The next morning, I woke up, got dressed and was out of the common room quicker than ever before.

I didn't want to stay back and chitchat with Adriana or anyone else in that dorm, so I set my direction for the Great Hall for some breakfast, with my books all gathered under my arm.

I had muggle studies first thing after breakfast, two whole hours which was going to be exhausting but it was fine.

As I reached the Great Hall, Naomi was there waiting, leaning against the wall, but a smile spread on her lips as she saw me and she pushed herself off the wall.

"Good morning Miss Weasley." She grinned. "I hope you didn't get into too much trouble with Mr Silverberry last night."

"My uncle? No." I chuckled. "Well... honestly, I don't know if he's that mad at me. He's usually the fun uncle instead of the up-tight one so I bet he just had an off night."

Naomi hummed.

"He's kind of hot, you know..."

"My uncle?" I frowned. "Disgusting."

"Excuse me, Sabrina Magdalena Silverberry-Weasley." I heard my uncle say and Naomi snickered while I turned to face him. "Be careful with your words, yeah? Remember that your mum's brother managed to pull me."

My uncle grinned at me as he continued making his way into the Great Hall.

"Anyway—" I breathed. "...I'm starving."

I walked towards the Great Hall and Naomi followed behind. She joined me at the Gryffindor table and while she grabbed herself some food, I took a look at my books for this year.

"What classes do you take?" I asked while going through my book for muggle studies.

"Uh— study of ancient runes, advanced Arithmancy studies and magical theory." She said. "Nothing else than that."

"Yeah? What are you planning after Hogwarts?" I asked.

"I want to be an Arithmancer," she told me. "Go more into depth with the whole studies of Arithmancy."

I looked at her and closed my book, putting them all next to me on the bench before getting myself some cereal.

"What about you?" She asked. "Any dreams?"

"Nope." I shook my head. "That's why I'm taking ten NEWTs... to keep my options open."

"Ten? Christ, girl... I could not do that."

I looked at her for a second but was quickly distracted as my eyes landed on Hannah who entered the Great Hall, holding hands with James.

"Maybe you should relax." Naomi chuckled. "You are gripping that spoon like you have a death wish."

"I do."

"Oh—"

I looked at Naomi to see her looking in the direction of Hannah and James, then she looked at me and smiled.

"In love, are we?"

"I'm not— it's— she's dating my cousin." I said. "Which is..."

I shrugged.

"They weren't public last year. I only found out this summer and a lot of things has happened. We've kissed... twice, and now she's back with him even though he knows we've kissed. It's all very complicated."

Naomi inhaled sharply.

"So to put it in a simple way... she's messing with you just for the fun of it?"
