A Very Special Christmas: Part One

Iori frowned at his phone, his fingers furiously moving across the keyboard as he exited the house. Aiko placed her duffel bag into the Ford Explorer's boot with K'. She sighed when she realised how her brother was still busily texting on the driveway instead of getting into the car.
"Niisan, come on!" Aiko called. "It's getting later, the traffic is gonna build up soon!"
Iori seemed to realise as he came over to them, taking his backpack off and placing it beside her pink bag.
K' immediately shut the boot and dusted his hands. "Alright, come on. We have Chiba to go to."
Aiko noticed how her brother was still anxiously looking at his phone as they got into the second-row backseat of the car. K' slipped behind the wheel, being the one to drive instead with Maxima riding shotgun.
"We have to pick up Beni first," Aiko said as soon as the car started moving.
Krizalid snorted from the third-row backseat. "Oh yeah, I almost forgot that Earrings is tagging along with us.
"Yep," Aiko chuckled. "But I think earrings actually look good on him." She turned to her brother and saw that he was still texting someone with a deep scowl on his face. "Niisan, is something wrong?"
Iori sighed and lowered his phone. "Snowhead said he and his team don't wanna have that concert in Chiba on Christmas. We can't do it on our own too, since we need more than one guitarist and keyboardist for the songs we'll be playing. What makes it worse is Terry and Athena's gang aren't even coming. So no Kensou and Chin to help too."
Aiko nodded slowly. "Oh, yeah... you're right. Athena sometimes helps me with the other instruments too."
Iori nodded with an exaggerated sigh. "See what I mean? We can't have this concert."
"Well, it's a good thing we haven't made any preparations yet, then," K' added. "That's okay, Iori. We just enjoy this year's Christmas with peace and quiet."
"Yeah, Iori," Maxima added. "You guys have been stressing too much because of your band. It's about time you took a break. Right, Aibou?"
"Right," K' chuckled as he drove. "Alright, so Beni's home, right? What about Kyo? That idiot coming too?"
"I am not sure," Aiko said, rather amused as she took her phone out. "Let me ask Beni."
She texted him and didn't even have to wait for a reply.
"Nope, Kyo isn't coming," Aiko chuckled at her boyfriend's messages. "He isn't. At least not with us. He's coming straight there with Yuki and... Chizuru?"
"Kagura is coming too?" Iori asked in surprise. "What's this, the Sacred Treasures reunion?"
"Seems so," Krizalid chuckled. "But I still prefer Beni compared to Kyo. Shudder to think about going on a road trip with him."
Everyone agreed with his statement. Benimaru was a little more fun to hang out with too.
"Aight," K' chuckled. "Let's go."
Krizalid was glad that the seat was big despite being in the third-row seat. He turned to Zayn, who just sat staring out the window.
"Hey, Zayn," Krizalid called, giving the younger man a light backhand. "You okay?"
Zayn turned to him and sighed. "Why did Isolde have to ditch me?"
The Yagamis turned to them in surprise.
"Isolde ditched you?!" Iori gasped. "What happened, man?"
"She went on holiday without me," Zayn whined. "She, Kula, Foxy, Diana. Seirah too. Do you see any of the other girls?"
Aiko looked around the car and gulped. "Then who am I rooming with?"
Iori snorted. "Don't be silly, Aiko. Honoka is meeting us at the hotel, remember?"
"Oh," Aiko immediately relaxed. "Oh, yeah. I forgot."
They arrived at Benimaru's mansion and saw the blond waiting in the driveway, waving at them as they stopped.
"Hey, guys!" Benimaru cheerfully greeted, holding his black and gold luggage. "Can you open the boot, Dash?"
K' nodded and got out of the car to help. Krizalid grinned and took his seatbelt off before turning around in his seat to face the boot.
Benimaru waited as K' opened the boot and carefully placed his luggage beside Aiko's pink one. Before he could help K' close up, was startled by Krizalid suddenly greeting him.
"HEY, EARRINGS!" Krizalid grinned.
"Argh, you scared me!" Benimaru gasped but laughed. "Anyway, hey Kriz."
Krizalid waved and chuckled before sitting down again. He turned to Zayn and grinned. "Alright, that was fun."
Zayn gave him the slightest of smiles before raising his gloved hand and activating the hologram of a picture he took with Isolde. Krizalid sighed and fastened his seatbelt, turning his attention to Benimaru as he climbed in beside Aiko.
"Aiko!" Benimaru greeted his girlfriend with a hug, earning a secret smile from Iori.
"Beni!" Aiko smiled as she snuggled closer to him.
Iori chuckled, feeling glad that he wasn't in the middle of them.
