Warning: drug overdose
Once again, I was helping dad and Uncle Fred in the shop after my shift with mum.
They always made me restock because they didn't trust me with customer service so here I was, restocking some shelves near the window that showed Diagon Alley.
Aunt Blake had come home from work and was currently leaning against the shelves while talking to me and giving me advice on the Hannah situation.
"Kick her between the legs, that's what I'd do." She told me with a scoff.
Hannah wasn't at work today. She had called in sick so Uncle Fred was currently behind the register.
"I'm not gonna kick her between the legs."
"Do you want revenge or not?"
"Who said anything about revenge?" I frowned. "I don't want revenge. I just—"
I sighed.
"I just want her."
"Oh Bree." Blake sighed. "Dear little Bree. Don't go chasing after a bitch like that. In my opinion, you should tell James the truth, keep to the truth and it's his choice whether he wants to believe you or not. You should both just drop her and move on. You can both find better girls out there."
I shrugged and pulled my lips to one side before handing her the now empty box.
"I'll put this away in the stockroom." She told me before pointing a finger at me. "And you young lady... think about what I told you."
I rolled my eyes and flipped her off which only made her smile as she made her way to the stockroom.
Though on her way out there, she made sure to lean over the counter and kiss Fred.
I turned back and just as I went to walk down the ladder, my eyes landed on the group walking by outside.
Alec and his friends...
This was the first time I had seen Alec for days. Four days to be exact. He hadn't come home.
But why was he—
My eyes went wide as I saw Alec's face. He had a black eye and his lip looked like it had been split. He seemed scared, walking behind the with his shoulders pulled up to his ears, his hands pushed into the pocket of his hoodie.
It was pouring down and he and his friends were all drained.
Ethan threatened to kill him the next time he saw him. Did he beat him up? He fucking beat him up.
I hurried off the ladder and ripped the door open, but they were not out of sight and I had no idea where they went.
Fuck.
"Sabrina!" Uncle Fred shouted. "Close the door!"
I did what he told me to, then turned and hurried towards dads office. I knew he was in there, probably doing some paperwork.
The door was open and my eyes landed on dad who stood up behind his desk, hastily going through his paperwork as if he was looking for something he had lost.
"Hey dad?"
He let out a sigh.
"What is it, Sabrina?"
"I'm kind of worried about Alec." I said and folded my arms over my chest as I leaned against the doorway.
Dad looked up from the papers, his eyebrows raised as he looked at me.
