While Naomi and I were fighting, the door to my room opened and we both looked at my mum who stood there.

"Sabrina, downstairs... now." She told me, gesturing for me to follow, and I had no time to hesitate because I didn't want to upset her further.

When we got to the kitchen, there was more people than I had expected.

Dad was leaning against the kitchen island, a hand against his mouth. He looked thoughtful, staring at the floor.

Uncle Fred was next to him, aunt Blake making tea in the background.

Uncle Marco and uncle William sat at the table, and even Aunt Charlotte was here, sitting across from William, and next to the chair I could only guess was for me.

Eli and Mia stood together by the kitchen counter and all eyes were on me when I entered, following behind my mum.

Alec was here too, staring into the fridge for some food.

I stared at the ground, stopping when mum did.

"Sit down, Bree." Mum instructed, and I did, folding my arms over my chest.

"Whose clothes are you wearing?" Was dad's first question, but I didn't answer.

"Tomas'." Alec answered. "I found her there. You know how he's a drug dealer? She paid him with money... and with her body."

My head shot up.

"What? No I fucking didn't!"

"Well, it sort of looks that way, doesn't it?" He asked, and I scoffed. "I show up at a flat that is full of drugs, and there you are, sleeping in his bed, wearing his clothes."

I stood up.

"Alright... first of all, my sex life is none of your business, and second of all... why is everyone here?"

"Why do you think?" Mum asked. "You scared the living shit out of us, Sabrina. We called everyone and some are still out looking for you. We didn't know whether or not you were dead or alive. You were so desperate for drugs that you might as well have overdosed on something and ended up dead in a ditch! But instead you were with Tomas in his flat, sleeping with him for drugs."

"I didn't sleep with him for drugs!" I yelled. "I slept with him because—"

I sighed.

"It's fucking stupid. I was high."

"You were high?" She asked. "Was he high?"

I shrugged and sunk back into my seat.

"Why does it matter."

Mum walked over to Blake to grab a cup of tea, shaking her head and then Aunt Charlotte nudged me with her elbow.

"If he wasn't, that's considered rape." She said, and I frowned, shaking my head.

"Wasn't rape. It was consensual."

"Yeah, but if you were high, you were unable to consent to anything." She explained to me, her voice calm and her eyes looking at mine.

Her eyes were serious and I knew she meant it but the thought alone made me feel uncomfortable.

Mum downed her tea and then she stormed out of the kitchen, wiping her cheeks as if she was crying.

Was she crying?

"Fred, can you please..." dad gestured towards the door mum walked through, and uncle Fred followed after her.

"Bina..." uncle Marco slid his phone across the table to me and I picked it up to look at the website he was on.
