Hey guys! So, this chapter is a request from @LuminousSagaOfficial. This is my first time writing a pirate-themed story, and it was actually quite interesting. I apologise in advance for any errors or mistakes!😅😅
Also, this is the main reason why I haven't been updating so often. I will update more frequently from now on lol.
One more thing, feel free to check out my new KOF book titled The King of Fighters Tournament. That's also another reason why I'm not so active lol. I've been working on the unpublished drafts.

"I'm so glad that you came over for a visit again," Yuki smiled, going towards the visiting pirate with a tray of grilled fish. "I know you love these. It's the Kushinada family's recipe."
Kyo grinned and reaches for the plate. He took a bite of the grilled fish, loving every bite. "It's really good. Thanks, Yuki."
Yuki smiled and sat down next to him. "Your team are coming late, right?"
Kyo nodded. "Yeah. The ship's really broken up. Luckily this island has really good craftsmen."
Yuki nodded proudly. "It's the Dragon Kingdom. The Princess really keeps this island in order."
"She's a good leader," Kyo agreed with a nod. "Whatever, what else do you want to do? We have the whole day to ourselves."
Yuki grinned. "Let's take a walk along the island."
Kyo smiled and got up, holding a hand out to her. "Let's."
Together, they strolled along the sea. They even passed the Sacred Voyage, the ship that Kyo and his crew came in.
Kyo sheepishly hid his face with a hand as they walked past the ship. It didn't do him any good since his crewmates still saw him, shaking their heads.

"Look at him," Quartermaster Iori pointed, frowning. He adjusted his eyepatch slightly over his left eye. "Going on a date with his girlfriend when we're stuck here."
"Well, at least Kyo's actually seeing his girlfriend," Gunner Benimaru smiled, crossing his arms on the ship's guardrail as he watched Kyo and his girlfriend pass. "He's always neglecting her. At least now he's taking care of her now."
"First Mate Kyo!" Sailing Master Shingo exclaimed, waving his arms to get Kyo's attention.
Kyo resorted to giving him a small wave.
"Come back before seven!" Captain Chizuru called next, smiling. "Protect the Kushinada and return her safely to her home!"
Kyo smiled and waved before going towards the town.

"I'm gonna go see if they have beef jerky," Quartermaster K' of the Cay Sailors said as he walked down the gangplank of the ship. He turned around briefly and frowned. "You guys want anything?"
"We're out of meat and fish," Chef Krizalid calls over the guardrail. "And water. See if they have any butter too. Also, can I have some butter biscuits?"
"See if they have sweets?" Captain Maxima calls next.
"All I want is some grapes," Sailing Master Zayn adds. "Isolde says she wants something cold too."
K' nodded and walked down the beach towards the village. It had been a long journey, and it still wasn't over yet. They only just docked at the Dragon Kingdom for a pitstop for the sake of their ship and themselves.
The Quartermaster groaned under the early afternoon sun and made his way towards the market square. It's not like he minded the heat, he didn't like what came with it.
Sweat.
K' grimaced as he wiped the sweat off his light brown forehead. He felt the need to shower right away. He technically had this privilege now since they docked at the port. He really needed one, now that he wanted to get fish. Dried, but that doesn't mean it isn't smelly.
He sighed. He was the Quartermaster, after all. It was his duty to get the food for the crew.
K' made a beeline for the meat shop. "Can I get dried meat and fish, two sacks of each?"
He slammed a small bag of gold on the counter. The butcher nodded and commanded one of his men to go get them from the back. K' waited, watching whatever that was happening in the market square. He frowns at an ignorant mother leaving her child to follow her behind, shaking his head. He turned back to the butcher just in time to see him put two heavy sacks in front of him.
"Thanks, and some beef jerky too?" K' easily slung the sacks over one shoulder. The butcher then handed him a smaller sack of jerked beef. "Alright, thanks."
