Terry and Rock suddenly found themselves in a dojo-like place.
"What is this place?" Rock asked, looking around. "Terry?"
"Oh no..." Terry recognised the place.
The sound of hyoshigi was suddenly heard.
"Terry, what's happening?" Rock definitely did not like the sound of that.
"It's him..." Terry said, looking around for the source.
"Uhh... who?" Rock gulped.
Soy Sauce for Geese started playing.
"It's the otaku of Japanese culture," Terry concluded. Rock didn't have to ask more.
"I've been waiting!" A distorted voice called.
Rock started sweating. "It's... it's him? Terry!"
"I know, we need to get out of here..."
"No!" Rock said, much to his surprise. "I need to know why he's bothering us now. I need to know why he scared our friends. They had nothing to do with him!"
A dark silhouette stepped in front of them. The room became brighter and they soon saw Geese. But how horrible he looked. His skin was a strange shade of purplish-grey, his eyes were glowing red and his hair was white.
"Terry, he's been decomposed!" Rock couldn't help but laugh.
"It's the only way to manifest into a nightmare," Geese said in a distorted voice.
"Why?" Terry frowned.
Geese sighed. "I tried to tell your friends something, but before I could, they were either scared stiff, jolted awake, or jumping to conclusions. One of them even tried flirting with me!"
They thought for a moment and realised it was pretty true. Scott was so scared, he actually tried climbing off the couch to run away. And then there was Ash. In a desperate move to wake up, he pulled Saiki's hair so hard that he almost plucked an entire lock off. Then Mai. She mistook him for Andy, then tried fighting him, but failed miserably when she was thrown onto the bed.
"So what are you trying to tell us, then?" Terry crossed his arms and smirked.
Rock rolled his eyes. "Terry, I don't think he understands words."
And with that, he charged towards Geese and screamed, "Raging Storm!"
Geese was thrown back by the swirling attack. Rock leapt back to his feet, still in his fighting stance. Terry went to him and put a hand on his shoulder.
"Rock, no," Terry shook his head. "We should hear him out. What if he's trying to tell us something important?"
Rock got out of his stance and went towards Geese, who got back up with no difficulty. "What is it that you want to tell us?"
"I had a guesthouse here in The Bahamas," Geese explained.
"Yeah, so?" Rock said, exasperated. "I don't want anything to do with it."
"Bogard, why is he like you?" Geese asked, turning to Terry. "Always jumping to conclusions before I finish."
"It's not his fault, it's because of you. How much I pleaded for your help when Mom was dying! All you did was brush me off. She died that same night, you know that?!"
"Rock, let him talk..." Terry sighed.
Rock frowned at Terry. "Terry, let me finish first," he turned back to Geese. "If there was anyone else who would understand how I felt when Mom passed, it would be you. Yet, you did the exact same thing your father did to you, short of fleeing the country and having another family of your own."
Nightmare Geese was speechless with his outburst. "He's right... I felt helpless. Despite my efforts to save her, she still died out of starvation and poor health. My father did nothing to help us. Rather, he abandoned us for another woman. All I wanted to do was kill him."
"Then why did you do the same thing to us?!" Rock blurted out. "I was much younger than you too! How can a seven-year-old go fend for himself and his mom?"
"I... look, I regret everything I did, but now, I need to tell you something very important. Kain lives in my guesthouse now."
Rock groaned. "Oh great, another whacko uncle. First Krauser, now this?"
"I know, that idiot didn't budge even when I tried scaring him in his nightmare," Geese admitted with a frown. "Also, I'm not asking you to go make peace with Kain, that's entirely up to you. I want you to get something from there. Something that belongs to you. Something that used to be Marie's."
"What is it?" Rock asked, slightly surprised.
"Whatever it is, I don't think Kain would allow us to have it," Terry added.
"I don't think it's gonna work," Rock shook his head, turning around to face Terry. "He's gonna ask me to join forces with him whenever he sees me. Terry, I can't do that! I have my own dreams!"
"There is one way," Geese said, much to their surprise. "Rock, you take after your mother's side. You and Kain look very alike."
Rock's eyes widened. "Are you telling me to impersonate him?"
"It's one of the only ways," Geese shrugged. "If you don't wanna do that, then your only choice is to go and ask him directly, or just break in, risk getting caught and manipulated."
"He can still be caught and manipulated if he impersonates him too, ya know," Terry pointed out. "You must've hit your head real bad. That's why you're a nutcase even when you're dead."
"Wouldn't you cherish something of your father's?" Geese asked, going towards Terry. "I know how much you love Jeff's gloves. You still wear them sometimes, don't you?"
Terry sighed. "I think Rock should decide for himself." He gave the younger man a nudge. "What do you say, Rock?"
"We're going," Rock said, determined. "Where is this house?"
Geese let out a distorted chuckle. "It is me, but is one. What is it?"
Rock scowled. "If you want to tell us something, please make it clear. No need for the cheesy riddles. As it is, you already ruined our vacation with your stupid nightmares."
Geese sighed. "Fine. It's at the north of the Goose River. You're gonna need a boat. The prize is in the attic."
"Oh great, now there's that," Rock groaned. "If I find that whatever you're saying is nothing but a wild goose chase, I'm spitting on your grave every day for the rest of my life."
"I think you mean wild Geese chase," Terry smirked.
Geese frowned and fired a dark Double Reppukken, each hitting the two men.
And then they woke up, finding themselves back in the living room, covered in cold sweat.
"Terry, I got a very weird dream," Rock said, turning to his adoptive father in the dark. "It was about Geese! You were there too."
"Rock, I don't think it was just a dream," Terry frowned. "I mean, it was a dream, but I think he really does want you to retrieve whatever belonged to your mother."
Rock sighed. "What time is it?"
"You wanna go now?" Terry asked, surprised.
Rock reached for his phone on the table and looked at the time. To his surprise, it was nearly seven. He got off the couch and went towards the floor-length window, which was now hidden behind thick curtains. He separated the curtains and to his surprise, it was fairly bright outside.
"It's morning?" Terry asked in surprise.
"Yeah," Rock said, opening the curtains slightly. "Come on, I want to get this done with."
"You can borrow Andy's outfit," Terry suggested. "I think he brought his Kain costume with him."
Rock nodded and went to the room that the brothers shared. He grabbed a few things and went towards the bathroom to shower. Terry went to wake his brother.
"Ninja, we've got a new mission on our hands."
