Honoka walked up to the Yagami home with a grin. She held a bouquet of bacon roses for Iori because she knew that he wouldn't like the cheesy 'romantic' stuff.
Just as she was about to ring the doorbell, she heard the loud sound of a sports car. Honoka turned around to see a man with long blond hair walking up the path. He looked surprised to see the pink-haired girl standing on the porch, but then grinned.
"Hey there," Benimaru said, walking up to her. "What's a beautiful girl like you doing out here?"
"Umm...?" Honoka uttered, confused. "Who are you?"
"Oh, my girlfriend lives here," Benimaru said. Then he noticed the bacon roses in her hand. "Wait a sec... are you...?"
"Yes, I'm Iori's girlfriend," Honoka almost deadpanned, grinning. "Are you here for his sister?"
'Geez, how did Yagami snag such a cute girl?' Benimaru thought, surprised. 'Oh well. As long as he doesn't disturb me...'
Honoka snickered and rang the doorbell. A few seconds passed, followed by a yawn from the other side.
Iori opened the door, wearing a dressing gown, and with a major case of bed head. The first thing he saw was Benimaru, since Honoka was much too short for him to spot at first glance.
"What are you doing here?" Iori growled.
Benimaru gulped. He didn't know why, but for some reason nowadays, he was quite scared of Iori. It was probably because Iori happened to be his girlfriend's overprotective brother, and as we all know, that's the guy that boyfriends fear most.
"H-Hey Yagami," Benimaru said, trying to cover his shock. "Whatcha doing?"
Iori glowered at him when suddenly someone else cleared their throat. Iori looked at the source and saw Honoka waiting there for him.
"Honoka?" Iori said confused. "What are you doing here?"
"Happy Valentine's Day!" Honoka wished cheerfully. She handed the bouquet to him and smiled. Iori took it and his mouth started watering at the smell of his favourite bacon. "I knew you'd like them."
"So that's why you're here," Iori said, looking up at Benimaru with an annoyed smirk. "Well, I guess you should come in..."
Honoka skipped off behind Iori and Benimaru heaved a sigh of relief before walking in.
"Where's Aiko?" Honoka asked. "I see she has... a bit of a boyfriend situation here..."
"I'll go wake her..." Iori said, annoyed.
He knocked on Aiko's door and heard a groan.
"Aiko?" Iori knocked again. "Open up!"
Aiko opened the door, her hair a big mane of a mess. Iori slightly jumped when he saw her.
"What is it, Niisan?" Aiko asked, scratching her eye. "What time is it...?"
"It's eight," Iori said, annoyed. "Your boyfriend has come to see you."
Aiko's eyes widened and she slammed the door with a shriek. Iori rolled his eyes and went back to the living room.
"She's getting ready," Iori said. Then he noticed the strange flowers among the roses in Benimaru's bouquet. "What flowers are those?"
"Oh, these aren't flowers," Benimaru said with a grin. "They're strawberries covered in chocolate!"
"Ugh..." Iori said, disgusted. He actually liked strawberries, even Aiko, but from Benimaru...
Aiko soon came out, well dressed, to greet Benimaru.
"Happy Valentine's Day!" Benimaru greeted with a grin. "I got you some chocolate-covered strawberry roses!"
"Bacon roses for Niisan and chocolate-covered strawberry roses for me," Aiko chuckled. "Anyway, thanks, Beni."
"You free tonight?" Benimaru asked.
"Uh... sure!" Aiko said. "Tonight sounds great!"
"Great!" Benimaru said cheerfully. "See you later, beautiful!"
Then he spotted Iori's scowl and promptly left.
Aiko chuckled and closed the front door. Honoka suddenly whipped out a box. She flourished it in Iori's face.
"Happy Valentine's Day!" Honoka said cheerfully.
She opened the box and revealed a neat arrangement of chocolates. Iori smiled and thanked her.
"Shoot, that reminds me!" Aiko said suddenly. "I forgot to make him chocolates!"
She ran to the kitchen and wondered what she should do.
"Just buy some, Aiko!" Honoka called after her. "There's some really good handmade ones sold at Choko!"
"Oh yeah, I forgot about that place!" Aiko said. "I'm gonna go right now!"
Iori frowned as he watched her take her car keys and head for the garage. He sighed as he remembered how they used to exchange gifts for Valentine's Day before.
"What is it, Iori?" Honoka asked, seeing how he looked.
"It's nothing," Iori quickly said. "Hey you wait here, I'll go get ready."
Honoka cheered as he went off to the bathroom to shower.Aiko went off to Choko and started to choose the variety of chocolates.