He fastened the pouch of beef jerky to his waist belt and continued wandering around the market square. Maxima said he wanted some sweets while Isolde said she wanted something cold. K' kept those in mind and walked towards a store with brightly coloured jars of sweets. His next destination.
"Just give me the best sweets you've got," K' sighed. He didn't even like sweets, let alone know what types there were. "And something cold. Ice cream won't do, I need something that would stay cold for longer?"
The shopkeeper nodded and went to the back to get whatever he asked for. K' waited, trying to not suffocate from the overpowering smell of homemade sweets emanating from the back. He could practically taste it, making him feel a little nauseous.
"Mmm..." A voice contrasting the low groan he let out suddenly uttered. K' turned around to see a young girl in a spiceberry and white corset dress. The large black hat she wore was all he needed to know that she was a pirate.
But something about her seemed familiar. She looked a lot like one of his crew members, Isolde. Only, she had strawberry blonde hair rather than the silvery locks the other girl bore.
"Are you the owner?" She asked with innocent blue eyes, bluer compared to his pale ones.
K' shook his head. "I'm not. He's inside, getting something."
The girl nodded and swept her gaze around the shop. She suddenly gave K' a questioning look, as of she wanted to ask him something. "Do you know where the Magic Ball of Wishes is?"
K' looked at her in surprise. "I'm not sure. I've never even heard of it. What do you want with it, kid?"
"Well, I want to wish for an endless amount of candy so I never have to spend a single doubloon on them again," the girl cheerfully stated. "What could be better than endless ice cream and candy."
The thought made K' feel like puking. But he just nodded at her and didn't say anything.
They both turned their heads when a sound of shuffling came. The burly shopkeeper came out and showed K' an array of sweets and cold treats.
"Which one would you like?" The man asked.
"Just give me the one you like best," K' shrugged.
The man nodded and packed a strange green candy. The girl behind him gasped.
"That one's really sour!" The girl exclaimed, gaining the attention of both men. "You actually like that?"
K' turned back to the shopkeeper and frowned. "I thought I said sweet?"
The shopkeeper shrugged. "It's the one I like best."
"Then which one's actually a sweet?" K' asked, glaring at the shopkeeper.
The guy nodded towards a tray of yellow candies. "That's sweet."
The girl rushed over. "That one's sour too!"
K' sighed. "Why can't the idiot captain just do this himself?" He muttered and turned to the girl. "Can you suggest something that's actually sweet? I've never done this before..."
The girl frowned over the trays of candies and lit up. "That one is! Berry flavoured."
"Give me that," K' says, taking out his pouch of gold. "And I need ten of that caramel soda. Give me some butter biscuits too."
The shopkeeper packed everything up for him. K' looked over at the young girl, a slight smile on his face.
"Girl, you want anything, just take it," K' says. "It's on me."
The girl lit up and rushed around, taking whatever she pleased. Her innocent, child-like demeanour made K' smile as he patiently waited for her to choose whatever she wanted.
She eventually returned and put five or six jars of candy on the counter.
"Can I also have some sherbet?" The girl asked with twinkling eyes. The man nodded, much to her joy. "I'll take two gallons!"
K' frowned, his eyes almost popping out of his head. He did offer to buy her anything, but that was only because of the gratitude he had for her help. But this...
"Miss... I don't think I can afford that much..." K' pointed out. "I can treat you to the candy, if you like?"
The girl frowned thoughtfully and nodded. "Okay! I'll pay for the sherbet myself."
K' smiled and handed some gold to the shopkeeper. The girl then took out a pouch of gold coins and put some on the counter too. The shopkeeper looked only too happy to bring out the two gallons of sherbet she asked for. She piled her arms high with candy and sherbet before leaving the store. She didn't even thank K'.
"Hmph..." K' shook his head, taking the stuff as he left the shop, going in the opposite direction as her to a fruit stall. He got some grapes for the Sailing Master, some apples, bananas, dragon fruit, and some pickled and dried fruit to keep them going.
