Chapter 100!!!

-

"This is too much." I said, walking back and forth as George sat with the baby, completely in shock.

"What did he do to her..."

"Our nineteen-year-old daughter is a mother!" I exclaimed. "She was forced to be a mum! She was held captive for ten months, forced to be pregnant and deliver a baby... our little girl."

"What did he do..."

"And Alec... our son was held captive. He's been beaten brutally and had to watch another person die. He watched... he watched Bree's girlfriend die... oh god... poor Naomi."

I ran both hands over my face, shaking my head as I turned to George.

"We're grandparents..." he muttered.

"George." I cried. "What do we do? We have two children with so much trauma. This is all my fault."

"Don't say that."

"I found Sabrina's biological father! I brought him into our lives! He kept disappointing her and then he kidnapped her! He kidnapped our children because I brought him into our lives!"

"Allie!" George snapped. "This is not your fucking fault! Do you hear me? No one could know that this would happen! No one could know that he was a raging psychopath who were plotting this. Stop blaming yourself. Right now we need to focus on Alec and Sabrina. They're getting transferred back to England tonight, as well as Emma, and Naomi's body."

I covered my face with my hands, shaking my head.

"I can't handle this, George. Everything keeps going wrong. Why can't we keep them safe? I wanted to give them a better life! I wanted to protect them from everything that happened to me, and I couldn't do that! I can't do it anymore. It hurts too much!"

A nurse walked out into the hallway where we sat, smiling at us both.

"It's time for her feeding. Shall I take her?" She asked, and George thanked her while handing over the baby.

The nurse left, and George stood up, walking over to me. He cupped either side of my face, looking at me for a moment before hugging me.

"We have our babies back." He whispered against my hair. "We have them both back."

"Mum? Dad?" Alec's voice caused us to pull away from each other.

Alec had left the room where Sabrina laid. He was using crutches to support him when walking.

"Hi baby." I smiled. "How're you feeling? Are you sure you should be up?"

"I'm okay, mum." Alec smiled weakly. "I just— have you told Sabrina about Naomi?"

I sighed and George took a deep breath.

"Not yet. We want to wait until we're back in England."

"Okay." Alec nodded. "I want to be the one to tell her."

"No, Alec... you've been through hell. Giving news like that to someone—"

"Dad!" Alec snapped. "I spent nine months in a room with Naomi. I watched him torture her both physically and mentally. I watched him tell her everything. He told her everything that happened to Bree. He told her when she got raped. He told her when she got pregnant. Everything, just to watch her break. He was punishing her for being a girl who was in love with another girl. I watched him— I watched him kill her, and I have to be the one to tell Bree. I owe her that, since I couldn't keep her girlfriend safe."
