"Finally, we're here!" Kula exclaimed, getting out of the car with K'. She gasped at the snow-covered mountain and the beautiful wooden chalets. "Oh my gosh! Look at all the snow!"
Kula looked so happy seeing all the snow. Isolde joined in too. K' and Zayn just stood, watching them enjoy themselves in the snow.
"What's it like having a cryomancer as a girlfriend?" Krizalid suddenly chimed in, appearing between them.
"Epic," Zayn smiled. "And... heart-warming..."
"Fun," K' added. "And joyful."
Krizalid shrugged. "I wouldn't know. I don't even have a girlfriend."
The younger men glared at him.
"Then get one, idiot!" They both exclaimed together, much to his surprise.
Krizalid just sighed and walked away, pulling his hood on.
"So he did bring that gaudy coat," Zayn sighed. "Dash, you're his roommate. Why didn't you stop him?"
"I did!" K' exclaimed to his defence. "He must've snuck it in when I wasn't looking!"
"But I'm having a lot of questions now..." Zayn frowned thoughtfully. "We're all wearing kimonos. He's even wearing a haori. How the heck did he squeeze all of those layers under that trench coat?"
"Beats me," K' shrugged. He turned to look at Krizalid, who was leaning against the back of K's car for some reason. "Sometimes I wonder how he's really older than us..."
"And sometimes I wonder if we'd end up like him in the future," Zayn gulped. "Especially you, Dash... he's a hundred percent aged clone of you..."
"Then you?"
"I'm half Kyo, remember?"
"Yeah, so you think it's better to be half Kyo than fully me?" K' gave him a knowing smirk.
Zayn thought about it. He'd rather be like Krizalid than Kyo. At least Krizalid was smarter and more mature when it came to certain things. Kyo's much worse...
"Yeah, I guess you're right..." Zayn sighed. "So I guess I'd have to be as unlike as Kyo as possible.."
Krizalid suddenly called to them. "Oi! You guys just wanna stand there and talk? Don't wanna check in?!"
K' chuckled and put an arm around Zayn. "Come on, you're already a lot better than Kyo."
They called their girlfriends and went to Krizalid to follow him into the lobby to check in.
"Hi, we have a reservation under Krizalid Flame?" Krizalid said, handing the booking details to the receptionist, together with his identification. "We have eleven guests and two cars? We booked one chalet."
"Ah yes, you're the one that requested three single beds in the master bedroom instead of the usual king-size bed?" The receptionist asked, looking at the booking details.
"Yes, that's right," Krizalid nodded.
"Okay, just a minute," the receptionist bowed slightly and started rummaging in the key cabinet for the keys. She handed Krizalid a key ring and smiled. "These are the keys. Enjoy your stay, sir!"
She nodded at the rest too. They smiled back and returned to their cars.n
"Done check in?" Iori leaned out of his window and asked.
"Yep," K' nodded. "Let's go."
"What number is our chalet?" Benimaru asked, leaning out of the window on his side.
"Ten," Krizalid said, looking at the house number on the keys. "Let's go."
They drove around the resort compound and finally found their chalet. It was a rustic wooden bungalow whose roof was coated with thick snow. It was beautiful. Krizalid unlocked the chalet and they all went in, carrying their baggage. They all stood at the doorway, staring at the interior in awe.
"Wow!" Iori exclaimed. "Who's idea was it to book here? It's incredible!"
"Yours truly," Krizalid said proudly. Zayn cleared his throat. So did K'. Krizalid sighed. "Right... actually it was Zayn. Dash found the details, and I just booked it..."
"That's what I thought," Iori snorted. "Always trying to get credit, huh?"
Krizalid made a face at him before taking his coat off. Turns out, he did actually wear the trench coat on top of his haori.
"Is there a fireplace?" Zayn asked, looking around as he put his and Isolde's bags down. "It's really cold out here..."
"I don't feel anything," Krizalid shrugged.
Zayn rolled his eyes. "I'm not the one wearing a full set kimono complete with haori and hakama."
"Plus that hooded trench coat," K' added with a smirk, leaning against the dining table.
"Fine..." Krizalid sighed.
"The fireplace is over there," Honoka pointed at the corner. Zayn immediately rushed to light it up with his flame. But to his surprise, Iori had already done that. "Thanks, Iori! That feels a lot nicer..."
Iori blew the reddish flame off his finger and smirked. Zayn snorted and went to help Isolde put her luggage in the room she's gonna share with Kula.
Foxy, on the other hand, tied her two pigtails together at the back before grabbing her bulging baggage.
"Where's my room?" Foxy asked, trying to blow her fringe off her face. "Darn this hair..."
"You're sharing with me, Foxy," Seirah smiled, pulling her.
"Oh!" Foxy nodded, following her.
Aiko pulled Honoka's arm. "Let's see what our room looks like, Bestie!"
Benimaru frowned. "Wait... so if Aiko is sharing with Yagami's girl... then I'm sharing with...?" Long fingers slowly curled around his right shoulder. "Oh darn..."
Iori started laughing maniacally. "Yes again, Beni."
Benimaru sighed and let himself be dragged to his room by the redhead.