He turned in the direction of the port, heading towards his ship. He sighed, heaving the load against his shoulders as he went up the gangplank.
"Okay, I got everything," K' said, heaving everything down on the wooden flooring of the ship. "The meat, fish, fruit, candy."
"What about clean water?" Krizalid frowns thoughtfully. "The distiller and tank are being cleaned. So no water."
K' groaned. "Can one of you come with me? It's hard to heave everything up the gangplank alone..."
"I'll come," the gigantic captain offered.
"Thanks, Captain," K' says, stretching his arms and shoulders.
They gathered all of their clay flasks and went down the gangplank again. They went towards the town to get a supply of fresh water.
"We don't need so much, right?" K' says as they make their way towards a water pump.
Maxima nodded. "Yeah. Thank goodness we had the distiller installed lately..."
They filled everything up and heaved them back to the port. There were a few ships docked next to theirs and K' couldn't help but wonder which one belonged to the girl he met at the sweet shop.
He just shrugged and make his way up the gangplank, right behind the captain.
"Thanks," Krizalid says before taking a long swig of his water. "Oh, that is delicious..."
"I agree..." Zayn agreed, drinking from his own bottle. "Water may have no taste, but it's delicious."
K' leaned off the guardrail, looking over the sea. The docked ships looked majestic, resting against the jetty of the port. He took a swig of water and turned back to his crewmates. "Don't you guys want to wash up or something?"
The others looked at each other and shrugged.
"Sure," Krizalid said. "We really need one right now."
They packed up a change of clothes and started making their way down the gangplank. The captain threw the gangplank up and closed up the ship so that no one could get in while they're gone.
All of a sudden, a trio of women suddenly leapt in front of them. K' gasped when he saw the girl he met at the candy store. He treated her to some candy, just because of her small help, and this is how she was repaying.
"Blimey!" Krizalid exclaimed in surprise.
"Give us all you've got or we'll cleave you to the brisket," the tallest one says.
"Not on my watch!" Maxima kicks her down and jumps to his stance. He turns to the rest of his crewmates. "Show 'em no quarter, me hearties!"
He didn't even have to say it. Everyone took out their swords and weapons, ready to fight off the three women.
Those weren't the only weapons they had. Everyone had their own powers too.
K' slid down on his legs, sweeping the girl off her feet, and gave her a fiery attack, fiercely attacking her with his sword too. To his surprise, she got onto her feet, her hair now blue, and trapped him in a giant ice cube. It eventually shattered, throwing him to the ground.
K' shivered with cold. He shakily got onto his feet and activated his flames. He sighed gratefully from the warmth radiating from his right hand and ran towards her, his sword in his other hand.
"I treated you to candy and this is how you treat me back?!" K' shouted, crossing swords with her while throwing flame attacks. "Is this how you show your gratitude?"
He grabbed her and hit his elbow against her back, making her fall to the ground with a high-pitched grunt.
Zayn then ran to his aid and made a blood-red flame on his gloved hand. He wanted to attack her, but gasped when he looked at her face. He turned to where Isolde was and noticed that was trying to fight off a long-haired woman with a large cloth wrapped around her think long hair in a striped fashion. Zayn ran towards her and helped her take down the woman. K' in turn pulled the pirate girl up to her feet, knowing what Zayn was thinking, and roughly dragged her towards Isolde.
"Isolde, you know this girl?" K' asked, pushing her forward.
Isolde gasped and ran towards her, tightly gripping her sabre in surprise.
"Ku-Kula?" Isolde said, surprised.
"How do you know my name?" Kula asked, equally surprised.
Isolde slapped her, an icy slap with crystals around her fingers. She suddenly felt her powers growing stronger as she trapped Kula in a similar ice cube.
"You don't even remember your own sister?!" Isolde exclaimed, shattering the ice.
Kula sat up and looked at her in surprise, shivering because of the cold. K' smirked slightly. She just got a taste of her own medicine.
Screaming suddenly broke out in the late afternoon sky, gaining all of their attention.
