we were still on good terms, unlike Kyo."
"Yeah, I think I've seen you guys smile at each other once when meeting during one of the tournaments," Kula chimed in. "The two of you are always scowling at Kyo, though."
"Then what about you?" K' argued. "You always hated his flames too, didn't you?"
No one noticed how Aiko was already changed into her disguise, waiting there for them to notice.
Well, they ended up quarrelling, almost going physical. Aiko eventually stepped in.
"Guys, that's enough!" Aiko exclaimed. "Why are you fighting for something so small?"
They looked at her in surprise. She did look like a stalker, as K' had said, and her face was completely hidden behind the cap and mask.
"You're already ready?" Zayn asked in surprise. "That was quick."
"Niisan's going on a date with her in an hour," Aiko informed, taking her mask and cap off. "I was at the mall when he called me and said he'll be out with Honoka, hanging around Shibuya."
The others nodded and started to go to their rooms to change. Kula left so Isolde took the responsibility of putting the sherbet away in the freezer. Aiko put the snacks back into the plastic bag they came from. She just tied it up and put it aside.
This time, they decided to take Foxy's red Nissan Altima since Krizalid's car was far too noticeable, especially since Iori drove it a bunch of times when spying on Aiko and Benimaru's date, and Foxy didn't mind when Zayn quickly asked her about it.
Their disguises were funny too.
Zayn wore a hoodie and a scarf since Iori was too used to seeing him in a cap. Isolde tied her hair up in a high bun and wore sunglasses since it was still daytime, Kula tied her hair into Dutch plaits and wore Seirah's trench coat with sunglasses too.
K', on the other hand...
He ditched the sunglasses, wore brown contacts with false glasses and a black wig before wearing a simple outfit of a denim coat and khaki pants.
The others were surprised to see him leave the room, looking completely different.
"Forget Mee Saye Zero, you're the new Master of Disguises," Zayn laughed. "You could be mistaken for an Indian or Middle Eastern tourist like this!"
"Exactly what I was going for," K' smirked. "I knew I could pull it off because of my burnt skin."
"Way to make use one of NESTS defects," Aiko chuckled. "But I think dark skin looks good on you, especially with your unique white hair. Don't you think so, guys?"
Kula agreed the loudest, making K' turn red a little.
Soon, they were going to Shibuya in Foxy's car. The guys decided to sit at the front to avoid squashing anyone at the back.
