Ash yawned and turned over on the couch to face the television. He caught sight of a masculine figure with long hair standing in front of the tv as soon as his eyes adjusted to the dark lighting of the room.
"Monsieur Futaba?" Ash called sleepily. "What are you doing here now?"
Glowing red eyes materialised on the figure's face, making Ash yelp in surprise. He sat up and looked over at the couch adjacent to his. To Ash's surprise, his ancestor slept soundly. He could even see his hair glistening in the dim light.
"Psych!" Ash called. "Oi! Saiki!"
His ancestor did not even budge. Ash suddenly remembered how Adalene told them that Hotaru was fast asleep in her dream while in reality, she was actually trying to wake her.
He turned towards the silhouette and snarled. "Who the heck are you and why are you terrorising us?"
The figure let out a menacing laugh in reply. Ash grimaced and stood up. He leapt towards the shadow and landed on its shoulders. To his horror, he went right through it and fell on the carpet. The mysterious being laughed again.
"Why do you only laugh, you dork?!" Ash hissed through gritted teeth. "Who are you?! What do you want with us?!"
"Come on," the demonic voice said, much to his surprise.
"What?!" Ash exclaimed. He went towards Saiki and pulled his hair.
Ash felt a slap on his face, and the next thing he knew, Saiki was glaring at him, the room brightly lit and everyone in the chalet gathered around him.
"What was that for?" Saiki bellowed, rubbing his head. "Ash, what happened to you?"
"It was the nightmare," Ash said. "The same nightmare."
"What did it do?" Adalene asked.
"Nothing!" Ash answered, rather surprised. "I tried jumping onto its shoulders but I fell straight through! And then it spoke..."
"It spoke?" Elisabeth asked in surprise. "What did it say?"
Ash frowned thoughtfully. "It sounded like 'come on,' but I don't know for sure. His voice was distorted."
"That sounds scary..." Hotaru shuddered.
"It is," Adalene agreed.
"But what's the point of pulling my hair?" Saiki suddenly chimed in, holding his head. "You almost tore it off my scalp!"
Ash started laughing. "It was the only way to wake you!"
Saiki looked confused. "Ash, what do you mean? I was awake the whole time you pulled my hair. Only you were asleep. You only woke up when I smacked you."
"At least I was jolted out of the nightmare," Ash shrugged with a smirk.
Saiki frowned. "You owe me a head massage."
"And a manicure," Ash smirked.
"Oh, great..." Saiki rolled his eyes, looking at his nails. "Ash, the last time did not even chip. What's in nowadays' nail polish, anyway?"
"It's gel," Ash smirked. "It will last you six months, but only looks good for a week since nail grows."
"Whatever," Saiki rolled his eyes, going back to his couch. "Was it our 'evil relative' again?"
Ash shook his head. "Nope."
"Sure?" Saiki raised an eyebrow.
Ash shook his head. "I'm telling you, it wasn't."
Saiki smirked. "Well, then."
"Alright, show's over," Ash brought his legs up on the couch. "Imma sleep."
Everyone shrugged and started leaving.
"How are you so relaxed after such a a nightmare?" Saiki asked, turning the lights off.
"Because I know that weirdo is a coward," Ash said. "Why must I be scared of him?"
"Good point," Saiki nodded, going towards his couch. "Anyway, sleep. We also need to find out who the heck it is that's been terrorising our holiday."
"I'm with ya on that one," Ash agreed. "Bonsoir, Psych."
"I'm not really sure what that means, but sure," Saiki shrugged. "Goodnight."
Ash snorted and got into a more comfortable position.

"It wasn't Saiki," Ash said, suddenly appearing behind Andy and Mai. "It was something else. I saw it last night."
"Well, at least you didn't scream," Terry smirked.
"Well, I would've if I didn't act fast and pull Saiki's hair," Ash smirked.
"You... what?" Andy asked, confused.
Ash pulled a chair and joined them. "In the dream, I could still see Saiki fast asleep. He actually wasn't, and he was trying to wake me at that. So I pulled his hair, he slapped me!"
"And you woke up?" Mai asked.
"Yeah!" Ash nodded excitedly. "But the weirdo spoke to me."
"What did he say?" Terry asked, leaning forward eagerly.
There was an exaggerated silence as Ash thought.
"Come on," Ash finally said. "That's what he said."
"Come on, come on!" A group of chorus singers suddenly appeared out of nowhere. "You have to come on!"
"Who are those people?" Ash asked, watching them cheerfully sing as they danced in a line. "They literally appeared out of nowhere!"
"You've got to come on," there was a lead singer too, wearing a colourful Hawaiian shirt. "Oh baby, you have to come on!"
"Where did they even come from?" Ash asked in surprise.
"Don't ask..." Andy shook his head. "They came from the resort's bistro. And now they're here."
"Why?" Ash asked. He turned towards the singers. "Hi, sir? Could you like... back away a little?"
"Back away..." the singers chorused, moving away.
"We're backing awaaaaaaay!" The lead singer sang.
They went away and decided to bother the Bernsteins instead.
"What the heck?" Ash shook his head. "Why are they even doing this?"
Terry shrugged. "Been doing this in the bistro and bar since the first day. And now they're here."
"Oh great..." Ash sighed. "Let's just hope they don't go carolling to the chalets too. Anyway, yeah. That's what happened."
"Who is it, anyway?" Mary frowned, spooning some of her scrambled eggs. "Why is he terrorising our group like this?"
"Terrorising indeed..." Andy agreed with a frown. "We need to go ask the receptionist if this has ever happened before."
"Yeah, I'm with ya on that one," Terry agreed.
"I'll come too," Saiki came towards them. "I wanna know who's doing this. I got the blame, after all."
"I'm sorry..." Mai sighed. "It really did look like you."
"It did not," Ash shook his head. "Psych is taller, and his hair is poofier."
Saiki frowned. "I don't know why it gets blown out like that when I awaken that form. But yeah. I get what you mean."
