They sped back to the mansion as fast as they could and heaved a sigh of relief.
"Do you think he chased us?" Rock asked, pulling his wig off as soon as he sank down on the sofa.
"I don't think so," Andy said. "No one were following us."
"Let's see what's in the box," Terry said, putting the box down on the ground. He motioned for Rock to come over. "Rock, you do the honest."
Rock took off the tailcoat and tossed it aside before going over to the chest. It was surprising how casual the outfit looked without the tailcoat. All Kain usually wore under it was a black turtleneck. Rock looked a lot like himself now too.
He sat down in front of it and slowly opened it, not knowing what to expect.
"Kain once told me that Mom survived the illness," Rock said, hesitating to open the chest. "I... I didn't know if I should believe him, but I did."
"Well, even if he really was telling the truth, he was still trying to manipulate you," Terry pointed out. "Maybe she is, I don't know."
"But she died in my arms..." Rock remembered the tragic day of his childhood.
"What did Kain actually tell you?" Andy asked, leaning forward on the sofa.
"He said he knew my mother is alive," Rock frowned. "But thing is, he only just said he knew she was alive. Not where she was. Maybe he just felt that way? For all I know, he may have said that just to get me to join him."
Andy shrugged. "You may never know. Kain may have brought her back. Maybe that chest contains a clue to where she might be?"
Rock turned back to the box in front of him. He slowly unlatched it and opened it carefully. He looked at the contents inside it.
"What is it?" Terry asked, scooting closer to see.
Rock pulled out a locket. He opened it and saw the faces of his younger self and Geese inside it.
"Her locket," Rock said, handing it to Terry. He dug deeper into the chest and pulled out a few pictures. "I've never seen these pictures before."
He stopped short when he came to one. It was a picture of his mother with another woman. They were standing on a bridge, overlooking the sea during sunset on a windy day. They seemed to be quite close too, like best friends. Rock looked closely at the other woman, but her face was obscured by her light brown hair flying in the wind.
"Terry, look at this," Rock said, handing the picture to Terry. "Is this South Town Bridge?"
Terry looked at it and thoughtfully nodded. "It is... very near to Geese Tower."
He handed it back to Rock, who looked at it with a frown. "Any idea who this woman is?"
Terry shook his head. "I might, if this chick had tied her hair."
Rock nodded thoughtfully. "Her hair is covering her face. But that's Mom, alright."
"When was that picture taken?" Andy asked from the couch.
"I'm not sure," Rock said, frowning as he scanned the photo for a date. He eventually flipped it around to see if there was anything at the back, but found nothing.
"I think it was taken shortly before she died," Rock sighed, putting it back into the box. "Let's see what else in here..."
He took out Marie's things one by one, walking down memory lane as he did. Most of the things brought him a sense of nostalgia.
"So... were those nightmares worth it?" Terry smirked when Rock put everything back into the box, the slightest of smiles on his face.
Rock looked up at him before going back to the chest, his smile faded. "He didn't have to scare our friends. What did poor Scott do?"
"So that monster was actually your dad..." Scott came in with Ash. "He could've told me, right?"
"Well, according to him, you didn't let him speak," Terry smirked. "He said you were scared stiff."
"Which is true, considering you did try to climb off the couch..." Andy pointed out with a shrug.
"And someone decided to be slapped awake by pulling my hair," Saiki walked in with his favourite Summer Berries yoghurt ice cream. "How was he supposed to convey his message over to you?"
"He's got a point," Terry pointed out with a smirk. "The only reason why he managed to tell the two of us was because we actually listened."
Rock shook his head, closing the chest. "No, Terry. It's because you asked me to hear him out."
"He fired a Raging Storm at him," Terry laughed. "In the nightmare. Also, Geese came with soundtrack."
"I would like that soundtrack if it wasn't his," Rock grimaced, standing up with the chest. "Terry, can I put this in your room until we go home?"
"Sure," Terry shrugged. "Anyway, what do you guys wanna do after this?"
"I feel like we should really do something together, all of us," Rock said. "After all, this is a vacation, for my birthday at that."
They spent the rest of the day fishing, since Joe insisted upon it. Well, Mai and Mary had other plans, and somehow talked their boyfriends into giving them piggyback rides.
Anton had joined them too, and Andy was trying to keep away from him as best as he could, but girls on his and his brother's backs were laughing together, forcing him to actually stay close to Terry.
And Anton.
"Aaah!" Andy whimpered when Anton's tail touched his leg.
"Andy chill!" Terry chuckled. "It's just Anton! He won't bite you!"
"He's well trained, Andy," Mary added. "He won't bite friends."
Andy sighed, but still kept his distance from him.
Joe, on the other hand, frowned as he waited for a fish to tug at his line.
'These blondies are enjoying themselves with their girls,' Joe thought. 'Where's my blondie?"
Well, she soon came, eating cream puffs.
"Where's your brother?" Joe asked, turning the handle of his fishing rod slightly.
"I'm not really sure," Lilly shrugged. "I think he's out with Billie."