She saw a box with very colourful ones, some were even gold in colour. She looked at the price and perked up. They were on discount for Valentine's Day!
She took a box of it and started running to the cashier.
But then paused.
Aiko saw another red heart-shaped box of chocolates. She looked closely at the box and saw that it was filled with beautifully decorated dark and white chocolates.
"Should I get that for Niisan?" Aiko thought. "But then... I don't know if I have enough money..."
She was left to wonder if she should buy it or not.Iori brought Honoka to a nice cozy cafe.
"So is this my treat for you," Iori said with a smile. "Order what you want."
Honoka's eyes lit up as she looked at the menu. But then she stopped short.
'No, I shouldn't order too much,' Honoka thought. 'It isn't nice to overeat on Valentine's Day.'
"I think I'll have some ice cream chocolate waffles," Honoka said. "And an iced lemon tea."
"I'll have a meat pie, a mushroom soup and some cream puffs," Iori said, eyeing Honoka from the corner of his eye. "And a hot mocha latte."
When the food arrived, Iori handed the cream puffs to Honoka.
"Huh?" Honoka said, confused. "But, Iori, I didn't order this..."
"Just take it..." Iori said with a smile. "I know how much you like that. And besides, I saw how you eyed in on the menu, but dismissed the thought."
Honoka grinned and ate the cream puffs. She offered one to Iori, but he refused.
But she didn't let him.
"Aww take it, Iori!" Honoka said, her ruby eyes bulging. "Pleeeaaase?"
Iori finally did and saw how happy she was. He gave her some his food in return.Benimaru on the other hand, took Aiko to Tokyo Skytree for a date.
"This place is really nice," Aiko said, walking around Tokyo Solamachi with Benimaru. "Thanks, Beni!"
Benimaru was actually wondering if he was gonna get any chocolates from her.
But he just smiled and took her out shopping. Aiko decided to go easy on the stuff, because she didn't think it would be nice to just go crazy on the stuff.
Not now, at least. She didn't want him to think she was a gold digger.
And Benimaru was surprised. Most of his ex-girlfriends would go berserk at the sight of free expensive stuff.
"Are you hungry?" Benimaru asked when they left a boutique.
"Wait first," Aiko said. "I wanna go one more round."
Benimaru was growing bored. He just followed her around the store, staring at his phone, and maybe bumping into one or two shelves.
But before he knew it, Aiko was already done paying.
"Beni?" Aiko called. "Beni!"
Benimaru looked up from his phone and saw that Aiko was waiting for him with a new bag of stuff.
"Eh? You already paid?" Benimaru asked, surprised.
"Yep!" Aiko said. "I thought you said you were hungry?"
Benimaru agreed too, and took her up to the Skytree Cafe.
They sat at a table where they could see the view of Tokyo and ordered some food.
The waiter put down two glasses of sparkling water, since Aiko refused the alcohol. Benimaru didn't mind, since he liked it all the same. Especially since the girl he liked was right in front of him during Valentine's Day.
Aiko decided to gift her chocolates to him now.
"Happy Valentine's Day, Beni!" Aiko said, cheerfully holding out the chocolates to him. "I really liked the strawberry roses you gave me earlier!"
Benimaru smirked.
"Thank you," Benimaru said in a musical tone, followed by popping a rose out of nowhere. "I love you."
Aiko smiled and took it.
'Nothing else for me?' Aiko thought, slightly annoyed. 'Oh well, I guess he already got me lots of stuff. I guess I'll just give it to him...'
"I got you something else too," Aiko said, taking out another box.
She gave it to him and he looked at it in surprise. It was a pair of studded diamond-shaped earrings.
"T-This is for me?" Benimaru asked in surprise. "You actually got this for me?"
"...yeah?" Aiko said, confused. "Do you like them?"
"Oh thank you, Aiko!" Benimaru exclaimed, much to her surprise. "You're the best girlfriend ever!"
Aiko smiled, satisfied with what she did.Iori returned home late after taking Honoka out for dinner, and strolling in the moonlight. He sighed as he saw that his sister wasn't at home.
Or so he thought.
Iori was hanging his coat on the rack when Aiko suddenly cleared her throat. He turned around and saw that Aiko was standing there with her hands behind her back.
"Oh Aiko!" Iori greeted sheepishly. "You're back!"
Iori asked her to wait a second and took out a brown box of chocolates, and a pink heart choker.
Aiko looked surprised.
She took out a red heart-shaped box of chocolates, and a red crescent choker. They laughed at each other for the similarity of their gifts.
They then watched a movie together with their cats.
