Detention...
I hated it, though I was pretty used to it.
My uncle was the teacher supervising the detention and he had made sure that I sat in one end of the room and Naomi in the other.
I was sending daggers with my eyes and I was imagining them hitting my uncle right in the face.
Annoying arse bitch... giving me detention. Well, he wasn't exactly the one giving me detention but he's the one supervising it and splitting Naomi and I up.
"Sabrina I know you're trying to kill me with your eyes right now." Uncle Marco said without looking up from whatever he was doing on his phone.
"How come you're allowed a phone and we aren't?" I asked.
He looked at me, with a smug smile.
"It may have something to do with me being a teacher and you being a student."
I rolled my eyes.
"Don't roll your eyes at me, young lady. Don't make me tell on you to your mother. You know I'll do it."
I simply stared at him until he went back to looking at his phone.
I then looked at Naomi who looked at me with raised eyebrows and we both chuckled.
Then the door to the classroom barged open and I turned to see Filch holding Theo by the collar.
Uncle Marco sighed.
"Got another one for you, Mr Partridge." Filch said and my uncle stood up.
"It's Silverberry, but thank you... Theo, come sit at the front."
Filch let go of Theo who smiled at me before walking past me to walk over and take a seat.
I looked at Filch and as he looked at me, he growled lowly.
I smiled widely and wiggled my fingers at him and he hurried to close the door.
"Look, the freak is here." Theo said as he walked past Naomi.
"Look, the guy who cries when he gets hit by a girl is here."
"I didn't cry!"
"Theodore!" Uncle Marco snapped. "Sit... down!"
Theo scoffed and flipped Naomi off as he walked over to sit down.
"Kiss my brown lesbian arse." She responded and sucked on her middle finger before flipping him off.
"Why in the world did I become a teacher?" Uncle Marco said with a sigh. "I was working with wands... and now I'm stuck here, having to babysit three teenagers."
"You're literally my dad. It's your job to look after me." Theo said with a laugh.
"And as your niece and goddaughter, I'm also your responsibility." I said and raised a hand.
"And as your niece's friend-with-benefits, I'd like to think I'm your responsibility as well." Naomi joked and I immediately broke into a fit of laughter when I saw my uncles face.
"Thank you, Miss Barracus."
"You're very welcome Mr Silverberry."
"Alright, be quiet... all three of you. I don't get to go home to my husband and the rest of my kids until you have been quiet for two hours."
After those two hours, my uncle let us go but asked me to stay behind.
On the way out, Naomi winked at me.