"How can Billy be out with- oh wait, never mind..." Joe chuckled. "Gotta admit, it's a little confusing that they both have the same name."
Lilly chuckled. "I say it's kinda cute. She likes eggs too."
Lilly grabbed the fishing rod next to Joe and put some bait on the hook before tossing it into the water. Something started tugging at Joe's line. He smirked and furiously spun the handle of the fishing line. Something started tugging at Lilly's too. She laughed and took a step back, spinning the handle as she did. Something leapt out of the water, and the couple fell back. Turns out, they had caught each other's fishing line.
They both started laughing as they tossed their newly-baited lures back into the water. Billy and his girlfriend were at the beach bar, drinking some Sky Juice. (I find this name pretty funny as a Malaysian because here, Sky Juice literally means plain water. But in The Bahamas, it's a type of cocktail lol.)
Billie was trying to keep her boyfriend from getting drunk, making sure he doesn't drink more than two glasses of the exotic cocktail.
"I think that's enough, Billy," Billie frowned, pulling his arm. "We're going home tomorrow, and I don't want you to end up with a hangover."
Billy agreed. "Yeah, you're right. We better order something else."
They ended up ordering cranberry club sodas, drinking the cold drink as they watched the sunset together. The nightmares were finally over, and they finally got to enjoy their vacation though it was their last night there.

Everyone packed up and went to the Andros International Airport after returning the rental cars. They checked their baggage in and split up to have a quick meal in the airport restaurants before the flight.
Terry, Mary, Rock, and the Pattons went to a fast-food restaurant and ordered a few burgers and fries before sitting down at a booth big enough for the five of them.
All of a sudden, Rock felt a tap on his shoulder. He turned around and was surprised to see Kain standing there with his wife.
"You... what do you want?" Rock frowned.
Kain smirked. "Just because you looked like my twin yesterday, that doesn't mean I didn't see through your disguise."
Rock frowned when he remembered the Double Reppukken he fired as a distraction while escaping.
"Okay, you caught me, congratulations," Rock said, turned back to his burger on the table.
"Rock..." Kain called again. Rock frowned and turned back to him. "You forgot something when you came for your mother's things yesterday."
Rock's frown turned into a look of surprise. He watched as Kain took out a small wooden box and put it on the table in front of Rock.
"It was your mother's prized possession," Kain smiled. "Open it."
Rock wiped his hands on a piece of tissue and opened the box. Inside it, was a deck of poker cards. They all had a different backing, each a strange pattern.
"What's this?" Rock asked. "Why is the backing like this?"
"That's what you have to find out," Kain smirked. He shifted from one foot to another and motioned to his wife. "Let's go, honey."
"Now I know why you called me Auntie yesterday," the Latina grinned, waving at Rock. "See you in the future, Rock."
"Or in the past," Rock added.
His aunt looked at him in surprise before leaving with Kain.
"Did you just pull out another Marty McFly on her?" Scott asked, amused.
"No, it was Doc Brown," Rock smirked, turning back to the rest, closing the box in his hand. "Doc said that, remember?"
Scott smirked as he remembered the scene. "Yeah, you're right."
Terry snorted. "I like how you keep making Back to the Future references with her."
"Bet she didn't even watch the movie," Andy added with a grin. "She doesn't seem to understand what you said."
"Never mind, let it boggle her mind a bit," Rock smirked. "Serve her right for chasing me yesterday."
Mary snorted, giving Anton a chicken nugget. "I'm not really sure what happened yesterday, but judging by the story you guys told me, it was pretty funny."
Rock agreed. "And scary. Imagine an unknown woman chasing you."
"She's your aunt," Mary pointed out.
"I didn't know this yesterday," Rock countered.
He put the box that Kain gave him away in his laptop bag. He didn't really trust the airport with his laptop, so he decided to bring it with him in his carry-on.
They finished eating and shopped around a bit before boarding the plane. They felt so good when they finally landed in South Town. Wolfgang and the Bernsteins flew directly back to Germany while Ash and the gang flew back to Paris.
"Finally, home!" Rock groaned, sinking down on his favourite couch. "It was a fun holiday, but that idiot just had to destroy it."
Terry nodded in agreement. "He even bullied poor Scott for no reason."
"And got Saiki blamed because of it," Andy added with a sigh. "He asked us one hundred popsicles worth of money."
"Wow, that's a lot..." Rock chuckled. "Who paid more? You or Mai?"
"Mai, because she insisted," Andy grinned. "I paid less than half."
Everyone had resumed their normal lives, going to school and going to work. Terry found that Iori managed to get them a new gig in South Town itself and set off to perform with the rest of his band.
No one knew about the mystery that was about to unfold in the future.

Hey guys! Alright, this series took longer than expected. I'm not sure if I should make an entire novel out of the extras or just continue here. Also, I just found a new possibility in the plot, and that would require a new series. I wouldn't be doing it yet since I have other plans for now...
Anyways, I hope you enjoy it!
