I had demanded to see Naomi's body.

Dad walked with me while mum was with my daughter.

"Do you want me to come in with you?" He asked when we reached the door that led into the room where she was.

I nodded, cracking my knuckles as the auror showed us inside of the room.

"I'm gonna unzip the bag, and you can have your goodbye." He told me, walking over to the table in the middle where a black body bag laid.

I nodded slowly, staying close to my dad as we approached the table.

"Is her family aware that she's..." dad said, but didn't say the actual word.

"We've contacted them, yes. Her grandparents and her brother are coming in to see her with their own eyes. To get some sort of confirmation."

The auror unzipped the bag and pushed the sides a little to reveal the face. I stepped forward, looking down and expecting to see my girlfriend.

But it wasn't Naomi.

It was Emma.

"That's not Naomi." My dad said and looked at the auror. "This isn't Naomi Barracus."

"What?" The auror asked. "Are you sure?"

"That's Emma." I said, staring at the pale face. "She... she's my biological twin sister. I—"

I looked up.

"Emma Brown?" The auror asked me. "No... Emma Brown is on the fifth floor."

"What are you talking about?!" I raised my voice. "This is Emma! Where is Naomi?!"

The auror looked confused. He walked down to the end of the table and picked up a clipboard that hung on the side.

"Naomi Barracus. But... Naomi Barracus is of Indian descent, and this woman is mixed but neither one of her parents were Indian." He said, taking off the clipboard. "There's been some sort of mistake... Naomi Barracus is in a hospital bed on the fifth floor."

I stared at him for a moment, before I ran.

"Sabrina!" Dad shouted, but I ran out of the room and towards the elevator. The second I got inside, I pushed the bottom again and again and again until the doors finally shut.

Naomi is alive.

I counted each floor, nervously walking back and forth inside of the elevator. I closed and opened my hands, shaking them from time to time.

The second the doors open, I sprinted out of there, and looked for her in every single room.

It was only big rooms up here, with five to ten people laying on each.

When I found her, I completely froze. She was sleeping, and a healer stood by her, a tray of potions.

The healer looked at me and saw the way I stared at Naomi.

"Are you family?" She asked me.

"I— she's not Emma." I said quietly. "Her name is Naomi."

"I'm sorry?"

"There's been a mixup." I said, looking at the healer. "Her name is Naomi Barracus. Emma Brown is dead. Naomi Barracus is alive and this is her."

The healer looked around, before taking the clipboard to look at the paper.

"I'm her girlfriend." I said. "Her name is Naomi Barracus."

I approached the bed, looking down at Naomi, but I was too scared to touch her.

"Has she been awake?"

"We just got her home from Ghana." The healer told me. "She's been awake but we can't get much out of her. She did mumble something about the name Naomi, but something must've gotten mixed up along the way. I'm going to go see if we can get it fixed right away, and then I'll be back to give her some potions."

She offered me a smile, and I repaid it before staring down at Naomi again.

"I thought you were dead..." I whispered, hesitating before grabbing her hand. I watched her hand.

Her nails were fucked up. She had obviously spent a lot time biting them.

"I love you so much." I whispered, wiping my cheeks. I sat down on the chair close to the bed, keeping her hand in mine.

-

I had fallen asleep with my head against the bed, but I woke up when I felt my dad's hand brush against my hair.

I looked up, and he offered me a smile.

"She really is alive, huh?"

I nodded and looked at Naomi.

"I'm gonna go inform your mother." Dad said and leaned down to kiss my head. "Are you going to be okay?"

"I'll be fine." I whispered, and dad nodded before walking away.

Shortly after, the healer showed.

"We've fixed everything in our system." She told me, putting a new clipboard on the bed. "Now, you said you're her girlfriend?"

"Yes."

"Then I should inform you that she did hit her head and she fractured her skull which is what these potions are for." She said and walked to the tray. "One is to heal it, the other is to get rid of the concussion, and the last is supposed to wake her up."

"Okay." I nodded, keeping Naomi's hand in mine as the healer took the first potion and supported Naomi's head as she poured it into her mouth.

"That's to heal the fracture." She told me, before she continued with the two other potions.

After the last one, Naomi woke up. Her eyes fluttered a little before her eyes focused on the sharp light on the ceiling.

I wanted to cry, but I kept it in, waiting for her to notice me.

"Hi Naomi." The healer smiled when Naomi turned her head to look at her. "Nice seeing you awake. How're you feeling?"

Naomi went to pull her hand up, but then she noticed someone held it, and she turned to look at me.

Her eyes widened slightly.

"Sabrina." Her voice broke and it was hoarse.

"Hi." I whispered, while she brought her other hand up to her throat. "Are you thirsty?"

She nodded.

"I'll get you some water." The healer said as she left.

I rubbed my thumb over Naomi's hand, watching her face and the way her eyes scanned over my face.

"I've missed you." She whispered, and this time I couldn't keep the tears back. "Don't cry, please. Breena..."

She moved a little, before lifting the duvet, gesturing for me to join her, so I joined her on the bed, and put my head on her shoulder.

She put the duvet over me as well, resting her head on mine.

"I thought you were dead." I whispered as Naomi laced her fingers with mine.

"It started to feel like it." She said. "What did he do to you? Was he just trying to get you back or..."

"I don't know." I shrugged. "I don't want to talk about it."

"Okay." She whispered. "I'm sorry I couldn't get you out."

"I'm sorry I'm the reason you were put in that situation."
