Super Holiday Special: Part 3

"So... why are you doing this?" Kyo asked, sipping some of the tea that Rose offered them.
Rose shrugged. "It was Dad's idea. Says he's planning a surprise for all of you or something."
"What kinda surprise?" Athena asked with a frown.
"Ruining your Christmas, apparently," Rose simply stated. "By the way, Bao's a very good boy. Didn't complain one bit despite being kidnapped."
Bao beamed.
"You gave him hot milk, didn't you..." Kensou sighed.
"Yep," Rose chuckled.
"But why?" Kyo chimed in suddenly. "Why is your father trying to ruin our Christmas? I thought he was reformed or something?"
"Yeah, we even helped him lots," Ash added. "Betty and I are the ones that let him live in our place, despite him being a little annoying. You know, he once finished two whole bottles of Betty's expensive Château Divin red wine?"
Rose sighed. "I know. That's why he wants to do this."
Everyone looked at each other.
"You mean... your father's way of thanking is... ruining Christmas?" Yuki asked in surprise.
Rose giggled. Athena's phone started ringing with an online call.
"It's Kaoru," Athena said, seeing the girl's face light up the phone screen. She got up and attended the call outside. "Hello?"
"Athena, where are you guys at?" Kaoru asked.
"We're in the hotel, and we already found Bao," Athena sighed. "He's safe and sound, having hot milk with Rose."
"Oh!" The two girls on the other end laughed.
"Also, we have news," Kaoru said. "Big news."
"What is it?" Athena asked eagerly.
"Well... our Rugal Santa Claus left us a big sack of gifts..." Momoko said, sounding a little far away. "Must be expensive stuff..."
"Like what?" Athena asked, walking down the corridor.
"Well..." Kaoru said. "They're all wrapped, and it says here to only be opened on Christmas."
"There's so much, all labelled too," Momoko added.
"There's some for the others too," Kaoru said. "For everyone! As in... our whole gang"
"Wow!" Athena exclaimed in surprise.
"We're booking a cab to go back to the hotel," Momoko said. "I think it's a little unsafe to wait for you here with all of this."
Athena nodded. "Better. Text me once you're back, okay?"
The two girls agreed and hung up. Athena chuckled and went back to the Bernsteins' room, smiling.
"What did they say?" Kensou asked. "Another ridiculous clue?"
Rose smiled. "Nope. Daddy left you guys a bunch of Christmas gifts, Santa style."
Everyone looked at her in surprise, then at Athena.
"It's true," Athena chuckled. "That's what Momoko and Kaoru told me."
They were all confused, but collected Bao and waited in the hotel lobby for Rugal and Adel.
"So..." Kyo confronted them as soon as they came in. "You guys kidnapped Bao?"
Rugal shrugged. "Maybe? Also, how did you find me here?"
Kyo handed him the hotel receipt. "You dropped this?"
Rugal sighed.
"How did you know it was us?" Adel asked in surprise.
Kyo handed him his earring.
"I should've known..." Adel sighed.
Honoka gasped, suddenly remembering something.
"What?" Kyo asked, confused.
"We left the others just like that in the mall!" Honoka groaned. "What will they say?"
Kyo, Yuki, Shingo, Kanako, Honoka, and Kula excused themselves and ran out of the hotel, jumping into the car again. Kyo drove straight to the mall and parked in the parking lot, in a spot next to K's rented Ford Escape.
They got out and started running towards the lift lobby. Kyo pressed the button to go up. The centre lift rapidly descended to the basement and dinged before opening.
To their surprise, Iori, Aiko, Benimaru, and K' stepped out, each holding shopping bags and a drink.
"Oh, you guys are done?" Benimaru asked, stepping forward with his things. "Kyo, we'll be going in Yagami's car, if that's okay with you. You guys go in your car."
Kyo shrugged. "Okay?"
They went home and went straight to their rooms.
"I can't believe that they didn't even notice us missing," Kyo sighed, unlocking the room he and Shingo shared. "They didn't even bother to call?"
Shingo shrugged. "Probably too busy with their movie or something."
The two of them decided to sneak next door, the room that Benimaru and Iori were forced to share again since their girlfriends insisted on sharing together, and see what they were doing.
To their surprise, they were wrapping Christmas presents for Aiko and Honoka.
"You're only wrapping gifts now?!" Shingo asked in shock.
The two men instantly shushed them.
"Quiet down, they're next door," Benimaru frowned, pointing his thumb to the door adjoining their room to the girls'.
Kyo snorted. "That's some really last-minute shopping, guys..."
Iori shrugged. "I couldn't shop, what with Aiko always sneaking into my room to tell me some story."
"What about you?" Kyo asked, turning to Benimaru instead. "You live with no one, don't you?"
Benimaru grinned sheepishly. "Forgot..."
They ended up leaving the room since they seemed to hide something under their blankets, evidently gifts that were meant for them.
