It was time to go back to Hogwarts.
I was packing my things and we were leaving for the station in less than ten minutes. As usual I was packing in the last possible moment.
I was kind of nervous to go back. I hadn't talked to Adriana for weeks. I talked to Theo almost every day and nothing had changed there but Adriana was...
I didn't even know.
"Bina!" My dads voice called from downstairs before I heard steps on the stairs. "Have you packed?"
He stepped into my room and sighed when he saw that I had just begun.
"Why don't we just apparate?" I asked. "It's easier, it's faster..."
"You're right, it is easier and faster but you know what your mother thinks on the topic." He said.
"Yeah." I breathed. "We need to fit in in the neighbourhood. The muggles will start to wonder if we don't use the vehicles. Plus, I find it therapeutic to drive."
I rolled my eyes.
"I don't want to pack. It's boring."
My dad laughed, causing me to frown as I turned to look at him.
"You definitely do not have your mum's brain." He said and tapped the side of my head.
"I'm adopted."
"Right... well what I'm trying to say, Bina... is that you're dumb."
I raised my eyebrows.
"Is that your way of being a supportive dad?" I asked.
Dad ignored me and pointed at my wand which laid on my nightstand.
"You're forgetting that magic exists." He said. "If you're too tired to pack, use your wand. Wingardium Leviosa, darling."
He patted my shoulder as he walked towards the door and stopped to look back at me.
"Five minutes, Bina. I'll be waiting in the car."
"Five minutes?!" I exclaimed. "I can't get ready in five minutes! I won't be back until Christmas!"
Dad didn't answer. He continued out of my room and I groaned loudly before grabbing my wand and using Wingardium Leviosa on my stuff as I sat on my bed.
When I finished packing, I used the same spell to get all of my stuff downstairs, placing it by the door.
"Mum?!" I called, seeing her instantly walk into the foyer from the reception room.
"Leaving?" She asked with a faint smile, opening her arms to hug me. "I'm sorry I can't come along and wave goodbye."
"That's fine." I said as I hugged her. "I know how important those meetings are."
"They are." She sighed and pulled away. "Not more important than you, but if I don't close this deal tonight, I can't open a third in Tokyo."
I nodded.
"I get it." I said. "I'm not upset about it, mum. I promise."
"Okay." She smiled. "Write me tomorrow so that I know you've settled back in."
I nodded and went to open the door when mum stopped me.
"Have you said goodbye to Alec?"
"No need." I hurried to say. "I talked to him last night."
I grabbed my trunk in one hand, my backpack in the other and walked down the steps and towards the car that dad had parked in front of the house.
"Sabrina!" Mum called as she followed me outside.
